The green sauce is a MUST! I could have drank it, the flavour is great and not too spicy at all. We were staying at The Best Western around the corner on vacation and loved you could order online and do curb side! So of...course 3 nights out of our 6 were ordered curb side! Tried a few different things but ended up LOVING the whole chicken & asadas the best! That chicken was amazing and so tender with such unique flavours asadas was so filling and juicy. Home made tortillas definitely missing that now that we are home. Guacamole and the pico were also very yummy. We enjoyed it so much! Organized drive thru, curb side and super friendly staff! They have THE BEST GREEN SAUCE!!! But their prices are HIGH for the amount you get. I ordered the largest rice and the smallest green sauce. $5...not sure it's worth that.

Several people that should be working texting and talking on their phones and not paying attention to customers. Quality and service has gone downhill.

We came to this roadside chicken stand and it was immediately apparent its a local favorite, with long lines of people waiting to get in. We had to wait outside in the heat (though in the shade on a bench) for our turn. The place...is exceedingly casual, but you know immediately what the fuss is all about with large portions of great chicken and wonderful food coming your way when you sit down for a decent price.More

Unpretentious place with a lot of locals eating lunch. The half chicken was really good and the little packets of onions, lemon, and jalapenos were great add-ons. It was 110 degrees outside the day we were there, and it was (understandably) warm inside, but not...to worry, we drank about a gallon each of the sweet tea and it was just what we needed after walking around the Missions (not the best choice for a day hot enough to grill onions on the sidewalk, but hey, it's Texas.) Mind blowing fajitas!!! We went here because of the amazing reviews and my husband got the chicken. His was ok but my son and I got the fajitas for 2 and we could not stop eating them- even after we were stuffed. The meat was...so tender and seasoned so perfectly!More

The food is amazing, the atmosphere is very quaint. Awesome place. The drive through was backed up, 2 lines deep, at 5:45 when we arrived. Once inside, ordered and ate I see why there are so many vehicles here. Will be back!

You know you are in for a good meal when the parking lot is full @ 11am on a weekday! This restaurant had a bit of a wait for a table, but the food was worth the wait! Staff were friendly & very accommodating! Management...were on the floor assisting staff with whatever needed done to allow a smooth lunch service. This place is awesome!! Our family of four visited on a weekday in April for lunch. You can smell the spices as you walk up. We were immediately seated and we ordered. Everyone loved their food! We got the chicken and a burger. They run...a tight ship at this place. Service was great and you can tell they are used to being busy.More

We love finding the hidden gems. As one review stated, this is a hidden gem! They are obviously famous for their chicken and now I know why. We went there last night and only waited about 20 minutes before being seated. We already knew what...we wanted so both myself and my wife ordered 1/2 a chicken, guacamole, and charro beans (those were our adds). Every bite was met with an authentic Mexican flavor. Even the guacamole, without the usual Tex-Mex ingredients was incredible. They were all VERY friendly and extremely efficient serving the tables yet keeping them turned over for the next customer. On a side note, the servings are big and 1 charro bean order will easily feed two. This is an inexpensive, low budget location with incredible food. If I were asked to name 1 thing they could do better, I’d say NOTHING! It’s perfect the way it is! It’s apparent by the number of locals, this isn’t a hidden gem for them but a well-known local eats. I was in San Antonio for business and saw this restaurant listed on TA and decided to give it a try. It’s authentic! All the staff were nice and extremely accommodating. Much appreciated. The service was very fast. I ordered the steak fajitas with beans...and rice. Huge portions and delicious! The fajitas for one but I could have made two complete meals out of it. But I do have to say I wish I had ordered the chicken, also. I saw others eating it and wow! Wish I could have had time to go back there the next day and order the chicken. Best Mexican food I had the entire trip, or possibly, ever. I went to Mi Terra also on this trip, maybe because that has been my “go to” place. Absolutely no comparison! If I go back there it will be for the bakery items and not the menu food items.More
