I got their regular and assorted silvanas and their sans rival to bring home and for pasalubongs. The silvanas and san rival are good, enough crunch and body but not very heavy. Quite pleasant to eat. Their san rival is not the best I've tasted...but for the price, it is very good.More
Sans Rivals should have just stick to what they are known best, pastries. Them stepping into the real food business is ruining their name. I wont be surprise if someone would have told me that there arent any real chefs there besides the pastry chefs...because the baby back ribs my partner got tasted like the frozen kind of foods you get straight from a supermarket. I could have done a better job. To make things worst, it was served barely warm. My pasta was not a bad but it was not tasty. I dont think there will be a next time for us. There a plenty of other restaurants to explore that are more deserving of the priceMore
This is the main and original branch selling the famous sans rival and silvanas . Lines tend to get long. Meticulously prepared, they have boxes with insulation to prevent the pastries from melting away. The fact is , they have several branches in Manila ,...but nothing beats the experience of bringing them home from where it really originates.More
Dumaguete trip is not complete without trying their incomparable Sans Rival.. A must try for everyone.
We ordered 20 pcs of assorted Sans Rival. Packaged in a box for P100.00 and packed neatly for handcarry luggage. The store has an organized line and turnover time is quick. They open early around 730am and the Sans Rival Bistro opens 10am
Pleasantly surprised at the quality of their meals, considering they're known mainly as a patisserie. Their beef salpicao is well-seasoned, and the Green Goddess Chicken Skewers had a unique, spicy flavor.
I've always wanted to try their sans rival cake and when I finally got it. The pastries are so lovely. It is affordable and you won't regret buying it because it's tasty and family size.
When your un Dumaguete - you should always at least have a meal at Boulevard / main branch of Sans Rival. Loved the old house turned into a restaurant. Food was average. Service was good.
Hello can I get the contact no. And email of sansrival cakes and pastries plz...I'm very interested to buy a lot..
This place is famous in Dumaguette, for good reason. After spending time in Manila enjoying overpriced low quality food, coming to Dumaguette is akin to going to a different country, yes I have been to Cebu, yes I have been to Davao, yes I have...gone to regional and remote places in the Philippines, and nothing comes close to what I experienced in Dumaguette. Imagine the highest quality food, the friendliest service, the nicest people, and the cheapest prices of anywhere I have visited here. I don’t know how this is possible, if there’s something magical in the water, if the Mayor is a genius or what is causing this, but Dumaguette is very different. When I came to Sans Rival I of course proceeded to order a Sans Rival cake, coming from Manila I saw a loaf of this was only about $10 so I proceed to order a whole loaf imagining a small cake. What came through was really a huge loaf similar to a whole loaf of bread that was impossible for just 2 people to consume regardless of how hungry they may be, not only that but it was also delicious. Silvanas, which are absolutely amazing are just about $5 for a box, the coffee was less than 75 cents! Keep in mind these cakes are so good they are sent as gifts to the rest of the Philippines, and they are so very affordable. If you come to Dumaguette, you owe yourself a trip to Sans Rival.More
The place is quite small and very busy! Most are usually there for their cakes and pastries to take out. They also served snacks, sandwiches and other warm food. Aside from the seats inside the store, they also got some on the terrace outside. Of...course, we tried their Sylvanas (also available per piece) and Sans Rival (also available per slice). It's a must when in Dumaguete. Perfect with coffee. Other food on the menu are also nice.More
I went there with my friend . im a meatlover but my friend is a vegan. We went there only because here in tripadvisor they mentioned they have vegan foods also. Well, im no vegan and i had lots of options but she was left...with no food. The claim of restaurant here is totally false which made our visit bitter since my friend was left with only one choice of salad only (it actually had meat in it. We asked the waiter to not put meat in salad). Hey vegan food doesnt mean a boring salad. There is a lot more to it so if you are not offering it, update your description here.More

Delicious food. Ridiculously cheap for its quality. Clean, cozy restaurant. Good location. The service fast, friendly and polite. Everything is awesome. The Silvanas was one of the most delicious cake I had.
