Finding a good place to eat in a new destination is quite tricky, but with the help of tripadvisor, we were given options to explore. One of them was Garbiel's Food, a small hole in the wall place situated diagonally across the radio station of...GMA. It's a quiant resto that has giant vibe, what with the large Bob Marley mural and other suck icons on its walls. The colorful reggae vibe gave life to the small place, including the colorful dining accessories. The food was really good, and serving sizes were pretty good too. We had the Monsterific burger and the ribs with potato salad. They were delicious. It saddened us to find out though that they ean out of crepes which we were also looking forward to. This is one place definitely worth going back to and recommending. Simple but scrumptuos food, lively ambiance and good service. Makes you feel right at home with Bob Marley. =)More
A nice, clean, little place in front of gma. Trike fare is 8 pesos. I ordered the best seller burger called monsteriffic and mango shake. The burger's patty was just alright, nothing special. No lettuce available they said they ran out of it so I...was a bit disappointed. Pineapple on the burger was really good and the tomato sauce that tastes mexican that comes with a small portion of french fries was good too. Their mango shake was really good though. It was really milky and it's only 60 pesos! I recommend that one. I like the paintings on the wall and the upbeat music they are playing. Overall it was good and would love to go back and try another dish.More
I found out about this place by shear fluke, these last 6 months I had put up with lack luster offerings from many local locations to be told by a friend of a friend to give this place a shot. It was not the easiest...place to find as the direction I was given where not the best, basically head past Gaisano mall (on your left) keep going for a minute or so and the restaurant is located in a row of shops to the right. They have a really nice compact dining area that is very clean, with painted art murals of Bob Marley on the wall, nice touch!!!. The kitchen area is located to the back and more importantly you can see the food being prepared. The lady working there was very good at explaining the menu, I went with a fresh fish fillet burger my wife went for a burger and fries. Whilst the food was cooking I looked at the menu some more and noticed the German influence such as Fresh German sausage etc and I we was informed that one of the owners is German. Now this really shows in the presentation of the place and the quality standard of the food. Something I also like is that it is not trying to be something it isn't. This is not fine dining it is a honest little place that serves fresh food freshly cooked for a good price, it would best be described to a expat as a small dinner. If this first meal we had there is anything to go by I will use this place really often. RegardsMore
They serve both German and Filipino dishes. I ordered their beef goulash with rice and loved it. The place is suitable for small groups only as the place is quite small.
New address andago extension front of gma. Walking distance to Gaisano. I have been eating at this restaurant for about ten years. The lication has changed about three times. Real burgers and german food at a good price. Spotlessly clean and friendly service. Small family...business. Ac restaurant. Ate batchoy a local soup and halo halo ice desert.More
