Just a ma n pop style restaurant, but the best ever. Traditional northern new mexico food. No twists on the chiles, no twists on anything. We love coming here. Great menudo!

We stopped in here because it was close to our hotel and because we saw the good reviews. We were greeted in a very friendly manner, we were the last ones to come in for dinner, and enjoyed the cooks and waitresses singing as they...More
I stopped in Santa Fe on business, and I went looking for a walkable dinner option from the hotel. The restaurant is half way down an old strip shopping center and is about as unassuming as a restaurant can get. I had Enchiladas Carnitas Adovada...More
This restaurant was a short drive from our hotel on Cerrillos Road and was all around great. My wife and I both had sopapillas - her's was veggie and mine was chicharon (pork belly), and they both were great. The margaritas were huge too! This...More
We went to El Comal because of the many good reviews and did not leave disappointed. The waitress was friendly, the prices reasonable and the portions rather large. Try this place.
El Comal is not a spot the average tourist will find or frequent and the little strip mall looks mildly sketchy, but sit down for a meal and you'll find friendly service and authentic New Mexican food. The salsa and homemade chips are excellent and,...More

We had dinner one night. Heat level not adjusted for tourists. Huge sopapillas. Their posole was very good. Portion size was big. A pleasant surprise!
