About
25-years ago we began brewing our distinctive craft beers in downtown Salt Lake City. That makes us one of the pioneers of Utah’s innovative craft beer culture. Although it’s never been our intent to be the biggest brewery in the West, with more than 75 gold, silver and bronze medals; there’s no doubt we’re one of the best.Red Rock Brewing Co. is just blocks away from all downtown hotels and the Salt Palace Convention Center. We’re the perfect stop for a business lunch, afternoon break, or a casual dinner with friends. Red Rock Brewing is family friendly and has a menu to suit every taste. Solo diners are always welcome! We have a diverse selection of craft beer on tap as well as six different high-gravity beers such as our top-selling Double IPA (8.5% ABV); Russian Imperial Stout (10.1% ABV); and our special Anniversary Imperial Red Ale (9.5% ABV)…all served in our big German style 500ml bottles.Come on by and see why the locals love Red Rock!

This is one of Salt Lake's best beer bars and should be on your list if visiting the city. The pub is large and smart and jas a friendly feeling to it when you walk in. You need to roder food if you are having a drink so we enjoyed some mozzarella sticks and avocado toast with burrata which were both very good. With a pale ale and diet coke it cam to just over $18 and we were well looked after by Cody.

We ordered curb side to go and it worked out great. Ordering was easy, we got 3 different types of salads and everyone really enjoyed their salad. We pulled up and someone brought our salads out shortly after we pulled up.

We were looking for a brewery in town and found this one. Parking was a bit tricky. There is street parking and a back lot but its tiny! We ended up parking in the structure across the street. With COVID, they were limiting the amount of tables. Waited about 15 mins on a Friday night, which isn't bad compared to a couple other restaurants we were looking at. Server was friendly & food & beer was good. Our food selections were pretty good. We had the fried mozzarella sticks (good), Superfood salad with grilled chicken (excellent), Red Rock burger with fries (excellent), comes with homemade pita bread and Rotisserie Chicken (a bit dry for my liking but good) and a variety of beers (yummy)

I placed an online order for 4 people at 6:24pm and received a text notification that the order would be ready at 6:34pm. No one came out to the pickup lane and no one responded to phone number on the sign at the pickup lane. I turned off my car after 5 minutes and went inside. The two women at the counter said my order wasn't ready and they would bring them out when it was ready. My order finally arrived at 6:58, a 24 minute wait. The order arrived without the pint of root beer I ordered. I informed the woman who delivered it and she went inside to get it. She came out with a small Styrofoam cup. When I told her I paid $4.00 for a pint, she said that was all they had. She didn’t offer to get a second one to make it pint. When I got home, the root beer was flat. My dinner was a Cuban sandwich. It was made on old, dry bread and had one small pickle. It was poor quality. The side order of onion rings were completely soggy. My son said his wings were dry and didn’t have enough sauce so he didn’t finish them. The restaurant later in the evening closed for web ordering. The food and experience was disappointing, especially considering it was an $84 meal.

Stopped here for dinner last night. Ordered the chopped salad with chicken, it was delicious, I'd recommend it. We also ordered the Red Rock burger served on their homemade pita bread, it was really good. Beer selection was good. The food is good and reasonably priced.

Went out with an associate for dinner here he had been before and recommended it. The food was great very great flavor to the appetizer the steak was well prepared and seasoned. My very slight dislike of the place was the staff I don’t know if they were short staffed or what the situation was but the waiter was not very attentive and very slow to bring back the credit card after we paid. Other than that, it’s a great place

Red Rock was one of the suggested places to go from our hotel, since it was just a couple of blocks walking distance. He had a couple of IPAs and a personal pizza, I had a mixed drink and a bowl of French onion soup. Everything was good a reasonably priced (nearly 30 dollars cheaper than another brewery visited two days beforehand).

Pleasantly surprised with Red Rock! Went on a double date to this brewery and the beers and food were amazing. I got the Cuban sandwich and it was very very good. The picture makes it look dry, but I was too eager to take a good picture, I had already taken a few bites. It had a good smoky flavor and was moist and delicious. The fries are also a weird curly shape which made it unique. The beer selection was good too, we each tried a few and we liked all of them. The waiter was also very good at helping make decisions, he had really good suggestions for us. We have been going around breweries that serve dinner around salt lake recently, and this is one of our top picks after our experience last night!

The service was good. I ordered the French onion soup and Brussel sprouts. The soup was good however the sprouts should be cooked differently or add balsamic glaze to them. It looked like a good place to grab a beer however I was only there for lunch. Not my favorite place in town but try if you want! Everyone will have a different opinion and experience.

We were hungry for a late lunch/earlier than usual dinner. Decided on the wild mushroom pizza but added Italian sausage to it. Ordered the menu suggested Golden Halo blonde ale. Perfect combination and just the right size pizza for 2. We watched ordered being delivered to other tables (quite a few for a Saturday after 2pm). We could be regulars, if only we lived here instead of Tampa FL.

What can I say about this institution ? This is another location I HAVE to go to when in Salt Lake City. The food is beyond fantastic and the beer is also stunning. I was here with friends the first time on this visit celebrating a birthday. So we only had appetizers but they were good. However, the piece de resistance was the next day when I went in for dessert only. Once again the dessert menu was limited but wow what choices. I can't remember some of the three of four choices because the Peach Cobbler was the best I had in recent memory as in the last five or so years. Yes, it WAS that good. I paired it with their Black Bier and man what a combo. It was as if these two were made for each other. The beer cut the sweetness of the cobbler and added notes and dimensions that threw a surprise party for my taste buds I really enjoy going here and I am never disappointed. So if you are in Salt Lake City please check it out.

We went for an early dinner at about 5. Not many customers. The hostess seated us in the back all by ourselves. We asked for paper menus. She seemed annoyed and said "I'll see if I can find one". She found "one" that we shared. It clearly had been used before. Waiter came over and said the paper menu didn't have all items available and left it at that. I should have known at that point to get up and leave. So we ordered drinks. For beer the waiter pointed to the wall that had their selections and offered little help. He too seemed annoyed that we were not familiar with their local beers. I ordered a beer my daughter order a martini. Big mistake. It came in the smallest martini glass we have ever seen. We ordered food (another mistake) Cobb salad and burger. Neither was very good. At this point we knew this was a place for beer and appetizers and nothing more than that. Locals at the bar were having a good time. I'm sure it's a good place to hang at bar and have a few beers. But don't walk in from out of town and expect much.

I stopped for lunch but did not try any beers. I had the fish & chips, which was halibut. I have had halibut in Alaska and it was fantastic. This halibut was very fishy tasting, and the portions for the price were very small (Three small squares for $23). Their chips were some type of french fries that were hard like they weren't cooked enough. I only ate about half of them. The plate was loaded with fries which I think was supposed to distract from the small amount of fish. Maybe their beer is better than their food.

Well this is my second visit, once on our last visit to Utah in August 2021 and then today. Amanda our server is exceptional ( I don’t often say this ). She was super attentive to all of her tables, her recommendations in beer was spot on for me and she remembered to CHILL our Tequilas, something other restaurants on our 10 day stay in Utah have failed to do upon request. Our food was delicious compliments to the chef and brought out piping hot Yumm. Whatever we asked for was delivered to table no questions asked. Then we met Dan the manager who is also a Gem, personable and easy to talk to, jolly. We will definitely be back. Wish I could give them 10 💫 🧡🧡🧡

We stopped after exploring Salt lake needing an Adult Beverage after all the kids activities. Loved the Wheat Beer and Clay was a great server. The steak salad was a 10-10 along with the fried pickles. My son loved his chicken fingers and my hubby got the Buffalo chicken sandwich. He liked it but it could have had more sauce he said.
