Great Experience

I have dined at 5 Sensi restaurant 3 times since its opening and each time ordered different selections. Every selection was presented beautifully and expressed the chef’s passion for seafood and a pleasure for the tastebuds The expertly chosen wine selection of fine Italian/French wines will enhance each dish. Menus and wine lists in both Italian and English are available. Service is as outstanding as the food with server’s knowledge of each dish was truly exceptional and willing to assist in any way.

Chic and delicious

We were delighted to discover 5 Sensi on our brief visit to the Valle d’Itria. We have not had a disappointing meal during a well in Puglia, and have enjoyed local specialties as well as seafood along the coast. Here we found more than a touch of “Alta qualità “ - food prepared to perfection, gracious and excellent service and a chic atmosphere that sets the restaurant apart. Portions were very generous. We both enjoyed an appetizer of baccalà with cicoria- this was very good tho seemed more like an entree than an appetizer. The fritto misto was exceptionally light and delicious and the orata, grilled to perfection. Highly recommend for an evening with an elegant touch and creative approach to fresh local ingredients, along with gracious hospitality.

A must visit for those who love seafood! 🦞

Found this amazing restaurant and I'm still thinking about how delicious the entire meal was. We splashed out as we were on holidays and went for the lobster. The lobster was presented to us at the table still alive so we knew this dish was going to be fresh. We had really high expectations and the chef exceeded these. The seafood here was absolutely amazing!

A Tourist Trap

This was the worst restaurant that we visited during our tour of Puglia. In short, the best thing about this place is Vlad. Their teenage, polyglot waiter. A charming, hard-working young lad who surely has a bright future ahead, although not working at this restaurant. The only good dish presented to us was a staple Pugliese local bean puree and vegetables with lovely oil (can't go wrong with olive oil in Puglia though) although my Pugliese partner told me that it wasn't made with the right type of beans! Still, the rest of the meal was a huge disappointment, in fact, a disaster. Our "freshly made pasta and gnocchi" dishes were not freshly made quite the opposite, do bear in mind that we spoke to the owner before we sat down, and he reassured us that all pasta and gnocchi were freshly made on prem. However, when the food arrived, the gnocchi was clearly not freshly made, but machine made. I've no doubt that you can have a similar experience from a Lidl gnocchi bag. The green pasta with squid and broccoli was just a gloopy, stodgy experience with unforgivably overcooked pasta and squid. Why would you overcook the squid and make it chewy? Italian cuisine is about emulsifying sources, not gloopy, stodgy dishes resembling Play-Doh, and this is what my green gloopy pasta was, Play-Doh. At this point, we decided to cut our losses and go to a real Pugliese restaurant for the main dishes. Oh, and be aware this place is very expensive. Most dishes start from c Eu 20/25. Though it advertises itself as fine dining, the only fine thing about it is, again, Vlad, because there are plenty of real Pugliese restaurants in Martina Franca and for a fraction of the price. I'd give this restaurant a very wide berth if I were you.

Amazing experience!!

I travelled to Italy quite recently with my family and we came across 5 Sensi Restaurant and we decided to try it for dinner. If you’re one for seafood this should be top of your list of restaurants to try. The food was sensational and beautiful. The pasta was truly exquisite and you could tell everything was made fresh. The customer service was beyond incredible, the staff were extremely helpful and kind and asked us again and again if our food was okay. You could tell they really cared. The atmosphere, food and customer service was all 5 stars and I would definitely recommend to anyone who’s close by to visit.

Tasty lunch option for day trip to Martina.

The food really tasted amazing here. We were spoilt for choice with all the fish options. We stopped for lunch on a quick day trip to Martina Franca and wish we could have ordered everything on the menu. Seafood linguine and the calamari were some of our favourites. It's definitely a treat to go here, but worth a visit for sure.

Some of the best seafood I've ever tasted

Came across this restaurant on a recent visit to Puglia. It initially caught our attention as the design of the restaurant looked really premium. There were so many fish options to choose from and they didn't disappoint. We got the tuna, mixed fried seafood, bacala and a plate of crudo del mare. I don't think I've ever had prawns that tasted like that before. We had a lot of fish during our trip to Puglia but this restaurant really stood out for us. We choose delicious bottles of sparkling rose to accompany all the food and we couldn't have been happier.

5 sensei restaurant!! 😍

5 sensei is in the old town of Martina Franca which is very popular for its meat dishes, so it was nice to have something so different as a mediterranean dish in such an elegant and unique restaurant. The service was perfect and the food was even better. Don't walk, run to 5 sensei restaurant.

Prime spot for freshest seafood

Not overly large, although a nice terrace at the back. Sophisticated decor; complete style. Freshest fish choices - we started with sashmi king red prawns (from Sicily), with a splash of fig bas d balsamic sauce. Linguine calamari, and the swordfish involtini just divine. Warm and no fuss service. Impressive wine list. Restaurant nicely placed in the Old town centre. Recommended.

A new smart restaurant for the town

I visited this new restaurant for lunch recently and loved the decor and service. The manager showed me the outside terrace which was a nice touch. That will be lovely in the summer! Fresh seafood which you can pick off the counter and a good sized menu of a la carte dishes. For a celebratory meal I would rather go here than anywhere else in Martina. I might suggest slightly better air extraction perhaps as when you go in there was an immediate smell of fish. It is a fish restaurant after all but I felt it wasn't the most welcoming smell! The pudding was great but from Adua down the road and so a shame it wasn't their own. It's expensive. London expensive, but I have to admit that I would happily go again.

Amazing new restaurant - 100% worth a visit

Visited recently with some friends when we were in Martina Franca and I couldn't recommend it enough. My favourite things we got were the carpaccio and tartare but everything was so fresh and tasty. The staff recommended some delicious local wine to go with our food. One of the best meals I had on my trip to Puglia.

Wonderful Surprise in Martina Franca.

Exceptional Midweek Lunch! A grey mid January day and we happened upon this sweet little place in the center of Martina Franca. A warm welcome, beautiful decor, delicious food and great local wine. We are relocating to Puglia so will certainly enjoy many more meals here. Highly recommended for a memorable vacation stop as well.

Great seafood restaurant.

Excellent seafood pasta! I had the seafood carpaccio with orange, followed by prawn linguine. Fantastic! The wine was very good and the service superb, very attentive and helpful. Perfetto!

Great ambience and food!

Visited here with some friends and had such a lovely time. The risotto was some of the best I’ve had, and I was really impressed by the wine list. Will definitely be back on my next trip!
