Wonderful Luncheon

We happened to stop in at Cesarina 36 for lunch today. We found this lovely establishment through a quick google search and decided to give it a try. What a lovely and memorable afternoon! The husband and wife who own this cozy restaurant are a delight. We enjoyed the attentive service of Piero who helped us select a local wine (Negroamaro) and all of our courses, including his housemade digestif. His charming wife, Maria, cooks everything from scratch to perfection using only the freshest local ingredients. Tutto bene! We will be back! Wishing you every success!

Found this gem of a restaurant by chance and it is definitely one that I will return to very soon. The decor is beautiful, charming and clean. Pietro was the perfect host and his wife Maria cooked delicious food. It’s not often you come across a small family run restaurant where the food is home cooked and fresh and the whole service has a personal touch. Music of the ‘60’s played softly in the background giving a pleasant ambience to the whole place. I can’t praise this restaurant enough, it was perfect. The final touch was a complimentary limoncello, served is a special,way, as was all the food delivered to our table. Book soon, you won’t be disappointed.

Wonderful luncheon

If you are travelling to Grotte di Castellana, don't miss a chance and visit this restaurant. It's managed by family. My husband and I visited it for lunch. Interior was so lovely - all details are thought out carefully. All ordered meals were delicious, we added dessert and were excited with its design. Host was friendly and helpfull. We were extremely happy having chance to visit this local gem.

Travel from far to go!

Very talented lady chef Maria conjures up mouth watering, surprising dishes at lunchtime in this pretty restaurant. Interesting design of interior and of menu. Her husband chose well for us and we were delighted with the traditional dishes of orchiette and lasagnetta as pasta 1st courses and we shared a delicious beef (slow cooked like daube). Dessert was irresistible although we were already so full. We shared a moist cheesecake. Very reasonable prices and friendly service. People should be banging at the door for this culinary experience.

Excellent restaurant, worth a detour!

We stopped at Cesarino 36 for lunch, based on the nice reviews, but everything there (food, wine, service) exceeded our expectations. Not only the typical Puglian orecchiette were delicious, they were perfectly accompanied by a local Susumaniello red wine, suggested by Pietro. Desert was also amazingly tasty and fresh and the homemade myrtle liqueur is sooo good! The atmosphere was great, even on a Thursday at noon, nice decor, good music, impeccable service. Highly recommended! Grazie, Pietro!

Friendly and generous

I got a bit lost when bus dropped me off in Castellana Grotte and the owners were most generous and helpful in driving me back to Conversano. Their lovely restaurant "Cesarino 36" was not open at the time otherwise I would have sat down for dinner which I am sure would have been every bit as exquisite as their generosity. Beautiful restaurant, amazing food, lovely owners

I'm originally from south Italy so my wife and kids came from Finland to visit some places in Puglia together with my parents and are glad to have discovered Cesarino 36 while driving in the area. The restaurant looks great with a beautiful style and the food was truly awesome. My wife and I like to order different dishes so we can share them and taste all of them together. We truly enjoyed everything, and the girls did too. Everything is reasonably priced for the quality you get. On top of that the restaurant owners are a lovely couple and it was nice to hear some of their stories. I highly recommend Cesarino 36 and I will definitely visit again next time I am in the area.

Great restaurant .

Returning from the grotto, a lady recommend Cesarino 36 for lunch. I walked in, spoke to the owner ( pietro), and decided to stay. Lovely cosy Bistro/ Trattoria interior . First course pasta with mushrooms was delicious . As was the second course of skewers of meat. Delicious house red wine . Pietro was a great host, with great service. I met his wife ( the chef ) at the end of the meal.

Best meal in Puglia!

We luckily happened upon Cesarino 36 for lunch. The atmosphere was inviting and the restaurant was small and clean. The food was delicious beyond measure. We chatted with the owner and later his wife, the head chef. They were personable and elevated our experience from great to fabulous! We highly recommend Cesarino 36.

Perfect and anthentic

Perfecto! Nice place, very cosy, well decorated, and delicious. The outside is basic but the inside is perfect. The dishes and the taste of them is really good, great price. It's a very authentic place, the boss will make you a warm welcome, thank for making your best for us. Greetings from Belgium

Great lunch
