Very good poke. Got poke and roasted meat options. Small shop. Lots of options. Not our absolute favorite but definitely a close 2nd place. Very friendly staff. Parking was easy, might have been timing for when we came.
I was disappointed with the abalone poke that I’ve read about. it’s sold by the pound, I think around $28, and a small scoop was $9. Texture was ok but the flavors were not impressive. We also got a rib and poke plate. It’s takeout...only. It’s a temporary location as original location a couple doors down had a fire. Generous portions but ribs were too sweet. The poke was good. Ethels’s Grill is around the corner with table seating and great food so I would recommend going there over here.More
Wasn’t sure what all the hype is about until you actually try their poke. I have tried a lot of poke and this is one of the best. Too bad the market had a fire and won’t be open for months. Oh well at least...we tried the pokeMore
We came here straight off the plane from the airport. It was pretty close. The poke was fresh and delicious. A lot to choose from even though the selection was a bit smaller back in September due to their fire. They were friendly and asked...us about poke back in New York.More
Alicia's main store has been closed due to a fire. They opened a small storefront in the same building called Poke Express to keep customers happy with a limited but delicious selection of poke, char siu pork and ribs, smoked turkey tails and smoked steak.All...excellent.The owners hope to have the main store open for business by the end of the year. We can hardly wait!More
I never expected this small takeout restaurant would have the best poke I have ever had. It's a place worth a visit despite a few minute drive from the waikiki hotel area. I forgot the name of it, but I cannot forget the taste of...the `poke sashimi with onion on top`.More
Saw YouTube food vlogger Mark Wiens recommend this place for poke when in Oahu and put it on our list of places to try when we went. They had a fire so they are in a smaller temp spot for now (1/10/19) and I think...some of the selections were limited but check them out on Instagram for updates! The owner was there and very nice. The service was nice and they were patient with us looking around not knowing what to get. I would say check the menu before you go in so you don’t back up the line—also they will give you samples so get an idea what you want so you can sample and order. The poke was good we ordered a variety. Not bad price for the amount of food. But I definitely should have ordered more rice. Make sure to get the horseradish sauce for the ribs. Anyways we left and started trying the food in the car and drove right back for more. It was pretty good and the service was also. I enjoyed it. Would recommend.More
Head the pleasure of going to Alicia's Market for fresh poke and kaula pig. The neighbourhood is a bit sketchy but the food is well worth the trip. Alicia's smokes their own meat in the back which ends up being quality you can taste. This...is real Hawaiian food and the place usually has a line. You'll see everyone there on their lunch hours which is a good indication of what in store. After 8 days in Oahu this is the one place I constantly think of.More
When we arrived in the airport. We were hungry and the limo Driver suggested we should dropped by for a take out Poke. This family run medium size market located 15 min from airport. Looks like only locals go there. They served a mini mart...but they offered Fresh Poke ( 6:7 style ) Chinese barbecue and even roast beef. We took out one lb of Limu Poke and indeed very fresh and yummy. For 12 dollars a very good deal for such quality of tuna. Need to be back for other PokeMore
