One of the most delightful vegetarian cuisines I've had. The quantity is amazing! The Nachos were made with Home-made Cheese and the Grilled Sandwich was deliciously crispy. The star of the meal was the Soup served with the grilled sandwich. Loved the place.

While it took us much longer than expected, our discovery of “Zest” was rewarding. Seated at a comfortable corner banquet table, good for conversing, we skipped on the requested ice-less water and then toasted with a cute little rainbow canned sparkling wine, Our House”.
We decided to start our order and share 2 items: nachos and stuffed avocado salad. Both portions were so massive that despite our appetites even shared between 3 people we were stuffed! This value is so wonderful in this time of seemingly universal increased costs: we 3 dined we for $50. I would recommend they have some signage outside to help future searchers!

Absolutely delicious food! Doesn’t matter if you’re vegan or vegetarian. The flavor combinations are so wonderful. We tried avocado salad, creamy carrot soup, nachos and brussel sprout appetizer. I can’t wait to go again and try even more. This is a restaurant/bar. We were there for a late lunch so I can’t say how the evenings are with regards to live music, but the service was outstanding. Parking can be a challenge, be sure to watch the time so not to get a parking ticket. This is a must go to restaurant! I made reservations but it wasn’t necessary for a mid afternoon lunch.

So disappointed. The reviews, the price range ($10-16 NOT), the photos of the food…. I was so excited to visit Zest as we are in the city for a night. I twisted my meat eating husband’s arm to go - telling him about the views, and showing him the photos. We got there and the atmosphere was MEH to say the least. We were seating in elbows length of another couple despite there being plenty of tables. We are not fans of looking at menus on our phone but the waitress said they didn’t have a single printed menu. We both struggled to see the full menu but saw tacos that looked good and Irish stew. The waitress said we were informed they were all of Cuban tacos but we have another flavor tacos. We said, okay we’ll get those and the Irish Stew. We were then informed, sorry the Irish Stew is all out. Okay we’ll get the other tacos and what do you recommend? The pasta with meatballs is delicious she told us. We’ll get that! Whew. Back came the waitress - the other tacos are all out now too. Okay, what else can we get we cannot read the menu on our phones. She suggested the margarita pizza.
The pasta and meatballs arrived well before the pizza, clearly microwaved and not made to order at the cost of $19. It was pasty and had an oddly unpleasant flavor. I ate about 1/3 before I realized the calories were not worth the taste. My husband’s pizza arrive and it was good and flavorful sauce and fresh crust. At $45 (we only drank water), we left Zest feeling beyond disappointed. I wished I asked to return my pasta but we were so hungry and tired after a long day of traveling. I looked around and saw several people ordered it and did not eat the whole thing There were other dishes around us that looked good though. Sadly, we would recommend this restaurant.

We arrived at 8:15 pm - the restaurant closed at 9. We were not greeted by a hostess so they bartender got her attention, and she told us to sit wherever. We went to sit in the upper level, but there were tables still covered w dirty dishes. The wait staff were busily cleaning, sweeping and sorting silverware for the next day- ciearly more focused on jumpstarting the close vs allowing the diners to enjoy a nice dinner. We had no napkins, silverware or plates. We asked for some when we got our appetizer. Only got silverware. Had to ask for plates. We got 2 small plates, great for the appetizer. We were sharing the mains, and when they arrived, no bigger plates were offered, so we asked for 2. We got 1. The food was quite good, but this restaurant had been on my list since pre-pandemic …and I won’t rush back. Note that I have never written a restaurant review here, but this was so disappointing!

We found ourselves in Salt Lake City for a few days on a work trip and decided to pop into Zest for a bite one evening! Ordered several things — the pasta penne was def a highlight. The solo taco with orange marinated jackfruit was delicious as well. The deviled avocado was ok — we really enjoyed the pepper sauce but overall there wasn’t much flavor, even in the filling. Customer service was good and the price point was ok. Definitely worth checking out but wasn’t a bang for us. We’ll give it another shot next time we’re in town, for sure.

One of the best restaurants I’ve been in a long time! Inventive, delicious, amazing service! I will definitely be back.
The jalapeño poppers had kick, and were amazingly refreshing. My favourite was the salted caramel hazelnut torte with dark chocolate. I would like an entire pie, please!

Seriously good food! My fiancé and I came here on a Saturday night and although it was busy, we were greeted and seated right away. The menu has so many interesting veggie-forward options to choose from and we wish we could eat everything they offer, but alas, we settled on the baked mushroom with cashew cheese, crispy polenta skillet, Thai sunrise curry, green juice, and a glass of rosé. All the dishes were delicious with a perfect blend of flavors. If you’re vegetarian, vegan, or just a person who enjoys good food, check this place out!

Located in downtown Salt Lake, I found this spot when walking back to my hotel after leaving another restaurant. It was a great place to stumble upon. We had already eaten but had the best fresh jalapeño poppers I’ve tasted. Everything is organic and fresh. The bartender made me a delicious drink that had champagne and fresh raspberry juice with another liquor that I wish I could remember in order to duplicate at home. My friend had a local IPA and then I ventured to finish things off with a local IPA. So, lots of good local brews on tap. I’ll be back!

Easy to find in the heart of Salt Lake City. Wonderful selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The nachos are amazing and enough for two people! We also had Jalapeño Poppers, Potatoes Con Fungi, and a Carrot Cake. All of which were delicious.

We were interested in having Lunch at the Zest but even getting a menu was quite a challenge. The paper menu was all marked up with cross outs and scanning the QR code to see an updated menu is not the way to attract diners over the age of 50. We are aware of the pandemic but other restaurants managed to provide a usable menu. Ended up leaving and looking for another option.

So much flavor! Beautiful food! Gluten-free and vegan!
My family was at the end of a 10 day vacation and were craving some vegetables lol. This place looked good to us but was better than we could have imagined! None of us are vegan and only my daughter and I are gluten free. We were all beyond happy with our meal!
We got nachos, avocado toast, protein salad, and jalapeño poppers. EVERYTHING was spectacular.
The salad had pickled beats on it and my husband who is aggressively anti-beat was a little freaked out when the salad was set before him, but being a good sport tasted one. He cleaned his plate and is now wanting to look for some we can keep at home to add to our salads.

We had lunch at Zest on a Friday. The breakfast tacos were amazing. The breakfast pizza was good. It was actually better, leftover and cold! We ordered a brussel sprouts appetizer that was quite tasty as well. I didn't love the coffee, but I am not vegan so I still prefer half and half in my coffee.

One of the best foods we had in Salt Lake City.
Delicious and high quality food, amazing drinks.
Friendly staff.
We’re definitely going back next time we’re in SLC. We tried the Nachos, Chili, Tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich. But the star of the menu was the Carrot Cake that is to die for

We started with Brussel Sprout appetizer which is SO amazing you will come back just for them. We split the Pasta Alfredo with mushrooms which in our case large enough for 2 especially if you are going to have their yummy Carrot Cake. We always come here when in SLC and you should too Vegan or not!
