We stayed overnight and the place was wow. Very nice and maintained place. We came for pahiyas. Food is so so

This stop-over restaurant is interestingly built in native Filipino motif, using a lot of bamboo in its furniture, lamps and rooms. The food is average. Service quick and friendly.

This is a feel good place to relax, recharge and be away from the city even for just a couple of days. You get to remember the feeling of living in a barrio. Warm and hospitable staff, nice food, wonderful place, fresh air. Even the background music is fantastic.
We had the rare opportunity and talk to the owners. They share the beginnings of Sam Kara and initially plan for just a resthouse to go to during weekends and a small bed and breakfast place, it was an instant hit since food are cooked and served by the locals of Lucban.
They retained the serenity of the place (all greens, carabao, horses, bamboo rooms, cottages, ducks, palayan, etc...) and did not do the typical resort-type amenities. Just enough to make the guest feel relax and give them privacy.
Though internet/ telco connections are challenging, they find ways to be able to connect to queries by looking for hot spot areas. We made the booking through Booking.Com and they contacted us right away. Glad that we get to have the last available room.
We promised to be back by November coz the palayan will turn golden and ready for harvest. We want to see how they do it. Truly a must visit place!

Restaurant is both romantic and family friendly. They'll recommend their best sellers to assist undecided customers.
True to their word, the food is definitely a must try. This is the first time I've tried carabao meat, and it's safe to say that it's not going to be my last. :)

A long the narrow road of Majayjay, Lucban, Quezon you will be amaze that there is such Restaurant & Resort in that particular place, a paradise with in a reach.
