I've been to Linda's plenty of times for Drinks with friends, and ordered some small plates to snack on like Tots or Fries, but recently I went for Brunch for the first time. Linda's has a different feel during the day, maybe its the lighting,...or the intent in going there while it's still light outside, but what it doesn't lose is that intimate feeling that it has. Upon arrival we were informed it would be a couple minute wait, and that's all it was, they had a booth for us ready within just a few minutes. The service over all was mostly good, the servers/hostess were nice, accommodating, and more than willing to help. However towards the end of our meal there was long stretches where we were not checked on, so it took a bit longer than anticipated to get the quick. Overall though the service reliable, and welcoming. The food itself was above average, very typical American Breakfast, I went with the Chicken Fried Steak, in itself was very average. Overall it was a bit soggy, the breading came right off, and the gravy was decent. The hash browns, and eggs were cooked fantastically, and my partner enjoyed her dish. The food was relatively cheap for Seattle, and the portions are just right. I'd come back to Linda's day or night.More

While walking down town from Capitol hill we came across Linda’s Tavern, with its Cowboy-themed and ranch like décor complete with a Buffalo head above the bar. It’s a real fabulous neighborhood bar serving the cheapest drinks in town since 1994. Lots of colourful regulars...and a cool collection of bartenders. They have an old jukebox (my favorite) with a great selection of tunes. Apparently in the day it was a regular spot for Kurt Cobain (RIP) to visit. This must also be one of the last places in Seattle that still gives free books of matches. There is even a collection of game machines for the unsociable types, on the upper level at Linda’s Tavern. Our adult beverages of choice were a seven and Seven, a very nice dark Ale and a couple of bourbon’s as chasers. TIP: Always read the signs. “Hippies use side door “.More

My wife and I popped in here during our recent time in Seattle...wanted to see the place where Kurt Cobain was supposedly last seen alive--had to pay homage in our way. And the upside is that Linda's is a great bar...lots of cozy seating...lots of...chill and helpful staff...lots of good pub grub...and lots of good stuff to sip. There are animal heads on the walls--the best being a bison head behind the bar. Also a good jukebox with lots of toe-tapping tunes playing while we enjoy the passage of time. Two thumbs up from us...check it out--you will like.More

We went here for breakfast, which this totally doesn't seem like a place to do that but it is and it's amazing. Hands down legitimately The.BEST. Hollandaise sauce I've ever had in my 31 years of existence. If we didn't have reservations the following day...for breakfast, I so would've came back here and had the exact same thing.More

We loved Linda’s Tavern.... in fact we went twice because we loved it so much. The beer was great, the staff were friendly and the juke box was pretty good. Coupled with that, they’ve got some arcade games which kept me entertained for a while....Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Capitol Hill.More

Linda's looks like a typical bar but outback there is a little patio that's great for a weekend brunch. Menu is limited but food is good. Pls. note that breakfast is only served on weekends. During the week this is a bar. Prices are ok.

The service was extraordinarily slow, we were at a table and literally were never served. We were told at the bar we couldn't order food there wither, and it wasn't busy enough to justify the low level of service. The guy at the door was...also extremely rude checking IDs. Everyone had an attitude, and the atmosphere was really loud and obnoxious. Good margarita though.More

At around 11 on a Saturday we found street parking within a block. The place was packed and a few people appeared to be waiting, but they had a table for two for us. The service was excellent, the coffee was acceptable, and breakfast was...fast, tasty, and came in portions that were sane. Huevos Rancheros vary as much as any item I ever order, and these were again somewhat different, but tasty and enjoyable. They had way more refried beans than one normally gets, came with a modest portion of very good hash brown potatoes, and the over easy eggs were perfectly over easy. I found them light on the salsa, but there were several options of hot sauce on the table so that worked out fine. My wife had the Really Special Linda's breakfast, eggs, hash browns, toast, and bacon. The Special, as opposed to Really Sp.,comes w/o meat. She likes bacon crisp and pronounced the bacon very good. The music seemed a bit loud for breakfast for old fogies like us, and the general feeling is whatever the opposite of elegance might be, but it was a very good breakfast and came very quickly as breakfast should, which surely isn't a given when every table is packed.More

Just kidding. I sat on a busted bar stool, drank tasteless Rainier lager out of the can (with a straw), and got into an argument with my husband. On the positive side, it was dry and relatively warm inside.
