I love the venue for a drink & ebi tempura(shrimp) before dinner downstairs at Tonino's. BUT 320pesos for a very tiny half glass of Cora chardonnay flat & the bottom of the opened bottle at that? 😪😪😪

Love the food and place!
The food was delicious! I recommend ordering Buta bento. The california maki was tasty as well The staff were also attentive, especially Rvi. He was great in assisting us. Do visit umami Room when you’re Dipolog!

Food in the Umami room is okay but we enjoyed listening to their singer/s. They can improve their Japanese menu since the city is abundant with fresh sea food and veggies!

Really disappointing experience, we visited Valentine’s Day and many times last year and we loved it but this time we are so disappointed, I ordered a katsu curry and ebook tempura, my chicken was really dry and the veg undercooked, in the ebi tempura there was veg which was also basically raw. We got a chicken rice dish which was the worst part, the price was just under my katsu curry and they only gave us 4 small pieces of chicken on a massive bed of rice, when we pressed the issue they told us the marinade was expensive but we’re not stupid we are chefs we know how much ingredients are costing. At the end of it all to compensate all they offered us was 10% off one dish. None of this was our servers fault as she was just doing her job but we really expected better food since we were the only people dining at that time (around 4pm). Won’t be back, :(

I went to this restaurant because of the reviews. I guess its not true at all. The food wasn't good. It was very salty. If you are craving for Japanese food, I suggest you forget about it and opt for some Filipino food instead. Never get tricked.

Since we stayed at D’Hotel we might as well check their restobar located at 6th floor. I was so surprised that they offer authentic japanese food here and it taste very good. Prices are reasonable too and the acoustic performer sang really good. Best place to hangout in dipolog.

The staff here are excellent, very attentive and accommodating specially Arvi. The food was wonderful, I loved their sashimi boat and their curry and the beer is to die for! I'm told it's still under D'hotel like Tonino's on the ground floor but the difference in service is very surprising since they are the same establishment. I will certainly keep coming back to dine here.

I had my dinner once here during my stay.. They have good choices for Japanese cuisine.. I ordered Buta Bento which is very good and cost efficient to try a variety.. Their subzero beer is nerve rocking! I love very cold beers! However, during that time I was the only guest there from 7pm-10pm thats why I told the staff to open the videoke for me (even they open it 10pm) and had few songs which I really love in this kind of cozy bar.. They have live band every wednesday and its very relaxing to listen to good music:))

Located at the 6th floor of a luxury hotel in the heart of Dipolog City,
The place is modern and clean.
The waiter "Rvi" did a great job in assisting us with our needs, as a hotelier I could say that he performed restaurant standards.
Best japanese food so far.

My recent visit to dipolog wouldn't be complete without dining at umami room which offers the only Japanese food in town.

Being a sushi lover, I just had to visit this place(conveniently located inside the hotel I was staying in!). As a general rule, I try to eat more of the locally sourced seafood whenever eating in a Japanese restaurant so my favourites were definitely the ika sushi(and sashimi) and uni sushi! Amazingly fresh and delicious! Not a seafood fan? Then go for a subzero beer. I can't believe this is a thing and now that it's summer, I can't believe I don't have one in my hand right now...

For me Umami room is the best Japanese food in DIPOLOG CITY. They have several menus for a good price. The food is always fresh and very tasty. The service is very fast and professional.

whenever i stay at D'Hotel, i always spend quite a lot of time here. in fact, Umami is 1 of the reasons i stay in this hotel in the 1st place. for a japanese-food-lover, this is the place to go. every single dish is fresh (melts-in-you-mouth salmon sashimi) and the presentation is awesome, too! Umami is 1 of the best Japanese restos in the country!
