The restaurant at Astra is not just a fine dining destination, it is a feast for each of the senses. The unfettered view of the caldera from the restaurant’s vantage point is a visual treat, the exquisite plating is sheer poetry as are the vivid hues of Santorini’s famed sunsets. The happy chatter of your fellow guests, the tinkling of wine glasses to toast life and the sizzling on your plate is a celebration of Santorini’s own playlist of joyous sounds. The heady summer scents of jasmine, the whiffs of wild rosemary from Imerovigli’s slopes, the aromas wafting from a simple, refined Mediterranean dish, all designed to elevate your sensory experience. Feel the different textures played out on your plate as in the beauty around you. Crisp white wines accentuate the succulence of sun-kissed tomatoes, the briny freshness of sea urchins, creamy fava and seared fish. The sun, sea and soil in Santorini collude to create wines and produce so distinct, your palate will be tickled by its sophisticated simplicity. 5 Senses draws from the island’s rich culinary tradition and gives it a refined touch to create the magic lifelong memories are made of.

What about... wow. One of the best views of Imerovigli to watch the sunset, sitting back and enjoying good food and an initial drink. It was one of the best experiences of staying on the island. Very high price, but inevitably the context justifies the requests. The food in any case, with the tasting menu, was extensive and satisfying. The only flaw is perhaps a bit 'the predisposition of the staff to quickly bring one dish after another. Little tip: just tell them and they will be ready to satisfy your requests. Small detail: the restaurant is not easily identifiable on your arrival, be careful to look for it calmly.

After spending 7 days on the island, I can honestly say there is nothing else quite like five senses. We pre booked our front row table and were served the €130 degustation menu. 5 courses of truly exquisite foods including seafood dishes, wagyu steak, salad and dessert. Each course was explained in depth by our lovely waitress. My partner had a couple glasses of Santorini wine and I had 2 cocktails. (zombie and caramel espresso) Our waitress also gifted us two glasses of champagne for our anniversary which was a lovely surprise! The view of the caldera is mesmerizing at sunset. If you are a foodie and enjoy fine dining experiences with maximum flavor then this place is the place to visit.

Five senses was close to our hotel and after reading the reviews we decided to make a reservation. The 5 star reviews were spot on. If you are looking for fine dining with views that will take your breath away…..then I recommend you try this restaurant. The staff was most delightful (ESPECIALLY VICTOR) who took the time to help & educate us with wine/dinner choices. Our entire experience was amazing!

Be careful if you have celiac disease! While they do label foods as "gluten free", this is not true for celiacs. Those foods still might contain barley. While we had a very false sense of security from the staff, my husband became violently ill for several hours after eating there. Our experience in the Greek islands after this unfortunate meal, is that the Greek understand the wheat part of gluten free, but not the barley and rye. Barley and rye are grains that have a long history in the Greek culture, so be careful everywhere, but know that my celiac got very sick eating foods labeled "gluten free" in this restaurant. And it was a very expensive lunchl: 97 Euros for 2)

This was a birthday meal to remember. From the welcome to dessert, everything was incredible. The staff really go out of their way to make the evening one to remember. And then there’s the views, just pure magic. The waiter took lots of time to talk us through the wines on offer, the menu options and also introduced both himself and the other staff in case we needed anything throughout the night. Unlike what you can find in restaurants back in London, we didn’t feel pressured to be quick and leave so they could get more people in. They took their time between each dish and let us savour the huge amount of flavours being served. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

On Sept 11 I visited Five Senses in Imerovigli, Santorini. I ordered the smoked and grilled calamari which featured a dramatic presentation and a multitude of savoury flavours from the sea. My server seemed disinterested and simply put the plate in front of me and walked away without introducing this beautiful plate. It was the first time in several years dining at Santorini’s finest restaurants that the server didn’t provide a commentary of the plate. I had to ask for it. Every plate tells a story (from the chef) and with the storytelling from the server, it can elevate the plate and create excitement about the chef’s offering. My main was the homemade truffle tagliatelle featuring shavings of truffle. Unfortunately the shavings had very little flavour, but the rest of the plate didn’t disappoint. perfectly al dente, the pasta was wonderfully warm and paired with succulent langoustine tails and a nuanced clam broth. When I visited the washroom I was disappointed there were no towels to dry my hands. I approached the Manager or assistant manager and told him there were no towels. He acknowledged my comment but did nothing. A second visit to the washroom an hour later confirmed his disinterest - still no towels. The most egregious service happened at the end of my meal. With only a few patrons present, and at the end of my meal, the server didn’t come to ask if I would like anything else for 45 minutes. That’s only after I asked to have my bill. The server then stood next to me looking over my shoulder at what tip they would receive. Sadly, the creative and outstanding plates from the kitchen fade from the mind as the dreadful service dominated the evening. Five Senses Chef and kitchen team deserve better from their serving crew.

The Five Senses restaurant is a great option for fine dining with a phenomenal view that isn’t going to completely break the bank. Main courses range in price from the €26 to €50ish. The mains wines are a little more expensive and is only served by the bottle. The cheapest I saw was €35. They have dessert wine by the glass with the cheapest being €10. Nevertheless, the food was phenomenal and definitely justified the price. I got the risotto, my wife got the steak, and we shared a ravioli appetizer. We savored every bite. The cherry on top was the sunset. We booked a reservation for the 7:00-9:00 sitting and were able to have a perfect view of the sunset. It’s well worth it! Lastly, do make a reservation! Several couples showed up without a reservation and couldn’t dine in.

We opted for The Five Senses restaurant for our sunset dining. It’s one of the few fine dining places in the area and perfectly located for our experience. NOTE, although it was only 5 mins walk according to google for our resort, there are no path signs and you can easily get lost, so leave plenty of time to get there. We opted for a table on what they call the front row. This offers spectacular undisrupted views of reg Caldera and sunset. To secure one of these 5 tables, you must dine from their degustation (tasting menu) @ €130 per head. We didn’t find issue with that as we like what was available. The food was good but in our opinion, not good enough to justify the price tag. Some of the flavours didn’t work, some of the dishes were over powered but one or two flavours. What we do take issue with, is we weren’t asked if we had any food allergies. This is a serious oversight and mentioned it to our waiting staff. Luckily we don’t, but many do and can be dangerous. Hence why we are knocking a star off our review. They have a good selection of wines and some locally inspired cocktails. We strongly recommend the Summer Colada. The evening ended with a firework display, a pleasant,l surprised, thou we doubt it’s a one off. Overall, we rate this between 3.5-4 stars as you are mainly paying for the sunset views. Finally, the staff were amazing , well informed and always on hand to help., bar that one major oversight.

Great find and unexpected in santorini. Really impressed with the food which was amazing. Good choice of menu. Knowledgeable and friendly staff who advised us about pairing courses. My husband who is a meat eater was very impressed with the purple roll (also with his starter). Lovely rooftop location with good views. All round enjoyable evening. Would highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely return.

Amazing in every way -- the menu, the sunset views, and friendly service. If not staying at the hotel it's worth the trip. Our suggestion is to come hungry and order anything the waiter suggests. These will be our favorite dinners from two weeks in Greece. Yammas! ; )

Five senses delivered a fantastic experience. Whilst traveling abroad, I contacted the restaurant team to organise a surprise birthday dinner for my girlfriend visiting Santorini with her friend. The team were a pleasure to deal with online, and delivered an exceptional evening of dining for to the two of them, the degustation menu was 'divine'. Location and view is second to none for a special sunset and meal. Look forward to returning to the island and enjoying another meal here. Thanks again!

Simply a wonderful restaurant in every respect. Creative and interesting food with fresh ingredients, interesting menu, and excellent wine list. Orzo with scorpionfish was amazing, as were most of the other entrees. The staff is friendly but highly professional. And the view is simply spectacular -- the patio overlooks the caldera and the sunset is much better than in Oia. We stayed at Astra Suites for 6 nights, so we dined here twice and the experience was wonderful both times. Be sure to book a reservation around a half hour before sunset -- if you go earlier, you will fry.

My partner and i had already spent an exhausting but exhilirating few days hiking and cruising around Santorini and were looking for a decent vegan restaurant to chill and indulge ourselves as a reward for our effort. We couldnt have asked for a better place with an impressive menu(we are pleasantly surprised by the easy availability of vegan food in Greece) to wind down and just enjoy a quiet night with excellent food. My partner had a cabonara and i had a portobello mushroom "steak" and we washed it all down with a decadent strawberry cheesecake. Althougb it was a little pricey, we felt it was money well spent for the excellent food and service/atmosphere

While staying at the Astra Suites, it was an obvious choice to try their restaurant during our stay. We're so glad we went at the beginning of our visit because it was so good we decided to return for our final night. Every dish we ordered was not only delicious, but beautifully and creatively presented. We loved the cocktails - particularly the popcorn garnished one that my husband ordered - genius! The staff was gracious and helpful without being overbearing and the views were the icing on the cake. There are a number of outstanding restaurants in Imerovigli, but for a really special evening, head to Five Senses - you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful and delicious dinner experience at Five Senses restaurant located in Imerovigli. Excellent service from Jay with a romantic view. They were able to accommodate a reservation time change and when it got a little chilly brought us blankets. The atmosphere is amazing with several lanterns hanging. On the expensive side but worth it. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in this area.
