We tried the sugar and cinnamon and sugar ones. They were good and huge. Would order again and try the filled ones.

Get the same great tasting malasadas from Leonard's at one of their mobile trucks! Easy peasy and not as crazy busy as the brick & mortor locaction! Thanks Leonard's!!!

If you are nearby, or even if you have to drive a bit, this place is worth a stop! All of the malasadas are made to order - and you can't go wrong with any flavor you pick!

The cinamon and sugar, and cream filled malasadas are the best you'll eat, anywhere. We brought them to the beach and at them while we watched the sunset over Waikiki.

They make the traditional malassadas to order so they are fresh and hot. There is no place to sit and parking is limited. We took an Uber there; enjoyed our fresh malassadas while standing; and then left. Worth the visit!

Every time we passed this place there was a line outside, but we finally gave in. Go inside first, place your order, then go outside to wait. And wait. The signs say they're short-staffed and I guess they are. The malasadas were delicious, so if...you're craving a special dessert stop here.More

Our tour operator raved about the malasadas so my daughter insisted we try them. They were so good. So much better than a donut. Fresh and hot. My daughter had the chocolate filled type and it was loaded with chocolate. Good thing she ate it...standing up! It just gushed chocolate. She was in heaven. My wife and I had the safer choice. Cinnamon and sugar. Equally delicious. We will have to return on a future trip.More

Thought these were really good. I had never tried them before, and my daughter insisted that Leonards was the best, so we did it. Got a variety and I think the entire family really enjoyed them.

This place makes every list of places to eat in Oahu. It has definitely earned its place. Delicious malasadas that come fresh out of the oven and hot when you pick up your order. A variety of flavors and very reasonably priced! Dough is soft...and tons of filling- grab napkins! Worth the visit, there is always a line but it moves fast. We did not have a car and took the bus to get there and back with no issues. Close to waiola shave ice and Ono seafood so you can do a few food stops in one go.More

We saw the food truck at about 3055 Waipuna Rise in Honolulu and wanted to avoid the store front lines so stopped and grabbed a half dozen malasadas...haupia (coconut) is the best filling ! They are served nice and warm. It is basically a fluffy...donut filled with heavenly filling.More

I read these reviews and saw the longggg lines at Leonard’s so I expected something fantastic. It’s a fried donut with the worst filling I’ve ever tasted. The chocolate was the worst but they all tasted like artificial flavors and just no.

This place was also highly recommended so on our second day in Oahu, we went to Leonard's for our 'breakfast". This is our first time try malasadas and its probably the best malasadas! It was warm and soft and tasty. We loved the Haupia, Chocolate...and Cinnamon filling but was happy to try all of the filling. The malasadas was soo good we went back for a second time and would have bought more if we were not concerned about all the sugar we were eating. I wish they were available in mainland US. If you will be in Oahu, dont miss Leonard's Bakery. Its worth the calories!More

Listen I’ll make this simple… Go the donuts are great and it’s worth the weight to taste them and say that you’ve been. Good luck finding a parking spot and expect to wait in line.

Leonard's is a crazy place. No place to sit, no place to park and should not be missed! The filled donuts are amazing. Hot, sugary and filled with your favorite Hawaiin filling like Mango or Macadamia creme or traditional flavors like custard or vanilla. Just...be prepared to open the trunk of your car and get plenty of napkins to wipe the excess sugar off your face.More

All of the fillings should be safe. From what I observed, they don't use soy

To the best of my knowledge, Leonard's malasadas are made using butter and liquid dairy products (half and half and/or milk).

Yes. My son has nut allergies and he was good. No issues. I would ask just to be sure.
