We had already rejected one chip shop as the chips were cooked in beef dripping (ugh!!) This place came recommended and the chips were a joy, piping hot, golden and crispy-some of the best we have ever eaten. Wow!!
Went for a lunchtime visit whilst staying in Cromer and it was lovely. The upstairs restaurant was closed so we were downstairs but you had a view of the pier and seafront. Staff were lovely and as I’ve said in the title this was truly...the best Fish & Chips ever. Highly recommended.More
Just spent a week in Cromer & ended up having 3 meals from No. 1. Equals he best chips we have had plus the fish & sausage in batter were amazing. Portions were plentiful, staff were efficient & packaging all recyclable.
Very disappointing. Bland and cold decor. Waitress quite rude when we asked for time to drink our drinks before ordering. Whitebait greasy and tasteless. Cod was good and mushy peas excellent. Total sum £105 for fish and chips !! Should have gone to the local...chippy !More
We were a party of six but had no trouble getting a table as the place was half empty. The staff were really great and helpful. The only disappointment was the fish with was dry and lacked flavour. Maybe just a bad day as so...many rate this place highly but it was a bit pricey.More
Terrible!!! Takeaway service is awful. Young guy called Nathan was rude and price is ridiculous. Considering it's linked to no.1 upstairs... It's rough! Food is very mediocre and greasy def. had better. Customer service of these front counter staff is terrible.
Tasty fish and chips at a price! We went here twice and tried the cod and haddock. The second visit, we waited quite a while for our food to arrive and my haddock was a bit thin and overcooked but everyone else enjoyed theirs.
Very...clean restaurant with the seats ( and tables!) being wiped down between each customer.
Helpful with my dairy and soya allergy- they have gluten free batter which was dairy and soya free.
It’s not cheap but worth it!More

Unfortunately we do not allow dogs in either of our restaurants. However this doesn't stop you enjoying our award winning fish and chips from our takeaway, there are many beautiful spots along the esplanade.
