If you're looking for a good comfort-food and beer place for lunch, look no further! It's an interesting locally-owned pub where they make some of the beer that's available. We just had lunch there, but I think I had the best burger ever! Try the Pepperoni Burger; cooked the way you want topped with pepperoni, mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Others at my table had the crab cake sandwich and the fish tacos with compliments coming from my entire party. Fair prices. The place was quiet enough to have comfortable conversation.

Safe and soothing!

An old standby when you have a larger group, children, or a group that prefers something standard and not too adventurous. The roof top bar is loads of fun and a wonderful spot on a warm summer night - the crowd can lean a little bit young and single as the night goes on but the atmosphere is worth it. Stick with safer meal like the fabulous macaroni and cheese, and occasionally be blown away by a delicious special that appears once on the menu never to return. Perfect for your midwest relatives in town for Frederick cuteness.

New Place for Lunch

Stoped in for lunch on the recommendation of the visitors bureau. We were seated right away but it was a little while before anyone came over to wait on us. She took our orders, I got the Mac and cheese and my husband had the lump crab cake sandwich. My Mac and cheese was okay, it seemed as if the just put pasta in a bowl and put the cheese on top and put it in the oven. It did have a good flavor, but there was not a lot of cheese on the pasta itself, just hard, baked cheese on the top of the pasta itself. The crab cake was very good as well as the fries that came with it. The price of the crab cake sandwich was listed as marker price, which turned out to be $29. So, if this concer The waitress did not not stop back to check on us after we got our food, but luckily, everything was alright. We would consider stopping back in next time we are in the area.

Unfortunate cuz I like this place

The food orders took over an hour and and came out cold, mixed up, and incorrect. Some of the orders never came out. The waiter was excellent in attempting to make everything right, but ultimately the food wasn’t very good and the management terrible. The manager came out had the kitchen microwave some of the food and re-delivered and several items were still cold. If it wasn’t for the great wait staff would have to give them a one. Unfortunately this is the second time in a row for this place, too many great downtown options to not go somewhere else.

Poor Post Covid Dining Experience

My wife and I decided to have dinner out at the last minute. Walked up on Thursday night at 7:30 and had 30 minute wait. No worries we waited and got buzzer and it went off within 15 minutes. Hostess informed us Lobster was sold out since it was Lobster night and we said no problem. We got seated and waited a good 15 minutes before anyone bothered to greet us and once they did apologized for the long wait. Our server took our drink orders and asked if we wanted to go ahead and order so we did. We finally got our drinks but they went empty for way to long before we got refills. Well over and hour later and no food and over hearing the table next to us got the wrong thing and were told the kitchen was running 45 minutes behind we really became worried and requested to speak with a manager. The manager came over and offered every excuse possible why they were so slow with there service (it was lobster night, busy, return from covid) Stop making so many excuses and just say sorry. Maybe stop seating people if you can't provide proper service.

Nice meal

Nothing special, but a good meal. Food came out very quick which to me means it is all ready made, gave the impression it was not freshly cooked. Had the fish tacos which were good and the pulled pork sandwich .

I went to eat on Saturday 2/4/23( Brunch) . I don’t like to comment. But this time I will. The Buffalo Chicken sale is the worst. Normally Restaurant deep fried panko chicken breast and toasted on Buffalo sauce .. this Cheff , put on my salad 4 tiny pieces of chicken nuggets and toasted on Buffalo sauce. Shame on the Cheff for $16 dollars . And I told the waitress that they should specify better in the menu. I’ve been working in The industry before . ( that’s why I don’t comment) Since the new management took charge (owner ) everything is going Down hill . I’ve living in this town for 18 yrs . I’ve never see this on Brewers alley.

Really??? I can make a better fish taco!!

We went today, Tuesday for lunch. Not busy at all and we read the reviews and viewed the photos in choosing this lunch spot. BBQ pulled pork was good as reviewed and everything else was average at best. The fish and chips was one piece of fish (all the photos are of two) but a large piece. Certainly not fresh or breaded there and the fries were average. The fish tacos were bland. A piece of fish in the dry taco shell and a blob of coleslaw on it. Nothing like the photo. The fish was as good as Gorton's!!! haha, and why would you offer coleslaw as a side option when that is all that is on the taco?? I can make better at home and more tasty. The potato soup was average. My pet peeve is when staff remove and appy without asking. The fried pickles were good as was the dipping sauce. With the taco being so bad, I would have put the pickle dipping sauce on it and finished the pickles but gone without a word from the staff. The pilsner beer and IPA beer were good. So have a beer but don't bother eating at Brewer's alley.

Overall bad service

This restaurant was picked based on the menu and the reviews. However our experience was far from the what other reviewers said. We waited an hour for our food. There were 2 other tables that came in after us (there was 4 of us) and received their food before we did. Incredible. I watched as other diners had to get up and get their own utensils and appetizer plates. When our food finally came it was lukewarm like it had been sitting under heat lamps for a period of time. A busser cleaned off our dishes without first asking if we were done eating(we were) or if he could take our plates. The busser walked away and left a dirty dish on our table from another table he had just cleaned. Not sure what happened but the experience was not what we hoped for.

Good service, decent food

Was looking forward to the fish and chips. The fish was good, wish it was two, but simply one. The chips were string fries, similar to a steak and shake or Freddy’s fries, and they were fine. We also had surf and turf, and the steak was under cooked, but good size steak and the lobster was good. Also the chicken wrap was solid. Overall, decent, left hungry, but good place to socialize and get some bar food.

Amazing Rehearsal Dinner!

We had our son and future daughter in law's rehearsal dinner at Brewer's Alley. I had never been to Brewer's Alley, we are from Alabama. I chose it from reading reviews and from emailing Jackie, who is in charge of handling events they have there, back and forth. Jackie is amazing! So responsive. She went over and above in answering all my questions and reassuring me the dinner would be exactly like I envisioned it. Everything exceeded my expections! The atmosphere was beautiful, the service top notch, and the food was delicious! We had guest from the Eastern Shore and they all said the crab cake was the best they ever had! Have your party here!! Jackie and her team are amazing! They went over and above for me! Everything was absolutely perfect!

Friendly staff, good food, decent price

Stopped for an early dinner on a Friday. Staff was very friendly and attentive and we were seated quickly. Between the three of us, we ordered the Pastrami Reuben with Fries, Pete's Pulled Pork BBQ with Fries, and the Brew House BBQ Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes. The portion size was very good for each of them. Would return again.

Realizing it's St. Patrick's Day we still give this poor rating. Service was slow. Husband's corned beef and cabbage meal was a big slab of unsliced, corned beef, on the fatty side. They couldn't serve it sliced because it was so fatty. The accompanying pittance of cabbage, potatos and carrots could fit in the palm of my hand. My onion soup was typical. The Irish Egg Rolls were okay. Best part about meal was my 5oz draft. I only drink that little so it was perfect.

Great food and GF options

Halley took such good care of us! We were early for our reservation, but were able to be seated. My husband thought the beer he had and the beer he tasted were so good we bought a 6 pack (in bottles) to take home. Halley also helped us out with local attractions to visit. I was very happy that there were multiple gluten free options even though I had the great German Chocolate cake for dessert. I plan on taking our friends up there the next time we visit.

Hefeweizen a must!!

Came for a bday celebration consisting of the daily special of craft beer, a growler refill and an appetizer. With tip expect to drop almost $50. Can’t do that all the time but it was a very unrushed time. Jordan, our waitress, was very attentive.
