We had dinner here several times and lunch on one occasion. Service is excellent but relaxed. The highlight on several occasions was the cerviche. Simple but elegant. The tuna was freshly caught one evening and also excellent.
Had the chance to revisit this restaurant during our latest stay in Costa Rico. We were seated on the pool deck, which is a lovely place to dine. The service and drinks were spot on. Everyone ordered something different and all loved their food. My...sea bass filet was grilled to perfection and the side dishes were also very good. Everyone was most pleased with their dinners. Having eaten here before, the food seems better when the head chef is present as he was on this visit. Definitely on our short list of restaurants in Costa Rica.More
I went here with a group of colleagues on a work trip. It was barbecue night. The music was too loud to talk and the barbecue sent smoke everywhere. So while the scene could have been pretty, it was lost in noise and smell. The...food was also mediocre at best and very expensive. My colleague did say the Ceviche was great and the salads looked good. Overall, there are better places to eat in this area. They are all expensive but at least the others show some creativity in their food. I would not recommend this restaurant.More
I'm sorry to have to write a poor review because I love Costa Rica and this area very much. Love the people. We were Very disappointed. We read the reviews and we thought this would be a great or at least very good dinner but...it was neither. It was way overpriced! The portions were very small. An appetizer of three very small raviolis was $24. The food did not have good flavor. The red snapper was tasteless, the seafood saffron risotto was similar. The ribs were smothered in barbecue sauce but was the only dish I could at least eat. 3 ribs $30. The desserts were ok, and super small! The entire bill with only 2 appetizers, 2 cocktails, 1 wine, 3 dinners, and two desserts was close to $300. Truly not worth it at all! The only good thing was the service and the 3 small pieces of bread at the beginning that were warm. Even the ambience was not very good. Oh and there was a family of raccoons right near by looking for scraps....plenty of other places I liked better.More
This place is absolutely amazing! Christopher the bartender is very professional and friendly, we stop by almost everyday for a drink at the bar!!!! Also maribel the server is very kind and friendly make our experience delightful!!! Thank you for the a great time!!!
We visited Poro Poro for dinner one evening while staying at the Four Seasons. It was really convenient as the hotel will make your reso and provide transport to and from (very close).
The menu had a good variety with a kids menu to choose...from as well. There is also a “kids lounge” right beside the dining area where they provide games, toys and tv to entertain littles while you dine.
We were very pleased with the food and thought it was one of the best meals we had while on the Peninsula. It is similar pricing to the restaurants at the Four Seasons but as good if not better quality!
It was very quiet though, only one other table while we were there ... this resulted in very attentive staff but not much for atmosphere. We did have an early dinner so perhaps it gets more lively later in the evening.
Worth trying if staying in the area and looking for some variety.More
Being a golf cart ride away,(or the shuttle if you are staying at Four seasons or Andaz) this restaurant is very convenient. There is a wide variety of different choices so everyone in the family can find something delicious to eat.
The restaurant has an...open air dining room and a lower eating area next to the pool, and is attached to the Beach club, and gym.
There is a full bar, the food is excellent quality and the service outstanding.More
Nice restaurant, sitting at the poolside with lights shining on to the trees from a jungle part. Extremely friendly and professional staf, advising us the best of foods and drinks and serving it with a broad smile, doing their best speaking English. Menu card and...wine card are sufficient for everybody's tast. Dessert is a surprise bomb and will surprise you.More
This was a very typical resort meal - I thought the food was unexceptional, thought the service is good. If you're staying at he Exclusive it's a fine place to grab a bite but it's certainly not worth a special trip.
