I do not understand how so many complaints about the food and they do not improve that is awful way to run a business, we went soup was like water suppose to be cabbage and sausages no sausage in it, coleslaw was bitter purple cabbage...awful, beat chips were good OVER PRICED for all their meals they need to take customers reviews and do something about it before their regulars stop coming so sadMore

What a great surprise, we were visiting family in Winnipeg and my daughter suggested Pineridge. Seems to be in the middle of nowhere, just past the limestone quarries... very strange. But always in awe of people who have the vision to create a venue like...this inc shops, market barn and restaurant. Service was friendly, interactive and knowledgeable, happy to make reco's. Lemon Ricooa Pancakes light and fluffy. Apples crispy in a sweet, tangy compote and a lemon curd drizzle, simply delicious. Jools had the Mushroom Polenta, nice and moist, plenty of mushrooms, good size portion. Daughter had the Chicken and Waffles, nice n crispy chicken, well flavoured with firm and crispy waffles, good dish all round. Ave main dish $20. Place was very busy, definitely need to book. Surprised at poor reviews over past months, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.More

Always an excellent meal, great service, fantastic location. It is nice to get out of the city but not have to go too far. The new shopping village is exceptional, a great idea!

Beautiful setting but the food was sub par. 3 of us had fries and all 3 orders had died a terrible death under the heat lamp and we sent them back. Fresh fries were delivered about 15 min later. Had the pea soup and it...was watery and lacking flavour. The fish was delicious. To summarize the food was average to below average and the price did not reflect the quality of food.More

Sadly it is no longer a favourite spot. Prior to COVID we loved it and have been several times since. I waited to write a review thinking next time it’ll be better, but this was the last time we’ll waste money there. Horribly disappointing. Had...the waffles and chicken, and the waffles were dry, barely any sauce, and meager amount of chicken. Husband had the chicken sandwich. Mediocre at best for the cost. Fries not cooked properly. Also, since the addition of the extra shops, it’s lost its relaxing day out of the city vibe. Too busy, too many people. Don’t waste your money.More

The location is wonderful. However the food is always disappointing, as it has been for 20 years. We keep hoping it will get better but it never does. All four dishes lacked flavour. A breakfast flatbread, the rice bowl (which had overcooked eggs), the pickerel...dish, and the Tostadas with pulled pork were all just hmmm. The last dish looked good but the beans were bland, the pork was tender but lacking flavour, and the salsa verde was very acidic. The only saving grace was the very few pickled red onions! It totally lacked seasoning and any spice or flavour. I am done with this place. I would not recommend.More

My family and I have eaten here dozens of times over the past 20+ years. It has always been a must-visit when we come in to town. This time, 5 of us went for breakfast and boy were we disappointed. The selection has gone down...but the prices have all gone up. We waited 15 minutes for our beverages and the restaurant was mostly empty. There were flies buzzing all over inside and there was a dead one beside me on the windowsill. When the food came about 45 minutes after ordering, it was warm at best. I had one piece of near-burned bacon, one medium cooked and one basically raw piece. The eggs were over cooked. The toast was fine as were the hash browns. There was 2 tiny pieces of watermelon that were almost completely white. My son’s pancakes came dripping in compote-we had to ask for another plate to scrape the pancakes off and transfer to the clean plate. The other 3 breakfasts were similar. Sadly we won’t come back. There are lots of great restaurants in Winnipeg-farther from where we stay when we visit but better value and quality.More

Service was exceptional! Food was absolutely terrible! Pineridge is an experience people come for. For weddings, the environment, shops, birds hill park. It’s all a beautiful area! However, if this was a restaurant only and in the city, no one would go. It’s all mediocre...and expensive. I call it mediocre because of the way they cook their food. It’s always overdone, or something is just off texture wise, for example too greasy or tough, or soggy etc..More

We were a group of four. The setting, beside The Village, is picturesque. Thalia, our server, was attentive and friendly. The fish was deep fried and tasty. The peanut salad was drenched in peanut sauce and I found it inedible. I sent it back. The...shmoo cake desert was tall and tasty. The white chocolate dessert (offered freely as a console for the peanut salad) was unique and tasty.More

Worst experience ever and this is actually the first time that I will take an effort to go into my laptop to log in(change password etc just to air my disappointment) and write review. A brief background, did a reservation but there was some lapse...on our part group of 10, we did not fit in one table so we were offered to eat out in the patio. The weather is not very friendly, it could rain or drizzle so we decided to eat there anyways coz the sun is showing up. Fast forward, we got served coffee and water. Then of course it started to drizzle so we hurried back inside the restaurant and see if we could go back to our reserved table and just squeeze in all to together. Unfortunately they gave it for walk- ins , apologized in fairness but we are right away told : Do you want us to pack your food and eat in the Village market???the food hasn’t been served by the way and would like to cancel if there’s no table , but says NO its prepared. Of course we got disappointed but they are quick right away sending us out, tried to argue a bit but the Asst Manager says: You were told that if it rained you wont have space! But nobody told us that. OK fine we made a decision to eat in the patio….but where’s the customer service there? . Right away suggested to go straight to Market Village ??.. So we did go to the market village with our packed foods. We headed there and OMG, it is closed !. We still tried to enjoy regardless since it’s a relatively long drive , we took out our brunch in the benches and table …and again started to drizzle. In the middle of the meal we packed again and gate crashed to Square village. Thanks Guys for accommodating us .Unbelievable by the way we have 2 children with us!! Went back to Carly Asst Manager to let her know that we were pathetically about to eat while getting wet. She apologized plainly so I can hear it, that she didn’t know its closed. The food is not even great. Asked if they could at least cross out the coffee from the bill since I didn’t even get a chance to get a refill, felt embarrassed that they might think we want to get freebie, the server asked the Asst Manager but didnt say a word and still punched the bill and worst with service charge holly!!!!, didn’t even took it out of the bill as a gesture of goodwill. Carly dear we can pay but we deserve a more humane treatment. Hope you’ll look into these circumstances as it may happen again. It was very very very very frustrating considering the pricey and dry food they served us!! This review may not be heard, I also emailed the General Manager but definitely not a good experience nor should happen to anyone. What mustve been done? Should take care of their customer and don’t be quick to send us out and showed no care. We felt judged and unimportant.More

I had the beet chips and the peanut noodle salad. The service was absolutely great. The beet chips were good although I don’t understand the rosemary. It didn’t stick to the chips and it was whole. The peanut noodle salad (I added pickeral) was not...worth the price I paid. I was expecting a balanced plate of rice noodles vegetables seasoning and greens. It came in a small bowl, barely noodles that were overcooked and the dressing was not flavourful enough to stand up to the cilantro. If looked like a first time cook was working that eveningMore

We went there for my daughters birthday. 3 of us ordered the burger and we told the waitress non of us liked it because of the tomato jam on it took over the whole burger. She said I'm sorry. when it was time to pay...we told them non of us ate our burgers. the waitress went and told the manager he so much as said too bad you didn't order a different one. We asked if we could speak to the manager but the manager refused to come to our table and took off one burger and gave us beet chips. So disappointing. The best part were the young waitress, very nice girls.More

The last couple of visits have been horrible. Food has either taken way too long, cold, undercooked, burnt or just wrong. Not sure if the kitchen is understaffed or they just don't care with all the money coming in but my friends and I used...to go every other month. The last visit we had, we made a reservation for 7:15, didn't get water, drink and appetizer order until around 7:30 and the waitress didn't come back for our food order till just before 8. The food didn't come out until 8:45. Mind you, one guest was vegetarian and got a salad, the other got mac and cheese with a salad and I got the fish. The capers were crispy burnt, fish was cold and over salted, the plate wasn't even warm. (I've had a burger that was oozing red with a salad that was hot here too so that being considered, it could've been worse.) By the time we finally got our food and paid our bills, it was well past 9 and I had to get home to my family instead of having time to shop around like we had planned. (Pretty sure the shops closed at 9) I go there in honour of our friend who passed, it was her favourite place to go chat, eat and relax. The place is beautiful but I don't wanna waste money on food I'm not going to enjoy. We will still continue to support local businesses, just won't be eating at the restaurant for a while. The skating trail was also a hilly, lumpy mess. Snow covered and packed down. Someone said it was better now though, just be careful. The restaurant is pricey but you get IG worth photos just lately the food hasn't been great eating wise.More

We went with our daughter and her husband. A repeat visit, we have eaten here a few times a year for the past 4 years. A favourite that has not disappointed until now. Service was as good as ever, no issues at all. And the...quality of the foods was as good as ever. However, the schnitzel (a winter menu favourite of ours) was not as good as past years. Very salty and a bit tough. Mac and cheese was “ok” no more than that. The Arctic char was excellent in all aspects, but a dozen roasted radishes? A bit exuberant. Finally the duck breast. The biggest disappointment of all. Why was it served as two large (think petite filet size) pieces? Thinly sliced would have improved it dramatically and while the flavour was good, the meat was tough. The charred radicchio was enthusiastically charred, too much for my taste, but it paired well with the duck. The last part of the dish was the worst to me. Squash polenta. Seems interesting, but it was simply muck. It tasted of neither polenta nor squash, had a grainy unpleasant texture and added nothing to any other element of the dish. I hope the spring menu is better. I think I’ll wait to see as I won’t be back for these dishes.More
