The food here is excellent and I am actually even more amazed by this after seeing how remote the island is once getting there. The coconut shrimp tacos are soooo delicious, I had them 3x during my 4 day stay here and honestly everything else...was just as tasty. The service is excellent as well. If you are on the island eating here is a must!More

Extensive breakfast menu with daily specials such as eggs benedict, burritos, seafood omelette, etc, all cooked to a very high standard. The homemade Cinnabon toast was delicious, just like cinnamon donuts. The fruit cups were also really good, with watermelon, pineapple, bananas and fresh coconut....I can’t wait until they open for dinner again, but at the moment, due to COVID the restaurant is closed after 3pm. However, the lunch menu is very good, with food cooked to order. Highly recommended.More

Restaurant offers authentic Nicaragua food but also western style, in very high quality for a really fair price. They also bake homemade cookies and brownies which just awesome.

The food here is delish. Even though the restaurant would seem to cater to guests at the attached Little Corn Beach and Bungalow, people come from the other side of the island just to eat and chill here. If you happen to be staying somewhere...else, swing by for breakfast after dawn. The walk on the beach getting here is worthwhile of itself, and the food and staff at the Turned Turtle will start your day off right. Lunch is good too.More

Our group (wife/me plus another couple and their 2 kids) stayed at Little Corn Beach & Bungalow in late December. While the island is gradually beginning to reopen due to the pandemic, there were a few options available for dining out. Having the Turned Turtle...bar and restaurant right on site was a major plus, but even had we stayed elsewhere we certainly would have eaten here numerous times. It's simply the best option on the island for great quality food (and super cold beers if that's of interest). There's a $2.50 self-serve coffee and tea bar daily, and while non-hotel guests are limited to 4 cups if you're a LCB&B guest your cup is bottomless. The coffee was good quality and the pots were kept fresh and full. Breakfasts included many items featuring coconut (when in Rome, right?) such as several types of coconut pancakes - huge, btw - banana, chocolate chip, pecan, etc. Also, coconut bread French toast was a hit. We had breakfast sliders several times as well as the Turned Turtle's take on the ubiquitous Nica breakfast classic of eggs, gallo pinto (rice and red beans), sausage/bacon, and plantains. Our days were started off with full stomachs each day we had breakfast at the Turned Turtle. While the restaurant was not open for dinners at present (a conscious decision on ownership's part to help encourage visits to other restaurants on the island, a sort of "we're all in this together and we'll all get through this together" mindset - something that says a lot about the operation and its owners), we did enjoy a few lunches, including ribs, cheeseburger sliders on coconut bread buns (Mmmm), and the fabulous breakfasts are also available for lunches. While the quality of the food would be admirable for a restaurant operating anywhere, it's especially noteworthy when you consider the remote location of Little Corn Island and all that entails in the way of sourcing ingredients. They make a special effort to use as much locally sourced products as possible, and the talent in the kitchen works wonders with them. The serving staff is engaging, attentive, and extremely good at their jobs. The level of service is on par with the quality of the food served...both are top-notch. It should be noted that the staff in the restaurant were constantly wearing face masks and cleaning surfaces as soon as they were unoccupied. All in all, there is no disputing the status of the Turned Turtle as the top eatery on Little Corn Island.More

On a recent trip to Little Corn Island, my husband and I stayed at Little Corn Beach and Bungalow. Having the restaurant on-site is super convenient as many options for breakfast are currently not available due to closures related to the pandemic and downtick of...tourism to the island. Not only is the restaurant convenient, it's hands down delicious; making it a first choice, even if all restaurant options on the island were available. Incredible breakfasts-ranging from coconut bread french toast, coconut pecan pancakes as big as your head, and breakfast sandwich sliders were very reasonably priced, prepared with fresh ingredients, prepared quickly and were mouth-wateringly delicious. Lunch options included some all day breakfast items (YES!) as well as pulled pork and hamburger sliders, BBQ pork ribs also very reasonably priced as well as quickly prepared. Dinner was not an option during our stay, and we likely would have dined for that as well had it been. Lastly, beer was served promptly and SUPER cold!! The restaurant staff were friendly, engaging, timely and made an effort to know your name. It really doesn't get any better than what is being offered here. Well done!More

We ate three breakfasts and two lunches here during our stay on Little Corn. If it had been open for dinner, we would've eaten dinner there, too! Service was great, and food was prepared SO quickly, even for our large group (which makes kids happy!)....Loved the use of local ingredients, like toasted coconut cookies and coconut bread french toast. Great coffee--worth the $2.50 for the bottomless cup! Everything we ate we enjoyed; I can't imagine the logistics of running such a great eatery in such a remote, incredible location.More

By far, the Turned Turtle restaurant at Beach and Bungalow has the best food on the island. Their staff are amazing and accommodating.

Best breakfast on the island and in our trip ! Congrats to the chief for the cinnamon toast. Very kind team. Always cool to eat breakfast and then jump in the water just in front of the restaurant.

The food and service was excellent. The restaurant is located right off the beach. We sat in the covered area of the restaurant. We had a traditional Nica breakfast with coffee and Fresca. The cinnamon rolls are to die for!
