Wonderful restaurant with a great selection of meals on their diverse menu together with daily specials. Lovely ambience with a spacious al fresco setting. The food is excellent, prepared with culinary expertise and beautifully presented upon serving. We were surprised that prices are so economical given the quality of cuisine. There is no car parking at the restaurant however it is a short walk from the dedicated parking lots in Panagsama. Definitely worth a visit!

From what we experienced, this is the best restaurant in Moalboal. They serve amazing meals sourced from fresh and local ingredients. We fell in love with the tuna mango tartare. The mains and crepes were equally amazing, and that is why we came back for breakfast the following day and again for dinner. Gilbert and Marie hosted us like royals. We thought that everything was a good value for the great experience. HIGHLY recommended.

There were four of us at Café Francais. The fish (barracuda) in lemon butter sauce with crispy vegetables and boiled potatoes was excellent. The pork strips in mushroom sauce with side dishes were also delicious. I can absolutely recommend the restaurant

We went for Christmas dinner are reading all the great reviews. It’s hardly French with brusquetta (as they spelt it) Greek salad,Caesar salad and over half the dishes were pasta. Luckily There were crepes as the other options were tira misu or panne cotta. The wines by the glass were all Italian (and the red wine was served chilled). We were a table for two and the second main course came out after my partner had finished eating. I order beef with a sauce which was served split and greasy. A real shame. The crepes were good and the service average

Very pleasant outdoor restaurant, nice selection of wines, quality home cooking, we tried 3 dishes and will return there this evening to eat there again. Our best dining experience in moalboal. Very nice atmosphere, staff and very welcoming boss. Not to miss

After eating in a few different places in Panagsama/Moalboal some friends invited me to this restaurant for dinner. The quality of the food was immediately apparent and, together with the wine, it all made for a great evening out. I had the salmon carpaccio which was very tasty, and I tried some of my friend's beef which was tender and flavourful.

I’ve been here three times so far, and honestly, I keep coming back for the sangria. It’s among the best I’ve had though quite different from others. I think it has cinnamon in it. The potatoes are really good, so whatever you order, make sure you get it with potatoes. It would be nice if they offered them as a side dish. The garlic shrimp has peppers, and the tuna sandwich has olives - both things that are not in the menu descriptions and that I don’t eat and wouldn’t expect to find in those dishes. More detailed descriptions would help a lot. That said, I ordered the tuna sandwich because I saw someone else get a sandwich on a baguette. The baguette was so good, and the olives were easy to pick out. I had asked the waiter which vegetables (it just says vegetables on the menu) come in the sandwich in order to avoid onions, but he didn’t really know the answer and asked someone else and well, the olives just weren’t mentioned. This place is definitely worth trying. The owner smokes inside and doesn’t care if you are coughing because you can’t breathe because of him. Star loss is mostly for that. Please note: Trip Advisor does not allow edits to reviews. Avoid “Taco Bar.” It’s delicious, but you’ll be horrifically sick two hours later. I’ve already safely had two meals here and am waiting for my third. It’s safe to enjoy.

We went there for dinner and then came back for a late breakfast. At dinner we had the tuna tartar and the shrimp breaded in coconut. The day after we tried the calamansi crepes, the french omelette and the shrimp garlic butter. Everything was perfectly prepared and cooked: I personally recommend the shrimp garlic butter. The french owner is a really nice person and we had interesting conversations. They extended the staff and now they are 4, all apparently really efficient and welcoming. I know where to go next time I visit Moalboal!

Stumbled on this little cafe at the quiet end of Panagsama Beach- between Quo Vadis and Love’s Dive Resort. We initially thought the only 2 places worth eating at Panagsama Beach were Last Filling Station (ok food, good serving, ok service) and The Blue Abyss Restaurant (ok food, good serving, abysmal service). Then we discovered Sunrise 2 Set Cafe de Francais! The only place here where food is actually well seasoned. There is none of the pervasive soy sauce seasoning that you find in most of the other Restaurants. The chili shrimps are lip smacking. The chicken is tender and flavorful. The best is the steamed white fish- the firm meat redolent with the flavors of white wine, tomatoes, thyme. The crepes! The crepes! Thin, light and feathery. Not gummy or rubbery like in the other restaurants at Panagsama Beach. The French owner is super nice and the cook/waitress is so efficient despite having to multitask. Suddenly we were no longer even considering Last Filling Station or the Blue Abyss for meals. Wonderful place. If I had 5 thumbs, I would give them all 5 thumbs up! 👍👍👍👍👍

Loved this restaurant. Food was awesome and staff are friendly too. Wish we had known this place the day we arrived. We discovered it accidently on our last day Moalbol. Would highly recommend. We ordered chilli garlic prawn and chilli garlic pasta which was awesome.

We came here based on a recommendation from other guests in our hotel, it was one of the best meals we had in Moalboal! The fresh mussels were amazing and the steamed white fish also incredible! Potatoes were to die for. Prices are very reasonable and represent good value for money. Gilbert is also a great host and very interesting to talk to. It was so good that we went back for breakfast the next day, highly recommended!!

I was here twice as the first time the food was delicious I decided to come back and even the second time it was amazing. I can’t believe they can make a super pasta carbonara ( and i am italian so trust me ;) )! Crepes wit mango and vanilla ice cream was super good. The food is over all delicious and so the service. The owner is a very nice person. Definitely raccomand this place if you like to have a great meal.

We had breakfast here every day during our stay and we loved the petit cafe. It’s very cosy and the staff is nice. The cafe is owned by a french guy and they plays french music. The food is a nice alternative to the Philippine food. I would recommend that you try the crepes!

We had such a great experience that we came back again for dinner the very next evening. Highlights were the Kinilaw Fish and the Shrimp Bruschetta.
