Great bread and prosecco and very friendly staff but that is all. The food is very average and out of balance. Two degustation menus but you can not take one of each if the two of you come to dinner.

What a beautiful place, with great food and excellent service. We had a lovely evening and felt very welcome. A very nice atmosphere in the garden where we had our table. We especially enjoyed the kind service and recommendations. Definitely will return.
We stayed a night at the hotel and ate dinner here and it was amazing. Food was excellent and the waiter gave us great recommendations and was super friendly. Our best meal of the trip so far and would recommend it for a special night...out!More
In such difficult times, what better way to continue our support for the hospitality industry than with a visit to “1883 Restaurant”in Cervignano. A truly amazing and unforgettable dinner. Staff were very friendly, charming, helpful and most of all knowledgeable about food and wine. The...food itself was beautifully designed, full of flavour and perfectly balanced. I’ve visited the restaurant several times and tried both testing menus they offer and I would highly recommend them for the experience. Perfection on every level.More
Cervignano is an interesting old town with little to do with this 150 year old hotel building. Can easily get put off by the exterior - not so nice , could use a coat of paint but the inside is quite nice . Rooms are...clean , air conditioned with comfortable beds and very clean and complete bathrooms . Very good secure covered bike storage . Best part is the manager - a young man named Stefano - speaks little English but was very pleasant and helpful . Close to RR station to Venezia, 18 km. from Grado and 18km. to Monfalcone . Great place to stop and regroup but not a whole lot to do here . Almost all restaurants are closed on Monday but there is a market and a few ice cream/gelato shops close by . Would stay here again .More
The restaurant gets #1 slot in the area - and to be fair, there is not much culinary competition so that rating is to be deserved. The attitude of the maitre d is however something of a different order of rating. Rather than being helpful...and listening, he tells you what is good for you and does not listen to what you say you actually want. It may have been his attempt to be helpful, but it came across as arrogant and patronising. 'the maitre d' is always right and is doing you a favour by dictating to you your own taste'! As a result, he ruined the atmosphere for us, which was a pity as the food was a 4. It wouldnt be a place I rushed back to.More
We were received very friendly and enjoyed an attentive service. A lot of informations about the vine and dishes without being too much. We enjoyed the big degustation menu with fish and seafood. All courses were wonderfully arranged, fresh ingredients and nicely composed aromas. The...accompanying wines went very well with the courses and are offered for 10€ plus on the price on the menu. The restaurant is decorated with a mix of a few antiquities and modern furniture. The grey peint, stone of the original walls and wooden roof give the room an elegant and warm touch. We highly recommend this restaurant for a special evening to enjoy high class Italian cuisine for a reasonable price (sure it is not cheap). I hope this young team will gain more and more guests what they deserve.More
We were travelling in Italy in family and we were looking for a restaurant in the small city of cerviniano, we found this one by luck. It was an amazing experience!! The food was amazing, the owner of the restaurant detailed us every meal and...we even had the chance to meet the chief cook! I recommend this restaurant!!More
