Went there for dinner one night as they were just down the street from the hotel. We arrived aerly as we didn't have a reservation and they got us right in. The wait staff was very good and they Maitre d recommended the Porck Chops. We ordered the French Onion soup as an appetizer. It tasted very good but doen't come with the topping of cheese on it or bread at the bottom like some restaurants do. When the porck chops arrived it was three together bone in chops stuffed with sausage. I was thinking that it would be a thick cut chop but this was huge and had onion rings on top too boot. It was great and even though I was uable to eat it all, we still had the bread pudding for dessert. We took the porck shops back to the hotel since we had a mini fridge and micro in the room. Made for a nice lunch the next day. I would highly recomment this restaurant, you won't be disapointed.

AMAZING service!! Cannot say enough! My family dined here for lunch with my 2 little boys (one who is 12 months old and very active). The staff there was so completely warm and did not seem annoyed with us taking up so much space (stroller, high chair, and all our stuff!) The chef even came out and said hello and personally cut him and my other son up some apples and was just overwhelmingly kind! The food came out hot, quick and was so delicious!!! The wedge salad had a great twist and the chargrilled oysters were amazing! And the wine list was fantastic. My dad got the beer flight which was great too. It was a perfect stop and highly recommend!! We will be back!

We were in the area looking for a place for an early lunch, they were just opening so decided to stop. They had a barbecue “shrimp Poor Boy” on the menu, so decided to try it. An amazing sandwich. They offered both “traditional “ and “Viet” style poor boys. I went for the Traditional Barbeque shrimp while my friends had the traditional grilled shrimp. There’s we’re good but all said that after tasting mine it was better. Service was great. It’ll be a lunch stop on future trip to this River City.

My husband and I had dinner at this restaurant last evening. The food was fabulous. My husband got oysters for appetizer and crayfish pasta dish. I ordered the beet salad and shrimp with grits.
Sadly we had an incident with our service that was not handled well. My salad was not served at same time as my husband’s oysters so we assumed waiter thought I was going to share. However he brought my salad with my husband’s entree. Again gave it a few minutes. When we asked about my entree, the waiter was very surprised and said I had not ordered it. We both clearly remember me ordering it.
He said he could add it to my order but it would be about 10 minutes. I am not a light eater so I needed my entree. It came about 5 minutes after my husband finished his.
Waiter did not even off more than an offhand apology but clearly thought I was at fault.
We have encountered mistakes at restaurants and know they happen. However the way this was handled was not okay.

This place looks good on paper…Cajun fusion food, good location, lively atmosphere. But our visit was very disappointing. Our waiter could kindly be described as confused. He was very slow getting our cocktails and mixed them up. We ordered the charcuterie board appetizer but it had barely been set down before our entrees also arrived. The food (crawfish pasta) was overly rich and not hot. We had to flag down our waiter to order wine ….which didn’t arrive until after we finished our meals. Terrible service ensured we won’t ever go back. And for the price we paid, we expected much better.

What a great restaurant. Service was terrific as was the food. I was with a coworker and we both started with the gumbo. Awesome. For main course I had the fried chicken and my coworker had the shrimp and grits. We enjoyed it. Only downside was the side dish of bacon/green beans. Awful! It was like eating canned green beans with the taste of liquid smoke. That dish I would avoid. Fortunately, the rest of the food and experience made up for it. I would definitely eat their again.

Almost everything they served us was a problem big or small. It started right away. My daughter ordered a glass of wine as a cocktail that showed up after the mains came., saying that hadn’t had a properly chilled bottle open.(They comped it at least). I ordered a crab cake over penne pasta in a creamy crawfish sauce. The pasta was mushy and it and the sauce came out room temperature from the kitchen. The crab cake was very salty. Right about the time we got our mains all the waitstaff disappeared into the kitchen for 10 minutes for some kind of a huddle and I had to eventually carry it to the kitchen to get anyones attention. The second try was hot but still with the mushy penne. The maitre d brought it over with big fanfare saying he had asked them to make me a fresh crab cake, but, this time it was not just salty, but also extremely dense (under heated). My son had barbecued shrimp, but he didn’t enjoy them also saying his food was salty. I got the impression that maybe key people were out or had left suddenly and maybe the third cook was in charge in a crises. My daughter did enjoy her oysters and the steaks people around us looked well prepared, so maybe the freshly grilled steaks, chicken, etc were the way to go. Was very disappointed considering all the fine reviews I had read.

I had never heard of this place despite numerous visits to NOLA, & just stumbled upon it. I left very full & satisfied. It was crowded for a Tuesday night but there was plenty of room at the bar, which was fine because I was alone. Rather than deciding on one appetizer & an entree, I ordered two appetizers (Alligator Creole & Ceviche of the day), a dozen raw oysters & the seafood gumbo. All were excellent. My least favorite item was the ceviche but only because I liked the other three so much, LOL. Oysters were sizable & had nice texture with just the right brine. Gator was outstanding, & the gumbo was as good as any I’ve had. For a cocktail, I’d strongly recommend a Smoky Old Fashioned (infused with cherry wood smoke, it doesn’t overwhelm it but gives it a nice distinction). Service was slightly slow (although very friendly & helpful) but the place was pretty full & I don’t like to be in a hurry when I’m dining out anyway. I’ll certainly be back.

The chargrilled oysters are a MUST!!! We loved our entire meal, but would have to recommend starting with the oysters. Our meals were the blackened fish of the day served on a bed of mixed vegetables, as well as the fried catfish. Both entrees were good, but we preferred the blackened fish of the day. Service was extremely fast, staff was friendly - we stumbled across this restaurant and we were so glad we did! Would definitely recommend!

Excellent waitstaff (Stewart) but the Alligator Creole appetizer was tough (more like chicken gizzards than breast).
Recommended special (Mahi mahi) was amazing but Chicken Grand Mere was oversalted and both chicken and okra were difficult to cut. Maybe it just wasn’t a good night for the fried items.
Recommended bread pudding was also amazing.

Since we didn't have a reservation we went early (when they opened) and were able to sit at the bar. Neat place with great drinks and food! We had the sparkling Bliss and a glass of wine to drink. The chargrilled oysters, blackened fish and gulf seafood platter to eat. Everything was delicious! Highly recommended!

We had a table of eight for a business dinner. The entire evening was fantastic. Joshua was our server and he was great.
The steaks are served on a VERY hot stone and keep sizzling as you eat them. It was almost too hot for half of it but this is what I would get if I ever go here again. SOOO good!

Always wanted to taste true Cajun cuisine and my chance finally came when had a business day in New Orleans and at only a 100m from the hotel Galliano Restaurant was a God blessing.
Friendly bar atmosphere, an inspiring menu and tasty food that felt like home cooked. I liked the Gumbo and the Shrimp n'Gritts, and the Fried Pudding was a nice culinary surprise.
I definitely recommend to try a meal at Galliano.

Really good service. Had two appetizers, two mains and two drinks. Appetizers where just average, had the shrimp and pork. Both very sweet. We both had the filet steak which was very good but for $10 per side for potatoes and $7 for a sauce on top of the $55 steak made it a very expensive meal. Total bill was $240!

We were disappointed in our experience at Galliano. We had to ask for beverage refills, steak knives and corrections to our order. All of the requests took an inordinate amount of time and it was surprising to have such poor service when the restaurant was not busy and staff was not over taxed. Our server never stopped by to ask how our meal was and we kept having to ask other staff to help or to ask for our server. The steaks and appetizers were great. The pasta was flavorless, the shrimp cocktail was not very good. Overall, we would not return here.
