The menu is concise and the seating limited. But, if you time it right, a light meal with libations is enjoyable here. We had a fine experience. But the key was having someone to snag a table as it became available because there is more...demand than there is a supply of them.More

The line to get into the Old faithful Inn Dining Room was ridiculous so we opted for the adjacent Bear Pit Lounge. The menu is very limited but at least they serve lunch, and it wasn’t crowded. Service was OK, not great. We split a...bison bratwurst, pretty good. Atmosphere was OK, quiet but no view to speak of. All in all OK.More

We stayed at the Old Faithful Inn for two nights during our tour. Not wanting to line up or try to snag a reservation to the main dining room I came in here and snagged a seat at the bar. The menu is very limited...but I got the bison brat along with a couple of local craft beers that were all pretty good. It was pretty busy with people coming in and out to grab a quick bite or a drink before dinner or an eruption. It was a little pricey but compared to other options nearby was pretty reasonable.More

The main reason to be in the area is to see Old Faithful erupt so that puts you on somewhat of a time schedule. The restaurant in the Old Faithful Inn looked good but too time consuming. Our party of 5 enjoyed drinks while waiting...for our order.ur fantastic waiter helped get our order quickly and guaranteed our food would arrive before we needed to rush off and see the geyser. Success! There are other options around Old Faithful but this one hit the spot for us.More

Wanted to have a quick meal without worrying about lining up to eat next door in the dining room. Found a seat pretty easy in the bar and ordered the bison burger. The bar shares the same kitchen as the dining room next door and...the burger came out within 10 minutes. Tasted good but really no different to any other burger eaten. Tasty though. Worth trying. No views from this bar but the ambiance is really good with friendly staff.More

After less than stellar dining experiences in the Inn dining room we chose to check out the Bear Pit. The wait staff there were so good and kept the drinks and food moving that it was a very nice experience. We sat at a large...table and other couples joined us during the evening such that we had a great time discussing our adventures and experiences in the Park! The food choices are limited but they are at least warm and served quickly. We truly enjoyed the time here and would recommend it over the dining room for every meal possible!More

I really wanted a cold beer after walking around the upper geyser area, and arrived at this bar/lounge right at 11:30am when it opened. Bartender recommended a great draft beer and I seated myself at a table by the window which viewed the hotel building...and the pathway (could not see any geysers from inside this bar) but it was interesting to people-watch folks walking by, and the architecture of hotel building that I could see is log cabin style. I ordered chicken sandwich and it was OK. Not a chicken breast as I expected but ground chicken formed into a patty. The menu states it comes with mayonaise so I asked for barbeque sauce and waitress brought me small container which was also good on the french fries. Overall average food in a good location, could have been better if there was a scenic view from windows, then I may have stayed for a second beer.More

Jake the bartender is a professional. He made us feel comfortable, and juggled drink orders and bantered with guests in a manner uncommon these days. We had a few very good beers and some Buffalo wings as a snack, and could not have been happier...among the crowds at YNP. The decor neatly matches the historic inn, and while the menu in the Bear Pit is limited, there is a full-service restaurant adjacent. Worth the time to visit, I look forward to another visit.More

We just stopped off for a drink as we had already eaten in the dining room. It was clearly a popular place and we were able to take our drink out of the bar and relax upstairs on one of the balconies.

After watching a certain well known geyser go off, we stopped in for bison burgers. Last time we were at Old Faithful Inn, there was literally a bison standing behind this place so you would think this would be something they could pull off. The...bison burgers are $16. They also aren't cooked to order, something we discovered when trying to order them medium rare. We were told they could only be done medium well. This was a red flag and we probably should've gone elsewhere, but we were craving one and gave it a shot. There was nothing "medium" about the "medium well". They were dead. We strongly suspect that they were cooked (badly) hours in advance and left to drain any sort of liquids out. If you want a burger, don't bother with this place. Meanwhile, the Lake Hotel, which is in the same park run by the same company manages to do a cook-to-order bison burger (which is the same size!) that's excellent for the same price so these guys just don't have any excuse. The service wasn't great either. I hate mushrooms and ordered the burger with no mushrooms. It, of course, came with mushrooms.More

I posted a photo of the menu, but just looked at it because I couldn’t remember. There are no vegetarian items on the bar menu and I was told they could not bring food to the bar from the dining room menu which does have... More

I don't believe so. This is pretty much a bar, only a couple of appetizers and a couple of meal options.
