The day begins on the right note when you have your breakfast at Salamandas. I've been to Coco Grove with my family many times over the years and have always enjoyed the breakfast that's offered. The selection is great and the food very fresh. I also enjoyed the breakfasts at the Sunset Restaurant mostly for the location, but the selection of items is greater at Salamandas. The service is great at both restaurants, but I must say that we especially like Salamandas because of the excellent service and attention by Roselio. Always a smile and friendly attitude make him one of the best on the staff. Thank you, Roselio!
The dinner menu is quite varied, but not all items were available. I wanted to order the abalone or the local lobster, but both were not available. So, I went with the Mahi-Mahi and it was not the best I've had there. It was a little overcooked and the portion was on the small side. Next time I'll be sure to ask for it "rare." My wife is not a big drinker, so I wanted to order white wine by the glass, but I was told that white wine was not available by the glass.... only red. For desert I ordered the blueberry cheesecake. It had the taste and consistency of a mousse, not a cheesecake. I have to admit it that I was a little disappointed because I was really looking forward to a cheesecake. But I still enjoyed it for what it was.
The service at Salamandas, just like the service at Coco Grove, is top notch. The atmosphere is very comfortable, whether you sit inside or beach side. All the positive elements are there for a very enjoyable experience!

We have visited this restaurant many times over the years and have found a very friendly welcome with charming staff under the supervision of Roselio the Manager.
The setting is delightful beside the beach with the option of eating in the restaunt or at a table outside. In the evenings there is often musical entertainment from local singing groups and especially good are the two sisters who work in the resort.
The food is good and reasonably priced and there is a very pleasant atmosphere to the whole experience, whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner

I stayed at the Coco Grove Resort for a couple of weeks while looking for a place to live on Siquijor Island. Needless to say, I dined at Salamandas, which is situated right on the beach, many times. Now that I’m living on the island, I still enjoy going to Salamandas, each week. The variety on the menu, excellent service by the knowledgeable and friendly staff, very fresh well prepared ingredients make the trip, a real pleasure. If you happen to find yourself on Siquijor Island, be sure to visit!

I ate most of my meals here during my 9-day stay at the resort, and every time was a treat. The Filipino breakfast was excellent, simple and well-prepared. Always fresh fruit available, and right on the beach so you can enjoy the beach while eating.
The service was excellent. Roselio took care of us 90% of the time and he was really fantastic! He made us laugh and feel at home, and always greeted us with a smile. The rest of the staff was attentive and kind as well, we had only positive experiences here.
The food for lunch/dinner was good, sometimes they were out of certain things, but as it is an island and resources are more difficult to get, this is understandable.
Overall we loved our meals here and the staff treat you like family. Would highly recommend!

The interior of the restaurant is rustic, charming and designed to perfection blending in beautifully with the exceptional landscape including fine white sand overlooking the calm blue waters of the ocean. This view is complimented by awesome views of Mindanao and Apo Islands.
The food menu is varied without complication but flexibility is also allowed (just in case your enjoying a long stay). Breakfast includes delicious fruit, copious amounts of tea/coffee and a perfect combination of healthy/Asian/Western favourites. Likewise the dinner choices offer similar variety and portions are generous.
However the outstanding feature of this fine eatery is the hardworking and personable staff who make each visit so enjoyable and entertaining. Roselio is the main go to guy who provides exceptional service always with a huge smile. Born on the island he has unparalleled knowledge and provides up to date information on all issues. Jelly also deserves a special mention for her infectious laughter.
Simply the best restaurant on the island.

The restaurant service was the best. The staff were genuinely nice and happy to give you the best experience. Though my pork spareribs could be cooked less, the ambience and the people altogether make me want to come back. Coco Grove staff have a way of making you feel special.

My family and I love to have breakfast, lunch and dinner in this amazing restaurant. You have multiple choices in its large and delicious menu. Salamandas it's located in the first line on the beach where you can also enjoy your food and drinks in its outdoors terrace while your feet feel the white sand. But what we love the most is the amazing team ran by Roselio, they really take care of your stay and make you feel like home.

Living in the island for 21 years has been great. I was contented with the usual set up my family has regarding get-togethers. But recently, we took time to relax @ Coco Grove and we had a very excellent stay. What made it more amazing was the sumptuous food the Salamandas restaurant offered us. They also serve on time, the staff were very accommodating and overall it was an experience our family would never forget.

I ate here several times for breakfast, lunch and dinner during my stay at the resort. The restaurant is excellent. (The resort is also excellent by the way.)
The food is delicious. The quality is very good. They tell you if something will be maybe different than expected. For example today I wanted mango. The staff told me immediately that today the mangos are a little bit sour than usual.
The staff is more than friendly and very attentive.
The atmosphere is great directly at the beach.
I can recommend this restaurant and the choco banana shake 100%.

is exactly right here.
A wide selection... with delicious dishes for all tastes. There is almost always life music.
Salamandas is one of the restaurants at Coco Grove, the most beautiful and best resort on Siquijor Island.

We ate here several times for breakfast, lunch and dinner, including dessert. All aspects were really good with a special shout out for the banana pancakes at breakfast. There are usually specials in each night also. All the staff are friendly and enthusiastic without seeming disingenuous. I was lucky enough to have my birthday here to which they set up a decorated table facing out to sea, sang me a song with birthday cake! Can’t wait to see them again.

Set on a romantic beachfront, tables beneath thatch umbrella, our family of four were treated not only to gracious, friendly service, but also the most delicious crabs, cooked in a sauce of FRESH coconut. Service was not overwhelming but attentive during our two and a half hour meal.
A reasonably priced French Chardonnay complimented the crabs and fresh string beans.
Dessert, a banana split flambé, it’s blue flame dancing, and a mouth-watering vanilla ice creme send us to a peaceful stroll along the beachfront, the sounds of lapping waves romantic.

While at the Coco Beach Resort, you can enjoy delicious and varied culinary choices at this wonderful open-air beachfront eatery. You will be assisted by charming and friendly waiters and waitresses. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner in the main restaurant building or under one of multiple beachfront thatched palapas.

We stood in Coco Grove Beach Hotel for two weeks and we ate in this restaurant almost 3 times per day.
From fish to meat and vegetables everything was excellent.
The Leche flan (great pastry) was succulent and my wife never had enough of fruits.
The staff was always more than friendly and so professional..
We felt like home.
Thanks to all the staff there,Rosello ,"super" Vince, Momaï,and all the wonderfull waitress...

Located right on a very private beach which has amazing sunsets and a choice of indoor or outdoor seating, cabanas also available. We have had excellent food here , the thai currys are a must try! We got engaged here and there was such an effort to make it special for us , the cabana was decked out with flower petals, candles and lanterns and was so stunning. There are daily specials as well as the normal menu, i would 100% recommend dining here for a special experience if you are on the island of siquijor.
