Excellent evening! We arrived for a little after 5 pm and loved being the first ones to seat. The menu had enough for a pescatarian selection. The Crispy Deviled Eggs are —delicious combination of garlic, chilli, mustard & egg yolk, beautifully plated with sprouts and...black cavier! The charred summer squash with panzanella, honeyrock melon, lime, basil sprinkled with maple-drenched pecans. The entree was spectacular—Seared Salmon done to perfection…moist and flavourful with a crispy skin! I cannot decide which of the divine desserts, decadent Chocolate tart in vanilla anglaise or the delicious Créme Fraiche Ice Cream with peach Compote was better! I cannot wait to return. Be sure to check out the gallery…not to be missed!More

Metropole menu is chef driven, and featured local produce. The bill of fare is far more extensive than any of the other 21c hotel restaurants. The service is really exceptional and the food is delicious. We normally only eat in a hotel restaurant one night...but spent both nights of our stay eating at Metropole. You won't go wrong book a meal here.More

We were staying at the 21c hotel so we went down to enjoy a cocktail before walking downtown to see the river. The hostess was super friendly and warm and seated us at a cozy corner table. After our drinks, we did our walk but...returned for dinner. Luckily there was a table available and we had a perfect dinner. The atmosphere was great- the lighting was perfect, the music selection wonderful, and the volume of the music was just right- you could hear it, but it didn't overwhelm and you were able to have a conversation. The food was excellent! Our waitress was also fabulous! A perfect evening for me and my husband.More

The Metropole staff was courteous and helpful when I arrived. They’re taking all of the COVID precautions, including temperature checks at the door. I ordered my food in advance so I could have a quick in and out and it was ready when I arrived....The metropole fries were just as yummy as I remember. That garlic aioli is lip smacking good. I also enjoyed the radish & avocado salad (I added chicken when I got home) and my husband said the seared salmon was delicious. The charcuterie board has nice accoutrements.More

Stayed at 21c and decided to try their hotel restaurant. We weren’t disappointed! Literally everything we had was awesome. Charcuterie plate (duck bacon and smoked grapes!). Caramelized Brussels. The highlight, though was the braised short rib. The meat was wonderful but the sauce with smoked...tomato and al dente black eyed peas was to die for. And, oh by the way the side order of fries is a must: hands down best fries we’ve ever had. Graham’s service was impeccable, attentive, entertaining, and knowledgeable without being smothering.More

We have been there before for brunch. We met friends. Food is always good as was the food. Got their farm egg omelette with egg whites only. It had a kick to it. - with whole wheat toast and hot tea. And the smoked salmon...Benedict with the Hollandaise on the side. They serve a lot of Hollandaise. I learned the last time to order it on the side. Also tried the Switch Hitter - light on the gin and heavier on the bourbon. That was good. Great art exhibit.More

Had a total blast at 21c's Snow Queens Drag Brunch, a semi-regular event at the hotel's restaurant. After check in at 11:30 a.m., we were seated and presented with very generous servings of turkey sausage frittata and a big platter of breakfast potatoes, mixed salad...and good quality applewood bacon to share, as well as welcome mimosas and Meyer lemon pie for dessert. The food was very good but I could have used a little spice with my frittata and I didn't taste the spinach, onions and peppers it was said to feature. The show was great fun and featured six performers who each came out for several turns in a beautiful and colorful array of costumes. They sang and danced for a solid two hours. We were near the staging area and a big set of speakers. Beware, it does get loud, both from the music and happy crowd. Cost is $45 and includes food and the mimosa. Drinks are extra and you need to bring a stack of dollar bills for the performers!More

We had just driven from Nashville to Cincinnati, so the last thing we wanted to do was to get back in the car to go out for dinner. Plus it was very cold outside. The Metropole was our choice. We went downstairs and found the...restaurant had many available tables. We were seated near the windows, which in reality were a bit drafty and chilly. But we persevered! Caitlyn was our server, and she was terrific. She advised us on the menu and what she liked. So following her advice, I ordered the steak tartare and the duck. My wife ordered the octopus and vegetarian dumplings. All of our food was delicious. We weren't rushed, not did one of the "yellow penguins" come for a visit. We could sit and talk comfortably while we enjoyed our food and each other's company. We made a good choice.More

We ate dinner and breakfast here during our stay. The food was very good and the service was phenomenal! The food was warm and exactly what we ordered. We did not have a long wait. I especially enjoyed the berry smoothie for breakfast. Highly recommended!

Both brunches I had were Thanksgiving brunches/lunches. The first was excellent however the second in 2018 was not.
