This restaurant came highly recommended. Our experience Sunday night, September 20th, was horrible. Poor service, they forgot our dinner order, and we waited 90 minutes for our mains. I visited this restaurant with my partner. We received a nice table with full sea view which was nice, however the food could by far not match expectations. In comparison to many Italian restaurants in Monopoli it was completely overpriced for the quality and quantity...offered. Food was (1) wrongly served (and when I asked for the right dish it was double priced), (2) grilled vegetables were served cold and (3) the food quantity was miserable. We went back home and basically got a sandwitch on the street since we were still hungry. A nice sea view in the dark is not worth all this!More

Very beautiful setting with a view on the sea. Our table was in the garden which I recommend more than the terrace. Excellent service, very polite and present staff. Good quality of the food even if not unforgettable. Fair prices. Overall we spent a very...nice night. I would suggest to book a table for the sunset/right after the sunset so that you could enjoy the view even more.More

I went to this restaurant for a romantic dinner with my girlfriend in august. We chose the table on the outside nice garden. Also the indoor space was good. Anyway The atmosphere in the garden was magic and really romantic. The tables were good divided...to each others and there was many privacy. The service was good and the waiters polite. Let’s speak about food. We took raw seafood that was very fresh. Then we chose two first course, I really appreciate the one with vongole cozze and bottarga (the other one with burrata, scampo tartare and pistacchio wasn’t nothing special). Then I took a mixed fried fish which was good. The desserts were also fine. The bill was good value for money considered the food quality and the location. I really recommend it!More

This amazing restaurant is like dining in the ocean but to top it all off the food was just as amazing as the location. The waiters are very helpful and speak English! They recommended a local fish cooked to perfection. We also tried their home...made chocolate deserts and the primo tagliolino alla San Giunnino. It was so good we went back for Dinner the da after!More

It is great to have the opportunity to again review Lidobianco. I gave it 5 stars some years ago and I do so again even though it has improved greatly. This restaurant has long been the place for seafood in Monopoli with people travelling great...distances due to the quality of the food. It was the top place 14 years ago when we first visited Puglia. Over the years it has maintained its reputation but, obviously, was starting to look a little dated. No longer! The place has been transformed in a nice, modern but unobtrusive way. In turn it would appear that the quality of service has also been lifted a few notches. The food remains outstanding and it is nice to see the original owner still working quietly behind the fish counter attending to what makes the place so special - the seafood. Eating as we did in December we did not check out the outside space and see whether changes had been made. Another time, but the views cannot really be spoiled. Finally, don't be misled by some reviews which suggest that the welcome for non Italians is somehow not so good as for "locals". I speak no Italian and was delighted both with the warmth of the welcome and the fact that english is now spoken by several of the front of house staff.More
