This place always seemed busy with a line of people waiting to get in every time wife and I walked by. Well our last day would you know it; the line wasn’t that long about 10-15 minutes. Wife and I shared the #8 beef udon,...beef teriyaki udon, a crab meat tempura and wife had to have her spam musubi. I’m telling you it’s definitely worthy of the wait time, lol. You enter and place your order. The noodles here are homemade and the beef was excellent and the broth get back because that was very flavorful and set well on our palette, simply put you drink that lol. The teriyaki beef was tender and was very sweet, we definitely favored the beef udon soup. The crab tempura was crispy and meat was moist. Wife was very pleased with the spam musubi; it’s fresh just needed chili oil to kick it off. Overall a must try while in Waikiki Beach.More

Every time we passed this restaurant the line was around the corner. We decided to see and taste what this line is about. So we waited 20 minutes in line to get this food. Wow, we ordered the Teriaki beef bowl with ukon noodles, a...sweet potato tempura, and a big chicken tempura. This food was off the chain!! If you go, be prepared to wait, but be of good cheer, it is worth the wait.More

I went here based on Trip Advisor reviews and I wasn’t disappointed. There is always a line here but it moves quickly so don’t be scared to give it a try. I had no idea what to order because I’m new to this kind of...food. The menu had pictures posted outside so you could look at the options while waiting in line. I went with the “most popular” option which was a beef broth with noodles and an egg. The beef was kind of like shredded roast beef. The egg was soft cooked and just kind of dissolved into the soup. It was tasty! My husband went with the beef teriyaki bowl. It had pieces of beef similar to “beef and broccoli” at a Chinese place. He could choose noodles or fried rice in the bowl. He went with noodles because it’s a noodle place but the fried rice looked good too. It comes with chop sticks but I saw people who had plastic forks so you must have to ask for a fork. The line is like a cafeteria where you get a tray and go along telling them what you want and pay at the end. There was plenty of seating inside and also more seats outback. The place was clean and efficient. If you want to try something new, I’d recommend this place.More

The manager brandon? braton? He spit on us because we asked to come in when a homeless guy was harassing us outside the restaurant. DO NOT GO IN.

Delicious hot bowls of udon noodle soup at a lower price than one would expect in Waikiki. Lines go out the door but process goes fast. Sort of a cafeteria set up. Grab a tray, tell them what number of entree you want and what...size. Once you get your bowl you can add one of a number of extras like tempura shrimp. At the end of the line you add beverages and pay. They are serious about the covid thing. A large (vs regular) bowl will cost you under $10. Fresh hand made broth and noodles. I'd avoid wearing my finest top as you might slash a bit.More

I went here with my family for dinner, and I ordered the Kitsune. The only thing is that the tofu was too sweet. Got takeout a few days later, and no surprise that we weren’t disappointed. The noodles didn’t get soggy, and everything was still...warm. Best udon place ever!More

Social distanced tables with contact tracing. Variety of hot items to accompany your ramen. I've had the beef and tofu versions. I wish they would offer an alternate that was not sweet - perhaps a shrimp or veggie. The spam musubi is awesome. And the...tempura items are tasty. Try it at least once. Line moves quickly.More

Not sure why this place is so popular perhaps price? Food was ok, self-service, no bathroom for dine-in customers, rude employees. I wouldn't recommend it.

We passed by this restaurant our first night in waikiki and ate across the street from it and was curios to see why the line was long and around the corner. So the next day at lunch time there was no line so we went...in. We order 2 noodle bowls, different broth, one was regular taste the other was a bit sweeter both were good. There was a line by the time we finished eating but it seem to be moving fast.More

Might be the very high ranking and the numerous positive reviews, but the udon was good but not great. The noodles were doughy. The curry broth was pretty good...added a unique flavor to udon. However, the shrimp tempura was not good at all. It looked...nice behind the counter, but was cold and stale...like it had been sitting around for hours. Not bad overall...just not as good as everyone raves. Line moves reasonably fast, but this is not a must-go (at least for me).More

Yes I believe there is MSG in their food. I can tell whenever I eat foods with MSG I get really thirsty afterwards and it was the case here.
