went there twice....once for drinks and next night for dinner. food was decent but really try to RIP you off. we got the guac and chips and after running out of chips they charged $3 for additional chips. they charge $5 per bottle of water...that they purify themselves. the kicker was the Titos at $15 and the soda water for another $4. yes $19 for 1 drink. the manger told me that if I didnt like it, i should write a review on TripAdvisor. left and went to 4 seasons and they only charged $11. with all the fees for service and tip...its more than 70% an already expensive competitorMore

We really liked the atmosphere of this little water front spot. Nachos were amazing, margaritas delicious and refreshing. Stick with the local fare, as the pizza was just meh.. but the tacos, guac and chips ....mmm sooo good! Would come back for sure!

Went past here on a guided walk so decided to return. Lovely evening walk in the sunset down from Andaz (there is a free shuttle both ways). Limited selection of food, but what we had was excellent. Asparagus worthy of special mention. Washed down with...good Sangria cheaper than the hotel. A good alternative to the hotel restaurant.More

Wandered over from the Andaz one afternoon to get some exercise and a better look at the 82 meters Venus superyacht built for Steve Jobs On the way over we bumped into a couple who recommended we stop by The Dive Bar so we did....It turned out to be a very good recommendation. My spouse and I shared their paella for two, Nice size for two, made with the traditional Bomba rice and a good variety of fish and seafood for US$26, Good value for money. The service was very friendly and I had a nice chat with the manager.More

We walked over from the Andaz for dinner. Had the fish tacos, which are delicious. Freshly caught, grilled fish in soft tortillas. The drinks are good and served in hipster style containers. We watched the fishing charters come in and the sun drop over the...peninsula. It’s an easy walk, but they did offer us a shuttle back if we had wished. The service was good and although not cheap, it was cheaper than the hotel restaurants for sure.More

Love this place. Short walk from Andaz resort. Good food, and can’t beat the ambiance. Strongly recommend if staying on Papagayo Peninsula!

The Dive Bar was a great place to have dinner in a less fancy atmosphere. The food was good, the setting was pretty great. The marina is neat, with many boats in port.

A delightful pub at the Marina. Enjoyed a lot. Mahi-Mahi fish and chip special was very tasty. Nachos were huge portion and a great shareable. A little pricey but this is not a cheap area of costa rica with 200 ft yachts in the harbor...and the food mart selling coke for $3-4 per can. Recommended for a nice causal meal.More

Atmosphere was blah, food was okay, prices were not really any different than the hotel. I was hoping for something more exciting from the andaz but this was sleeper city....so we shuttled to the four seasons tonight!!!!! Wayyyyy better. I read they previously had happy...hour, and people at the andaz thought they still did....and if so, it MIGHT have been worth itMore

I wish I knew. I would contact my hotel the Andaz and ask them. They should know there was a shuttle from the hotel to the Dive Bar

They no longer have a Happy Hour and you do save a few bucks, it's worth a visit but I did not think there was that much savings. The good thing is the shuttle bus takes you there and they call when you are finished so... More
