Exceptional food and service at a reasonable price. Each course a delight - and there were many! Paired wines worked well. A hidden gem.

Each course separately was impeccable - flavour, technical execution, portion size - but together they were a masterpiece. Service was also exceptional - small restaurant, very cosy, great wine pairing. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.
Outstanding, been in Paris for a week, just arrived. The BEST meal and service since arrived. They time the reservations perfectly,
Following advice from other trip advisor reviews we had reserved our table & were very pleased that we had done so as during the time we were there eating our meal 3 lots of people who hadn't booked were turned away. This was not a...meal I would have wanted to miss! We have lived in France for over 16 years and have enjoyed some wonderful meals and this one is up there with the best of them. The restaurant is small and charming with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. the lady serving tables was frinedly and helpful. The menu wasn't extensive but was well put together, offered a most interesting choice of dishes and everything was freshly cooked. Presentation was excellent and the flavours just wonderful, so intense, a real taste experience. All this for the price of just 33€, truly excellent value for money. I can't praise it enough.More
We decided to try Islo as it is the number 1 restaurant on trip advisor. It most certainly did not disappoint. There was just the one menu on offer, with several choices and everything was cooked to perfection. The restaurant is run by a delightful...husband and wife team. They have no other staff and there are not many tables. I should think booking is essential. We all had foie gras to start, a huge portion and absolutely delicious. For the main course, one of us had the duckling, one of us chose the fish and one of us the pork. Each of us thought we had chosen the best. We made room for deserts which were also delicious. If you are in the area do try to visit this lovely restaurant. We are only sorry that we don’t have time to make a return visit.More
This was the first dinner we had in our L’isle Sur la Sorgue 5 day visit. Very charming atmosphere with the nicest service ! My duck was delicious as was everything else! Great dessert. Friendliest service on our entire trip! Prices very good and I...highly recommend!More
Hidden Gem is a phrase that crops up very often in restaurant reviews, but in the case of Islo, it is 100% accurate. A little bit off the beaten track and most certainly a treasure. The appetisers were almost too pretty to eat and the...mains and deserts were equally well presented. No English on the menu, but with my handful of French words and the very friendly lady running the place managing a handful of English words, coupled with Google translate, we got by. In summary, great food, great service...try it.More
Not being situated on the center we found it by chance, menu at 32Euros, starter, main course and desert. Nice presentation and good quality products. Relaxed atmosphere we recommend it.
Four of us off season in October. We stumbled upon Islo at about 6:30 pm and asked for a 7 pm reservation. Even off season we saw people turned away later. The waitress was very pleasant and enthusiastic and let me use my rusty French....All aspects of the meal were fabulous. The men did the menu and the women chose appetizers only. Some sharing after that... mostly at the tasty dessert. About 75 euros per couple with wine and tip.More
The Islo is situated close to the main square, small restaurant with limited number of tables, booking is essential. Great menu and the most amazing food. If you can you must eat here. Such amazingly tasty food. Excellent, happy to recommend.
Can not recommend, they did not seat us and restaurant was almost empty, did not give an explanation why. Spent my money elsewhere, recommend you do the same.
We visited Islo on our last evening in L'Isle sur la Sorgue, and thank God we did! Amazing food, amazing wine, amazing service. By far the best place we have eaten during our trip across the south of France. Can't recommend enough!
Well worth a visit ! Best to reserve in advance & check opening times Take the fix price menus - starter , main & desert.
French cuisine at it’s best. Thoroughly recommend for a special night out. The waitress was lovely and the service was excellent.
This restaurant was recommended by the owner of a hotel in another town, told us it was small but special and it was. We had a wonderful dinner, loved this restaurant, warm and cozy and the woman taking the orders could not have been nicer,...did not speak much English but we were able to communicate just fine. I thought the food was excellent and very reasonably priced. We made a reservation and noticed all the tables were booked and walk ins were turned away so be sure to make a reservation.More
