Having visited earlier during this unusual year and being impressed by the measures in place we chose to return on a cold but beautiful day to sample the festive offerings.
Lovely and cosy inside and an excellent table in the window to enjoy the views. We’d pre booked and were aware that the table was ours for 1.75 hours, ample time for our meal.
The usual menu was available alongside the 2/3 course festive menu @£17.95/£21.95 respectively. The seniors menu, available on weekdays offers remarkable value and includes a suitably Christmassy offering too.
No Christmas works lunch this year so chose the turkey dinner & Xmas pud. Perfect portion size with tasty moist turkey and well cooked vegetable selection. My other half thoroughly enjoyed the delicious beef cobbler, a deceptively large portion, served with mash. The pud was picture perfect, just the right size and tasty too.
A few tables occupied, but we’d chosen a quiet time deliberately for our first trip to eat out in a long while and very enjoyable it was too!

My daughter husband and two grandchildren are staying on the caravan site. My son and I travelled to have the day there and booked for knights table. We have been before, it’s been renovated but the place is still friendly and amazing. I had the special salmon fillet on lobster risotto, delicious, my son had beef sandwich it was massive, even the grandchildren went from the norm and had fish fingers which were home made and looked amazing, my granddaughter had the children’s macaroni cheese with garlic bread. I change from the normal pizza and chicken nuggets. Everyone enjoyed the meal and it was participating in eat out to help out. Absolute bargain, six meals including drinks and several beers for the residents less then £50.

Visited here for a weekday lunch. Arrived at venue having travelled down Dog Hill Brow across the river Ribble from Stainforth. This is a very narrow lane, so don't go down it with anything big or with a trailer/ caravan unless you want to get stuck! Arriving from Stainforth Lane is much easier and far more accessible. This cafe diner is extremely popular and was completely full when we ate there. The views across the valley are really nice. There is a proper bar that serves beer/ wine. The cafe menu is extensive and everything was freshly prepared. Portions were generous. Really nice people serving too. Nice grub and cup of tea was had. Good value.

I booked a table for 2 on Sunday evening... Lovely views driving in to the knights table. We had to wait nearly an hour from ordering our food, we ordered beef cobbler the veg was hot and fresh, mash was creamy and the meat was tasty and tender. We were out faced with the food could not fault it.
We found it lacked an atmosphere in the main dining area it was more like a cafe environment. We were smartly dressed and felt a little out of place.

Ate at the Knights Table a few times over this weekend- on the first visit the food was great, and service was okay- the restaurant wasn’t very busy but service was a little slow. Ordered takeout on Saturday. Despite being told several times just to order takeout on the day, when I called on the day it was clear they would struggle with our order and they asked if we could pick up at an earlier time. Wouldn’t have mind so much if I hadn’t asked a couple of times if we should order in advance and was told there was no need. Sunday evening we had a table booked, the restaurant wasn’t very busy when we arrived, but it seemed it had been busy. Waiting staff weren’t ‘with it’- we had to wait for staff to pass so we could ask for more drinks, and were there for around 1 hour 30 minutes before the food arrived. Thankfully the food was fantastic, but we couldn’t help but feel the staff would rather we weren’t there. Overall, it’s a great place to eat, but service needs to be improved.

Went with family for Sunday lunch. Menu different due to roasts on offer. We all really enjoyed our food. I would happily have given 5 stars but we went back as a couple in August as we really wanted the Grandma cheese pie. Booked a table a couple of days before. This time we were sat upstairs in the art gallery - no atmosphere and limited views so ask for main part when you book. Also food took an hour to arrive so being sat alone upstairs all that time waiting by ourselves was not that nice. Especially when we were very hungry. Shame as our 4 or so previous visits have been excellent

We walked from the car park in Stainforth to go and see the STAINFORTH FORCE which was amazing after all the rainfall recently. Saw the signs for Knight Stainforth Cafe so thought we’d see if we could get a cuppa. Ordered tea for 2 which was served in a big pot and we drank our fill. Hubby had hot beef and onions in ciabatta and chips served with gravy. He was well impressed when it arrived as it was bigger that he expected👍. Staff wore visors and social distancing was adhered to throughout the cafe. Excellent.

The restaurant is a modern barn style building and light and airy. The staff are very friendly. The menu is good pub staples. We had chicken and chips and fish and chips which were tasty and good portion sizes. Since the restaurant is next to a camp site there are a lot of families so it has a lively atmosphere.

Lovely setting but unfortunately we didn't get chance to try the food. We left as the staff were so rude. We really felt like we were putting them out as they had to clean a table for us. They were huffing and puffing about doing it. Another member of staff then proceeded to tell us that they were only serving bacon sandwiches eventhough another member of staff had given us a full menu. Strange service, almost as if they didn't want any customers. We decided to vote with our feet and go elsewhere. We really felt like we were an inconvenience to them by being there (It wasn't busy) or that we had upset them somehow. But we had been so polite, worn masks and hand gelled etc. We were excited to be out and about finally and everyone else we had encountered in and around Settle had just been so friendly and welcoming so we were very surprised by this place especially as it had been recommended.

Visited for a meal with friends on Sunday evening. We were all pleased to find the Sunday lunch menu was available in the evening and enjoyed a beautifully cooked roast beef dinner. The beef was a generous portion, very tender, and the vegetable selection was varied and perfectly cooked. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The venue was spacious with a fine open feeling and good atmosphere. A lovely meal!

Hubby had pie, which was fine, but my pizza was disapointinly small, had a very wide crust and very meagre toppings. We actually thought it was a mistake and we had been given the child's size pizza Since the cost of pizza dough must be tiny, it was sad they seemed to scrimp. Also, the toppings were just too skimpy and not like the menu description. A few tiny scraps of ham and a scrape of tomato. I know "authentic hand stretched pizza" has a raised border, but this one was huge compared to the size of the pizza overall. Since the topping does not go to the edge, it meant that one had a lot of plain dough to get through, a bit like being served a large bread roll with your pizza. Most of it was cut off and left. Cost of ingredients versus menu price means a huge markup, so why not make the pizza true adult size for perhaps a few pence more to you and keep the customers happy.

I'm local to the restaurant ,and have seen many good eating establishments in the area turned into what I would call smear and drizzle outfits .The knights table is no such place thank goodness.
The menu is varied with a wide selection for everyone's taste ,the staff are friendly, attentive and efficient without checking you every two minutes. The food is freshly prepared and hot when it arrives, generous portion size, perfectly presented and consistently and wonderfully cooked by a local chef .
There is a wide range of well kept beers and drinks. I just cant fault it.
Top marks to a local establishment offering a varied modern menu, but preserving traditional Yorkshire service with regards to cost, flavourful and well cooked food and portion size!!
My advice if your visiting is go for a walk before you eat as afterwards you may want to rest for a while !

We ate a meal on a Saturday night and the place was busy and noisy. Despite this it was lacking in atmosphere; it felt like everyone was rushed to eat then vacate the table for the next booking.
We had specials which was a Thai fish stew and it was watery and bland; we struggled to find anything Thai about it. We wanted to have a dessert but the atmosphere wasn’t inviting us to stay longer and we so underwhelmed by the main meal and the overall experience so we gave it a miss.
