I have come here for years - it is always spot on Italian and a sure thing for any occasion. Consistent every time. The only drawback is parking.

My wife and I visited here after a ?10 year hiatus. Food, service, atmosphere still superb, and nicely unchanged from the "good old days" of yore. I had a red snapper special which was every bit as good as you would get on the coast...like in Florida. We were pleased to see that they had created an outdoor patio last fall which was pretty nice.More

I am not exaggerating when I say that the Tagliatelle was the best-tasting pasta I have had in years! And the Caesar salad was outstanding too. The pasta was cooked perfectly. There was a variety of mushrooms. The sauce was rich and creamy. I would...definitely order that again. The romaine in the salad was crisp. The dressing was delicious. I just can't say enough good things about that meal.More

Traveling to Door County and we made sure to stop in Madison at Lombardino's. This restaurant was opened in the 1950's by a family member and incredibly is still in business. We stopped in during COVID so there was a limited menu. We had dinner...salads, followed by Bolognesse and Eggplant. Both were delicious. The eggplant is the best I have ever had. Kevin was our server and shared a few stories he had heard about the original owners, the Lombardino's. It was a lovely evening.More

We have always enjoyed Lombardino's during regular times. We tried their take-out service during the COVID pandemic. The menu was limited but everything we had was great, the prices were reasonable, and the pick-up system was really easy and efficient. Highly recommended even now during...stressful times.More

We were in a group of ten with a reservation. Dishes were very tasty and well thought out. We all enjoyed our entrees, service and dessert Tiramisu too!

Pizzas are thin crust, hand tossed. Just ghd right spices make you want more.. even when you are full. Others in our group loved the eggplant dish. Raved about it past and present. House salads were had by all. Crisp lettuce and wonderful house dressing.

I have been to this restaurant several times, but this last time I was disappointed! They used to serve well sized portions, not big (although it should, Italians don't eat like french), but you would be satisfied. This time two of us (we were 4...celebrating my son's birthday) ordered the Salmon entree of their special menu and it was tiny mini meal, a very small piece of the fish over a few small leaves of spinach and a few EMPTY shells of mussels! The other two dishes were just ok, nothing that would make you remember and make you want to go back.More

My son and I had an excellent meal at Lombardinos this week during restaurant week. For $25 they offered three choices in each category. For starters we had a Ribolitta soup and and a salad with shrimp and orange segments with a great vinaigrette on...a bed of interesting lettuces, frisee/radicchio/chicory. For mains my son had a pasta Carbonara and the doneness of the pasta was perfectly al dente. The egg/parm/guanciale coating was super tasty. I had chunks of fork tender smoked pork shoulder with wilted greens on a bed of creamy polenta. Some of the braising juices helped tie the dish together. For dessert we both had small warm pots of a sort of flourless chocolate cake. None of this food was earth shattering on an inventiveness level but it always provides what I look for. Authentic, simple, rustic food, well prepared at a fair price. This is not your grandparents Italian/American spaghetti/meatballs restaurant but what I believe to be a true representation of how food is cooked in Italy.More

I can't say enough good things about Lombardino's. We went during restaurant week and ordered from that menu. All 3 courses were amazing. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was cozy. We appreciated that they know how to serve a bottle of wine. So...many restaurants nowadays have no idea. Our waiter at Lombardino's presented the bottle to us before opening it and poured a taste before pouring both glasses. Thank you for that! It was our first time here but we will definitely be back.More
