we had a good breakfast here. The food was awesome. I could say cheap but wonderful. We ordered beefsteak, humba, porkchops and velvet cake and halohalo. Try having breakfast here you will like it.

Fresh sliced fruit, carrot juice. Healthy options. And requested no msg. Right on the waterfront. Couldn't be more pleased to find this place. Also super reasonable prices

For me, the Halo-Halo with ube ice cream is the best in Dumaguete and my personal farovite! We love to come to Filomena also for the delicious shakes, the burger and the siopao. Hopefully the Filomena will remain the way it is. A nice mix of locals and foreigners enjoying the Filipino cuisine. A nicely cooled room with very friendly service, free cold water, cheap prices and a nice view over the Dumaguete boulevard.

I like fresh fruit salad for breakfast. There is only one place in Dumaguete City that serves this, to my knowledge--Cafe Filomena. I can eat my salad while enjoying the view of the sea.

This restaurant offers a wide variety of foods, that you don't need to go out downtown just to eat. The foods are delicious too. It also has a free wifi.

My friends and I just loved the halo halo special in this place. It is also a large portion so you can share it with friends. Must try!

Breakfast offerings are standard Filipino (tapa, corned beef, fish, etc) and continental. Got stuck in the hotel at dinner time and most prepared food was gone by 730pm on a weekday night. Ordered ala carte: steamed fish and "bird's nest" soup with crab. Actually good.

This is the canteen inside bethel guest house located at the ground floor. They serve bf, lunch and dinner and open until 9:30pm. Good food variety, affordable and big servings!

This cafeteria is in our hotel. Since they dont offer free breakfast we eat here in the morning. Food tastes ok. The usual tapa, tocino, longanisa and egg. They also have bangus, danggit and others. We also tried their snacks, siopao n siomai and lumpia. All are ok and at very affordable price.

Every December, my friends and I stay at Bethel Guest House and would always eat at Cafe Filomena for the affordable breakfast meals and wonderful view of the boulevard. However, this year's experience at the cafe was very disappointing. Although our food was still good, we couldn't believe that the brewed coffee we used to love could turn out to be so bad - it was like hot water with a hint of coffee. Even instant coffee was better than what they were brewing. We don't know if their machine was broken or if they were running out of coffee grounds but I do hope they fix this.

This is not a fine dining restaurant. What this place is, is that homey reliable place you go to for that home cooked fare. The place is spotless. Price point is very good and servings are generous. Taste, like I mentioned brings back that homey comfort food feeling when at home. Foreigners do not know what theyre talking about. This is a cafeteria type, self service turo turo place at the ground level of a hotel. But the staff are welcoming, nice and helpful if you need anything. Will definitely visit every chance I will be in Dumaguete

reasonable price, good ambiance, good food....but the proximity of the tables to the counter is not good, especially whe someone bumped your chair, and would look at you, as it seemed it was your fault!

Cafe Filomena in Bethel guest house / hotel is a familiar lunch venue whenever we're in Dumaguete. It's clean with varied Pinoy food (has halo halo, too) and very inexpensive. There's also lots of take home pasalubong like local candies, siopao and more. And the view is great, the boulevard and the bay. Will recommend this place.

For convenience' sake, we chose to have breakfast at Cafe Filomena. Just downstairs from our rooms at the Bethel Guest house, it offered a variety of breakfast fare to choose from in a cafeteria-like setting. The 'silog' meals at P90 are alright, but the Boneless Danggit wasn't as crispy as it should be. The fruit plates and sweet kakanin are a good addition to one's meal. If you're not expecting too much and just want a hearty breakfast to start the day, then this cafe fits the bill.

nothing too surprising or impressive, but a nice selection of different foods, and nothing is too expensive. Cafeteria type of place, grab your tray and tell them what you want (or grab what is available to grab). I had beef with cashews, very good.
