Yes - very unique and food is quickly prepared. Typical diner type food but they do have great shakes! Huckleberry Float was the best! Pulled pork sandwich was pretty good. Mud Pot shake was also pretty tasty! Enjoy the atmosphere and take your time to...sit and eat - kinda noisy but you will want some seat time after all the driving! Gift shop is also one the best in the park that we went to! It seems to always be busy but dinner seems like it is less crowded - most people are headed out of the park by then...More

Visited this establishment twice. The facility is designed like something out of the 1950's./60's, with a lot of chrome and red vinyl. The menu is loaded with selections. I ordered a basic cheese burger [each visit], and was more than pleased. The staff are friendly...and quick. It's cheaper to eat here than many other places in the park.More

This was an interesting take on the old lunch counter concept. We waited about 15 minutes for a couple of stools to open up but then were promptly waited on by an interesting young man from Lithuania. We ordered bison burgers; they were OK but...nothing spectacular (we've eaten bison before). The fun was in the atmosphere of the place and in people watching.More

We waited like 45 minutes for a table. I would suggest doing the takeout option if the line is long. The service and food were fine. We just did burgers, grilled cheese and shakes.

As titled tbis was the best place we ate in Yellowstone. It was just an average grilled cheese sandwich and fries. Tasty but nothing special. It says more about how bad the other places we ate were. Still you're not really there for the food!...Food and service were quick.More

Everything tastes better in a National Park so what’s not to like? We don’t look for fine dining, only fuel for the day. This cute soda fountain is a great place for a quick bite & fun conversation. The sandwiches & salads were fresh &...tasty. It’s a good choice in the middle of a busy day exploring. With the design of the counter seating, it’s a fun place for casual conversations with other travelers. Also some of the servers are from other countries so interesting chatting with them. Please remember to tip your servers, they work hard. We’ve had a few meals here over the years, definitely will again & highly recommend.More

Great Vegan options. My wife had the black bean burger with fries and I had the portobello mushroom burger with a side salad. and we got the huckelberry Berry BBQ sauce on the side and it was wonderful. The Black bean burger was spicy and...very yummy. The service was great. What a unexpected delight for Vegan options. At othe other end of the building is a Asian stir fry with many vengan options as well that a great find in Yellstone Canyon VillageMore

The soda fountain has good diner food as you would expect, and the young people working there were all very friendly; one (Matt) even shared his birthday cake with the kids at his section of the counter!

The Soda Fountain and Grill is in the Canyon view store. It is setup like an older dinner with counter seating so you will be sitting next to your fellow dinners. The menu is simple mainly burgers and fries but they also have salads, chicken...sandwich, bean burger, grilled cheese (you can order with bacon or ham if you like), soup and a few other options. Instead of fries you can get a side salad. They also have floats and shakes for desert. The service is efficient and hard working and the food is very tasty. We also had burger at the Old Faithful Geyser Grill and these are MUCH better. The price for the burgers and fries are about $10-$13 depending on what you want on them. Definitely a good option with limited options in the Canyon Village.More

My husband and I had a light lunch yesterday. I had a cup of cheesy tortilla soup. It had a little kick to it and was delicious and hot. My husband had the Yelowstone salad with vinegrette dressing. It had lots of yummy toppings and...was a generous size. Kelsey was our helpful and informative server. The decor of the fountain is 50's retro, in aqua and chrome. Even the menus are nostalgic. Try it out!More
