Stopped by for fish and chips while we were in Ingleton, and was very pleasantly surprised at both the portion size and the extremely reasonable prices. If only more places were like this! Definitely recommend for those in the area, and we'll be returning when we get the chance. Keep up the good work!

Misunderstanding with my order .. I wanted chicken nuggets, accidentally got fish strips... I am not a fan of fish, usually avoid it and don't eat it.
Decided to give it a go. Very pleasantly surprised, it was very good and tasty. Might be having actual fish and chips from now on!

Good Friday, we were staying in Kirkby Lonsdale. We tried every restaurant and pub but could not get a fish and chip takeaway (MIL was housebound so we needed takeaway and the fish and chip shop was closed). It was suggested we try Ingleton Chippy which was a 15- 20 minute drive away. The fish and chips were still warm when we got home and were excellent. Huge portions, we got extra just in case and ended up feeding 3 other family members! I would definitely recommend Ingleton Chippy.

Every time we house and dog sit for our Grandson we always get fish and chips from Ingleton Chippy.
They've always been great beautiful fish lovely crispy batter and great chips a really good size portion.
On Friday 1st September I called in for fish and chips and a fish which I have to say were very disappointing soggy chips and not the usual portion size the fish inside the batter was beautiful but the batter was thick and stodgy it was crisp on the outside but very thick and stodgy inside.
Frying was by two girls not the usual guy
I will try them again hopefully it was just a bad evening.

Had Fish, Chips and Peas the other night all excellent. Good sized fish, light crispy batter plenty of chips and mushy peas were spot on. Really enjoyed them all !! Excellent Service. Highly Recommended !!

We visited Ingelton for a few days break and to walk the waterfall trail. Beautiful little village with all you need and want. The chippy is run by incredible people who were very chatty and nothing was too much to ask.
The chippy was the best we have had in a long time! The fact they did gluten free options to walk in and order was amazing … and is greatly appreciated as chippy is often something I have to avoid. It was absolutely delicious and our labrador loved the sausage 😊

Excellent fish and chips and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They even remembered our daughter and grandson who had called a few weeks before! The food was very fresh and piping hot and reasonably priced. Great location in the heart of Ingleton village, close to the swimming pool.
Would definitely recommend.

Worst customer service experience. We sat outside at there tables to enjoy our chippy tea. Before we had even chance to eat a chip there was a torrent of ‘water’ coming from above showering me my partner and the table to the side of us. I didn’t realise what was happening until guy at the table next us shot up from his seat shouting ‘that’s that massive dog, pissing’
The dog belonged to the chippy and was doing its business on the balcony above the chippy. When we when back inside to complain the manager shrugged his shoulders said it’s beyond his control so not his fault. Appalling customer service.

When rain hit whilst visiting Ingleton, the smell of chips drifted toward us. The chippy was reassuringly busy and we were not left dissapointed, the chips and fish were fresh and delicious. Such a brilliant end to the day.

We dropped by here for lunch after doing the waterfall walk. Such a very friendly welcome from the team, and absolutely excellent cod and chips fried to order. Crisp and light batter, nice big portion of chips, good selection of canned drinks. We sat outside on the little terrace area and enjoyed.
Note they have a separate frier for gluten free batter, and although we didn't have the gluten free fish that felt like a really nice touch. Also the cardboard packaging was great, rather than polystyrene.
Would totally recommend this place. Will return.

We visited this fish and chip shop after completing the Ingleton water fall walk. The fish and chips were fantastic , lovely light crispy batter and the chips were great too, portion size were also good.
Best of all they catered for my daughter who is gluten free she had sausage in batter with chips, she said they were one of the best she has had thank you would highly recommend.

Genuinely the best chippy we've ever had! We went with battered sausage and chips and fish and chips. Chips were belting and the batter, oh my god, so crispy and not a bit of grease in sight! Loved the little touches like them lifting the fish up to make sure the chips had their fair share of salt and vinegar. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. Shame we live 40 miles away or we'd be here all the time! Made sure to recommend it to the owner of the accomodation we were in as he'd said it wasn't great under the old owners. He said he'd be sure to add it to his list of recommended places to eat for others staying at his place.

This chippy is so much better now that the new owners have taken over. I’ve just had a spam fritter and chips and I really enjoyed it. The fritter batter was light and the chips were chunky and tasty. Also I’ve noticed the chippy’s opening hours are different too, they are open more often and for longer than under the previous owners.

We go walking very frequently but it was the first time it was open in a long time so we decided to have lunch there . The fish was very good ( the batter is not the really the best as it is a bit thick and greasy ) However the flavour is lovely and good mushy peas and a great cup of tea too . Friendly service and reasonably priced considering the location . Would go again !!

Visited Ingleton last week, went on the waterfall trail that took 2.5hrs to walk around. After a really long walk, we were so happy to see a chippy at the end of the trail. We were greeted in the chippy by lovely owners, had great fish and chips with curry sauce, absolutely delicious. Definitely recommended. Lovely service from really lovely people.
