We visited kalibo last 14nov2018 and I have to say, this japanese restaurant is legit. lets start with their sashimi, we tried the tuna and salmon their cut and portion of it was superb! then we had their chef recommended maki, it was so packed with flavors with all the flavors just playing inside your mouth. I ordered the Gyudon as my main and it was so juicy and tender almost melts in your mouth kind of beef with the onion caramelized... (salivating as i write ;) rice in it was just enough, not sure if for guys that would be ok. my husband ordered thwir ramen, which I tried as well, apparantly they make their own noodles so you would taste its freshness it was so flavorful and filling and my hubby devoured the whole thing. we also had the 5pcs tempura which you could tell from the batter that it was a legit tempura. their chicken teriyaki has a charcoal flavor complete with its distict sweet sauce(i died). we had a lot on our table but we ate it all! I saved the best for last, their gyoza is home made guys! you can tell that it is fresh and that good from your first bite, juice will ooze out and that steam from your bite just says it all. the place is well lit and have ambiance light. seating is comfortable from which you can choose from chairs or floor style seating. staff are accommodating and recommends the best option for you. location is perfect as it is just along the main road and accessible. bathroom is clean with amenities available. price is surprisingly cheap and affordable from the portion and quality you get. the more reason we loved it! will definitely come back again!!

Delicious food. Service was great too, all the people who works there were super super nice and accommodating. Katsudon and teppanyaki made me remember the times I was in Japan for food trip. Lol.

On vacation we enjoy our friends and family cooking so many Pinoy dishes. But sometimes you just need a change. Minori Japanese is a good way to change up from all that chicken and pork we eat at home. The sukiyaki was ok but appreciated since our only beef was bistek up to then. I had the bento (lunch box) with sashimi. Again all was just OK, but having something different was why we came.

This is the 6th time we have been to this restaurant. The service was initially very good but has gotten worse over time. I had taken my sister and niece there who had been visiting from the states. The first negative thing was they had no SAKI! They were quite disappointed. Every Japanese Restaurant should have Saki!!! The second negative was we had to set our own table! We had no dipping plate, no utensils! We had to ask for utensils AFTER they served our food!!! Third negative was they served the food one at a time and not together. That is common restaurant etiquette in a 'NICE' restaurant. FOURTH negative is that the server never checked on our table to see how our food was or if we needed anything else or even water. The FIFTH negative was that my wife and I noticed that the food was not as good as the first few times we went. The quality of presentation was worse. And where is the sushi ginger garnish? That is always served with sushi!!! Minori owner: You should make sure your servers are properly trained or you will lose business!!! The food was mediocre and the service was bad! Shame on you Minori Owner! You are not paying attention to your business!

They captured the “Japanese” vibe, very good food and fairly ok service. Their salmon sashimi is not fresh but still ok. Rest of the menu are very good. We loved their beef, it was tender.

Minori is a newly reopened Japanese restaurant in Kalibo located at Roxas Ave. Extension beside RGMA DYRU. The interior offers interesting seating options where you have the standard tables and chairs or the Japanese cabana where you dine Japanese style (seated on cushions on a raised platform) The focal point is the stylized cherry blossom tree at the center of the dining area (to camouflage a large column) which gives an impression of dining outdoors. The food are freshly prepared and offers the usual Japanese fare of sushi, sashimi, ramen, bento, rice bowls and tempura. A must-try is their wasabi ice cream! It gives you that punch after a good meal. They also have soju and Japanese beer for those who would like to chill out after a meal. Operating hours are 10 a.m.-2 p.m. for lunch and 6 p.m.-10 p.m. for dinner.

Kalibo, Aklan is a simple town compared to Boracay, Malay, Aklan (which is not a town but just an island in another town). Yet there is a Minori - the food is very good, the location is good, the resto is like you are literally in Japan. They say that rating a resto is very subjective - I personally suggest that if you’ll be in Kalibo (before or after going to Boracay) - dine in at Minori and find out why I rated it a 5.

Nice little Japanese around the back of a gas station and hospital. They were missing a few things on the menu but everything that they did have was to a good standard. I would recommend to anyone looking for a decent meal in Kalibo!!

I ate here with my family for my birthday dinner. The sashimi just MELTS in your mouth. amazing. pretty pricey however. The closest you can get to authentic Jap food perhaps in the whole of Aklan.

Food was great , they have ramen which my daughter loved . We order for salmon sushi and it was absolutely fresh, I don't usually like salmon but this one is goooood. We had EBI terrayaki , gyoza and chicken Teriyaki donburi. The later was not really good though . staff were so accommodating. They have free Rice tea that you can refill anytime . Place was bit tight but just alright . Maybe they need to have their aircon fixed because it's getting hotter when it's full inside already .

What I love about this place is the staff who are very accommodating and attentive to customer needs. On every visit, I feel satisfied with the service given to me. The food is great but quite pricey. We love the gyoza and the Hokkaido milk tea.

The maki and matcha ice cream are excellent. If you want spicy maki, I recommend Volcano Salmon Maki.
