We stopped in while we were on vacation for a little pizza it was hands-down fantastic pizza we were stuffed and to full and couldn’t purchase a gelato but our waitress got us a sample and my husband let me have a small taste. He gave me only a small taste because he said it was too good to share. So glad that pizzicletta is now serving over at toasted owl as well ! This is a must stop when we are on vacation and flag

We were visiting from out of state, staying at a nearby Marriott property, and wanted pizza and salad to take back to our room. Our server suggested the carne dolce pizza which had a unique and savory flavor from the sage. I found myself wishing I had a side of Ranch to dip the yummy pizza crust in. We ordered a Caesar as well. It was a large salad but we only got one small cup of the dressing so we wound up eating half the salad with no dressing. Pros: Pizza was good, friendly staff, lettuce for salad was fresh, salad dressing was tasty. Cons: The pizza, while flavorful, seemed a bit sparse. Maybe I’m just used to what I make at home where I put on lots of toppings! The Caesar croutons were literally almost as hard as rocks. Both of us threw them away because we didn’t want to suffer broken dental work but the salad was a bit boring without them. It would have been nice to have two small cups of dressing instead of one which wasn’t enough. The hostess area where we needed to stand to place our takeout order was small and the hostess asked us (very politely) if we could move so that she could welcome incoming guests, but there was really nowhere for us to go and it felt awkward. Maybe management could reevaluate the space just inside the front door? And my biggest concern was that there was a large tray of 20 or so wide mouth pint jars filled with what I assumed to be drinking water right on the entry/hostess table. They were uncovered so that everyone who came in was breathing on them. This does not seem a good health and sanitation protocol no matter whether there’s a lingering pandemic or not! I have never seen such a practice in a restaurant before.

It’s usually pretty crowded, so expect a wait. The pizza is great, salads are great too. For dessert the gelato is outstanding. If you’re not up for the wait try Mother Road Brewing around the corner, they serve Pizzicleta food, same menu. The wait staff actually runs back and forth!

While the flavor was ok, the majority of the crust was inedible. I’ll let the photo speak for itself. If you only serve one thing, it should come out perfect. If you know the crust is burnt and inedible, you should not put it in the servers hands to deliver to your customer.

Guess being a New Yorker makes you look at other pizza with a giant question mark. Pizzicletta gives you the answer: Not good. Aside from a burnt crust that was inedible, the sauce tastes like Ragu and they are very skimpy on the cheese. The specialty house bread was not so special. The butter to cover the taste of the bread did make that more palatable. We threw out half the pizza since it was just not edible. Overpriced and not good. The next answer to my questions about the pizza in Flagstaff is to go elsewhere.

We had not been to Pizzicletta in years, I think just by a failure to think of it (and having three kids making the small place hard to pull off on any busy night). This is a tiny restaurant with one main communal table, so you need to like people you don't know being seated on one side or both sides of you or you need to wait longer for some of the solo tables inside and out on their sidewalk patio areas. My wife and I went for an unexpected date night and we sat at the communal table as an outside table would have been a 30+ minute wait. Since you are basically sitting next to the kitchen, it is loud and sound bounces a lot. All that being said, it was excellent pizza and drinks. I had a flight of Italian amaros to taste, my wife had a cider, and we shared a focaccia and burrata appetizer before sharing an arugula and prosciutto white pizza with calabrian chiles added. The crust was tender and crispy outside and just the right amount of chewy. Burrata was fresh and tasty with caprese salad items with it (tomatoes, balsalmic, etc.). Price was reasonable for what we received, but be aware that each pizza feeds 1-2 people, so a group is likely ordering multiple pizzas. Staff was friendly, but it is a bit awkward having your bill read out loud to you at the communal table. I look forward to coming back much faster than our last gap, but just know what you are getting into so that you can enjoy the place and the meal.

The pizza here is fantastic. We split the Bees Knees and a seasonal pizza, as well as a flight of beer. Everything was prepared so well we decided to pack it to go so we could try a homemade ice cream for dessert. The salted chocolate ice cream was definitely salty, but it was delicious! The only odd thing is that they have 2 different menus, tabs and service for beer vs food. Not sure if it has always been that way, but it made timing a bit off between getting drinks and food and then waiting to close out one tab when we were ready to go. Visit this place. It's worth a stop!

Pizza was truly amazing. It tasted just like the best Neapolitan pizza that we had many times in Naples, Italy, Any negative review you see here are from people who have never been to Italy and savored what pizza truly tastes like. The burnt edges are from the required hot ovens. If you want dry New York style pizza go someone else.

You must try the pizzas here - they are so good! Fresh, hand pulled dough with high quality ingredients make for the best pizzas. The staff are so friendly and helpful too. Give them a try!

This review is for the location at 7 S. Mike's Pike. Although this location's size is small, be ready for handcrafted pizza with big flavor. The oven-fired pizza, was prepared in our view along with the pizza oven. The dough and roasted mushrooms we added had an excellent flavor. We enjoyed a homemade gelato for desert. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Definitely worth a visit while in Flagstaff.

There are pizzas you ate in college, and then there's Pizzacletta. This place has amazing pizza and the salad was wonderful and plentiful. The carne pizza blew my mind combining spicy chorizo and sweet honey glaze. The crust would be great by itself. This is our new family favorite in Flagstaff.

Very pretentious and overpriced. The place was small, the service was at best okay and the over-hipsterized menu choices were limited. Pizza toppings were esoteric ingredients hardly anybody outside some village in one region of italy cares for. Nduja sausage paste? Really? The pizza was small, burnt on the outside doughy on the inside and soupy in the middle and the cook is inconsistent between pies. One pizza barely feeds one person for around 23 bucks. Plus they have no ice. We are Americans here. We like ice. Even in italy the bring americans ice. Go across the street if you’re hungry or next door to the brew pub if you want iced tea. Spent 120 bucks and left hungry.

Grown up close to Italy I was excited to try this place for its Italian style pizza. It's quite pricey and just one size. I ordered a Margherita with 1/2 pepperoni and the home made burrata. Once opened the box I was quite disappointed. The dough was wet/oily in the middle and the edge was burnt. The dough somehow tasted bitter. I prefered the pizza to be thin and crusty. To be honest, the pizza isn't better than any other pizza chain - unfortunately. The burrata was ok, but should be more moist and with buttery flavor. Good try tough!

We follow Tommy ("Rivs") Puzey's progress and know that you are great friends with him! Hope to make a visit to Flagstaff in the near future and so look forward to visiting and dining at Pizzicletta. (I called and ordered a "surprise" dinner gift for a customer of your choice many months ago ...). For the person who gave your pizza a one star rating and hopes to go to Domino's (oh, dear) where they really know how to make a great pizza, all I can say is ... wow. Just wow. Clearly that person knows little to nothing about great pizza and even less about authentic Neapolitan, wood-fired pizza. Oh, well. To each his own. More for me. Yayyy!

If you like burned, doughy pizza and overpriced pizza, this is the place for you. Next time I’m going to dominos. Just because you have a pizza oven, clearly does not make you a qualified pizza maker.
