We ate here TWICE during our stay. It was that Good! There is a bit of a wait during lunch hours but it’s worth it! All staff were really nice and helpful on what to order. Everything we had, we were NOT disappointed! If you...want a real Hawaiian lunch come here. Definitely have to get a large order of short ribs with the beef stew and macaroni salad! Best combo!More

You know it's good when a dive restaurant has a long line outside. I always ask the cashier or waiter "what's the most popular dish?" and that's what I usually end up ordering. The cashier recommended the Kalua Pig And Pipikaula Short Ribs with rice....Due to the ongoing C19 pandemic there was few tables available inside and no outdoor dining. I ordered take out and went across the street to the local Lo'I Kalo park and had lunch with the resident chickens. The ribs were so delicious and melted off the bone. Great food even my bird friends tried some of the rice and loved it.More

Love that it's a small size so you can grab a few small plates to share with others and try a bit of everything. 3 of us shared about $60 worth of food (including 2 drinks) and walked away full. Parking can be rough, and...seating is limited. It's no frills, even with all the accolades and recognition.. which I like. It's not everywhere that you see squid lu'au on the menu and it's delicious. I didn't get to try the butterfish because they were out.. but hope to be back in the future.More

Visiting from Calabasas, California wit& my family. So, we wanted to taste the local cuisine. I asked around the hotel, amd we we're giving 3 names for Hawaiian food. We checked this one first, and it was a huge disappointment. No very friendly, looked dirty,...not very tasting, way over priced for the portions, and not thr area you want to visit in your vacation. Checked the other 2 places, and where a thousand times better. Way better food, service, and what they call Aloha. That was missing at this establishment.More

Kailua pig was very good. Good butter fish and poke. Haupia was the best. Small portions. Ribs were tough and dry.

This restaurant serves the typical food of Hawaii. It gets busy very quickly and the hard part is to find a parking spot for your car. You need to get here early to taste some of the traditional the food. If you are not able...to go to a Luau this will be a good alternative. The prices are reasonable, and this restaurant has a long history of tradition that makes it one of the best. Enjoy your visit.More

Had lunch here. Traditional Hawaiian food. Had a bit of a wait, but they are very well organized, friendly and helpful with the menu. Ordered several small dishes to share, and the waitress recommend another based on how hungry we were. Very reasonably priced and...delicious. It was a bit out of the way from our hotel so Ubered over. Well worth it.More

Of course, you may dine in, take out, order in. Dine in is still the best cause you can add more to your order while eating.

They don’t take reservations. We went around 7pm and waited 15min, so not bad at all.

As long as you don't get rice or macaroni salad with your meal. I believe it comes with the combo plates but you dont have to eat it. The Lau Lau is just veggie and meat, the squid luau is as well. Short answer...yes you can... More
