Best, most consistent food in Mbale! I might be a bit more svelte if this place did not exist but I’d also be a lot hungrier! The atmosphere is relaxing and they have the added touches - candles to keep your teapots hot, appropriate glassware, nice additional garnishes for aesthetics. For a place that has such a diverse menu (something for everyone!) I am surprised they can pull it all off well. Their service staff are always extremely attentive, the management team is quick to respond to a whatsapp if you have an inquiry. They focus on quality - in the off chance we don’t finish our fresh juice or our plates someone always inquires if everything is okay. Need to run? Everything is packed drinks and all in a hurry. Have a complaint? Raise it and it is always resolved (in 2 years we have only had 2 issues that were really not their fault just a breakdown in communication that they immediately remedied at no cost to us). I could not recommend anywhere more highly and I am grateful to have this walkable escape for great food, friendly familiar faces and exceptional service.

A restaurant that fixed a mistake and came out on top.

This was a really good restaurant. There was only one problem but to fair to them they rectified it and everything else was excellent. We visited 3 times during our trip. The problem was that the menu described something as hot instead of as spicy. It was incredibly spicy and we couldn’t eat it. They replaced it without the spice and didn’t charge for the original dish. Everything else was spot on.

Fantastic view, atmosphere, and food

This was our first time visiting Colobus and the service is fantastic with a great atmosphere as well. We had milk shakes, quesadillas, onion rings, and burgers. It was all very good. I would personally recommend the mango milk shake!

Visited this cafe with friends in Mbale. It has a beautiful and cosy set up. A good ambience for both working clientele and family dinners. A well thought out menu with a variety of continental & Asian meals. The pizzas and Burgers were delicious. The staff were very welcoming & frendly. Simply the best cafe in Mbale

POOR CUSTOMER CARE BY THE WAITRESS ON DUTY TODAY 26Th APRIL 2023

The customer care is Lucking, I walked in, found my self a seat,Sat for 10 minutes with no one to take my attention, walked to the counter and asked the lady if they are offering a service,her response was that I have just walked in. That shocked me, she didn't offer me a seat, nor welcomed me, I walked out to find a sear outside and wasn't moved. The waiter pased by requested to be served, he was polite and attended to me. The waitress on duty today the 26th of April in the evening walked to my table 30 minutes after the waiter had taken my order. Can the prioptee fill the gap of poor customer care? Isn't capacity constraint,isn't poor pay that they are laid back? Pse look into it bse the business will go down if the attitude of the workers isn't good.
