Lovely experience at the Farmhouse. The diablo pizza was to die for! One thing that was missing is Madri. I currently reside in London and love Madri but I can't find it anywhere south of the big smoke. Thanks again to all the lovely staff!

I was treated by my daughters for Father’s Day lunch on Sunday at the Hiltonbury Farmhouse and had a fantastic time with my family. The service was great all the way through from greeting to departure. I understand it was a busy day for the...team and nothing was too much trouble for them despite them being busy throughout. We all had the roast beef which was cooked to perfection followed by the homemade sticky toffee pudding which was delicious! So compliments to the chefs! We will certainly be back in the future!More

We went for a special lunch for a family birthday. We were very disappointed with the service and the food. Service was incredibly slow and when the main courses eventually arrived they were dried up , they had obviously been sitting somewhere for quite some...time. As this is a pub that charges high end prices you expect high end food. We won’t be going back.More

I really didn’t want to be writing this review about this place as it was always a favourite of ours. You will see last year I left a 5* review for this place however, we had a really terrible meal here last night and it...seemed to have gone really down hill. Our family came up to visit from Bristol and we thought we would take them to a slightly more upmarket pub where we have had great experiences in the past. Sadly from start to finish we had an awful experience. We arrived at the restaurant and were greeted by a stressed man who didn’t give us much of a more welcome. We then got to our table and waited a long time to be seen by anyone to order drinks. Once we finally ordered our drinks we ordered two fairly expensive bottles of wine. Rather embarrassingly the young bar man came over and just slammed the bottles of wine on the table. We had no glasses or wine cooler for the wine. We then had to ask for wine glasses and the waiter said he’s run out but will try to get some. He then bought all different shaped glasses and some were dirty. If you are charging expensive restaurant prices for wine then you must at least provide a wine cooler, glasses and pour the wine? The service didn’t get any better as the night went on. We waited 2 hours for our main courses. The pie was overcooked, the chicken burger was a tad on the pink side (both of them) and lacked flavour. In the past there chicken burger here was top draw the baconaise was non existent this time. The vegetables served with the pie were disgusting and salty. The Saving grace was the fish and chips this was excellent. I think the bottom line is, yes this place is a pub however, if you want to charge restaurant prices then the service must match. Dumping wine on the table with no glasses or cooler is not acceptable. The food has definitely declined as well. Sadly we won’t return anymore.More

Fantastic Sunday roast. We eat out a lot and struggle to find a roast that is as nice as a home cooked one but this was fantastic! Would be there all the time if I lived locally. Will be back soon!

Last few visits haven't been that good but with the most recent there was a huge improvement. The young lads waiting were all on the ball and well mannered as was the lady we assume was the Manageress. Food was very good all around over...three courses and not once were we waiting for or struggling to get drinks. As result am now looking forward to visiting again and soon.More

Food very delicious, I had the butternut squash and feta wellington because I’m vegetarian, potatoes were nice and veg was nice - roasted carrots and parsnips. The mangetout were not to my taste but other on our table were happy with them. Staff were friendly...and polite. Nice atmosphere for a Sunday afternoon roast.More
Hi S9098VMlisah, Thank you for taking the time to write such kind words about our pub. We hope to see you back again soon! Kind Regards, THF Team
The chips we had this evening were raw, not triple cooked. The manager then tried to blame it on the sugar content of the potatoes?! I'm a chef, there is no excuse for raw "triple cooked" chips. Total letdown. The regular staff were friendly and...if the manager had just apologised and given us a free drink or a fair price off our meal that would have been the end of it, but she talked to us like we'd never eaten food before and it was the potatoes fault, not the chef. We're not idiots, we know what triple cooked chips should taste like and they shouldn't be RAW! This meal was too expensive to ignore the bad food.More
