Visited this week with two friends for dinner, the first time venturing out since relaxation of England’s Covid rules. Had a wonderful time sat outside in a hut, it was raining heavily but we were kept dry and warm with an added heater. Drinks and...food were bought to us in a timely manner, well presented and tasted great! Covid precautions appeared to still be in place with staff moving around and visiting the toilets indoors (can’t comment on much else as eating outdoors). Great prices currently with 30% off food mon-wed which topped off our night! Highly recommend.More
We had our wedding reception here recently and hired out a small area outside. The staff couldn't of been more helpful, service was great. We decided to go for their buffet option and it didn't disappoint, all our guests commented on how nice it was....We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back.More
We selected the pub as it had good reviews with a mention of covid safety measures. We visited BEFORE 19th July relaxation of rules and were surprised and a little disappointed to find the “front of house” was not wearing a mask. We were quite...nervous about going to a restaurant as one of the people in our group is Clinically vulnerable, this was the first time in a year we had been out to eat. We don’t understand why the front of house was NOT wearing a mask as all the other waiters/waitresses were wearing masks. The front of house (lady) served us and returned to our table on numerous occasions to ask how every was. We all felt very uncomfortable and couldn’t wait for her to go away. I guess she must have some kind of exemption but why have her as the front of house?. What a shame. Food was good and nice decor but will definitely not be returning. Especially as now the restrictions are relaxed, if the pub couldn’t get it right when it was law what chance now.More

We are very disappointed to receive your negative review.
You have said that the food was good and the surroundings were nice. You have said all our staff were wearing masks apart from one who does indeed have an exemption and was wearing her lanyard...More
A pub that had invested for post covid dining - lovely self-contained outdoor seating areas all private / semi-private with heaters. we were told we had a two hour slot but not felt rushed at all. 5 people for two course dinner and drinks -...service excellent and friendly. Well worth a visitMore
Good covid measures and good friendly service.
Unfortunately the food didn't come up to expectations! Salads which included mainly lettuce and poorly prepared red onion.
Definitely not value for money.
