Great food and service

We had great food here which was good value and tasted lovely. We would recommend the marlin and flying fish sandwiches and the grilled chicken sandwich was tasty too. The cold Banks beers washed the food down well at 3 for 10 BDS.

Great Location.

Popular street bar by Dover Beach square. A good range of traditional and fast foods at good prices and multi buy deals on beers. Service and food quality can suffer when very busy, but the locals can usually be entertaining while you wait. The bill quite often has items missing during busy periods, but staff extremely grateful when errors are pointed out! Cash only.

Frozen food

We stopped here as it was popular in the area. Is a small business family, not the cleanest, but since it was populated we gave it a try. Is not really a restaurant, is a truck with tables next to sidewalk We had burger and shrimp. Burger was frozen, with a small slice of cheese and some veggies, shrimp was good (not sure if also frozen) We could not pay by card, cash only. Not the best, but cheap

Not as cheap and cheerful as suggested

From the reviews we really thought this could be one of those Bajan treats of a little stall selling good local food at a reasonable price. Beer was at the cheaper end of local prices but the food was a bit dearer and disappointing, not as fresh or well cooked as we would expect. Also asked for more beers which never came, the lady staff seemed disinterested

Sorry daddy lovers. This was one of the worst experiences for food and drink I have had on the island. Service was unbelievably slow and the waitress didn’t know what was available. We ordered and 30 mins late she popped up and told us only burgers were now available, and hour later we had the cheapest burgers and soggy chips dumped on our table. Daddy has to be the grumpiest rudest person I have met on the island. We paid and will never return.

Always well looked after at Daddy’s. The best fried/jerk chicken in the Caribbean. We have spent a week in this location on many occasions and always frequent Daddy’s, for a bit of lunch or dinner when we can’t decide where to go, or a couple of drinks on our way out. Polite staff that will always make you feel welcome as you sip a local beer or rum and coke. We will be back on our next visit.

Awful & Rude Service

Very slow service. We appreciate that it was busy, but after waiting over an hour for food we were told it was because there was a larger table before us (who were actually seated after us.) We were prepared to wait and then a couple who joined our table 45 minutes after us were served the same food we ordered before us! Staff were very rude and un-apologetic - so we left without eating!

Consistent lunchtime spot for food and beer

Daddy's is a great lunch spot. Just off Dover beach near St Lawrence Gap, you can get 4xDeputy beers for BDS12 or 3xBanks for BDS12, plus a decent burger, flying fish or salad without breaking the bank. The kids will also say that the cheesy chips can be a lunch in themselves. Ate there 10 lunches over a two week holiday - very consistent experience. JERK CHICKEN

We stayed at a hotel really close by and came here a few times. Super relaxed and friendly staff. Don't leave this part of town without trying the jerk chicken. It was literally almost as good, if not better, as a meal I had at one of the most expensive restaurants in The Gap. I didn't like the sweet potato fries, but the rice and regular fries my partner had were delicious. They have cheap beers (4 for $10 Deputy for example) and the food is more than reasonably priced for what you get. 100% recommend for an affordable and delicious meal.

Ate here a couple of times, first time had the chicken roti which was amazing. Second time, I had fried chicken with sweet potato fries that was pretty much still raw. It was edible but not very appealing, a real shame. Will give Daddy the benefit of the doubt, but the roti is worth going for.

Great casual outdoor dining with shade and local food for lunch

Cheap and cheerful we came here 4 times for lunch. Hubby loved the roti (note: it has mostly potato but he likes it with not much chicken). I enjoyed the flying fish, macaroni pie, and the bbq chicken (I also tried the jerk chicken but it was more like bbq chicken with some hot sauce on it that didn’t taste like Jamaican jerk but still enjoyable). Good service, everything cooked fresh and they would tell you if something was still being prepared so would be eg a 15 minute wait so you could decide whether to wait or choose something else. Nice to eat outdoors and there was shade and didn’t mind sharing a table when they were busy. Will definitely come here again for lunch next time we are in Barbados!

3 ice cold beers and Jerk Chicken and Chips £25 (Sterling). Not only is it a great price, but it's served and cooked fast by local people. Forget the silly expense restaurants and come and eat in a proper home local! Awesome x

Great bar food eat with the locals love it

Just returned from our first non all inclusive stay in Barbados. we go out a lot with Bajan friends and spend a lot of money on top of all inclusive so decided to go room with breakfast. We met loads of our friends in this place, great value for money, Had a lot of laughter and fun here with friends :) thank you for looking after us, tried, burgers, flying fish, Fried chickens, MAC pie, chips, sweet potato fries, plantain, roti, all were great. Absolutely love the place. Great hosts see you in September :)

Ate here every day for two weeks

No question as to where to go for lunch. The key for Daddy's is consistency. By day 3 the waitress/owner/chef was asking us if we needed the menus and was on her way to getting us a beer each as we sat down. Highly recommended the burger and cheesy chips. We were treated fantastically and the location (just off the beach) is excellent. Pricing is not bad at all considering how expensive everything is on the island nowadays. Would 100% recommended, and can say with absolute certainty that if I am there again next summer, I will eat there every day as I did this year and last.

Don't miss out!

This restaurant is the friendliest we have been to during our stay in Dover, on arrival you are made welcome and the warm family make it a wonderful experience. As for the food - just brilliant! There is a small seating area close to the barbecue and you watch the attention they give to every order whether chicken or burgers etc. This is not mass produced, quickly turned around food, it's a quality family run business where they take pride in each and every order. You won't be disappointed.
