This is the one of the worst restaurants I've ever dined at. We thought the place was closed when we arrived because it was so dark and the door so heavy. I wish it had been closed. The waitress recommended the herb roasted chicken claiming...it would be tender, flavorful and delicious. It was overcooked, hard as a rock, lacked flavor and was the worst chicken I've ever had. The baby back ribs my sister and mom ordered tasted like some kind of beef stew - not real ribs.. My son hated the Margarita pizza. The meal was $130 and a complete waste. The service was also lacking. We had been driving for hours and we starving and I didn't know what would happen if I complained or sent the food back. This visit was so bad I didn't go to any other restaurants while in Madison because I was so disgusted. I'd rather have peanut butter and jelly than eat here again.More

Stopped here on our trip through Madison and it was one of the best meals we’ve had in a while. Food was really delicious, high quality ingredients, and reasonably priced for the meal. Pot roast served with sautéed spinach, mashed potatoes, asparagus and roasted carrots...was delicious! Blue cheese dressing on the wedge salad was some of the best I’ve had. Battered cheese curds served with Sriracha / ranch ...OMG. Lastly the mousse desserts...we got salted caramel and cookies and cream were terrific. Server was attentive.More

We ordered for pickup but they did away with curbside so we had to go in for our order. Food is good for take out but it would have been better enjoyed hot out of their kitchen-not complaining due to Covid. We enjoyed our steaks,...they use high quality meat and were cooked perfectly. For dessert, we ordered the crème brulee. They were mouth watering. We enjoyed our holiday meal!More

We met extended family for dinner. Although the service was slow and the food middling, we still enjoyed the experience.

Excellent Poke Bowls! Sadly, this fine establishment has CLOSED TEMPORARILY. Bonfyre was the best restaurant for many miles on the South Side. I hope they’ll be able to reopen soon.

Went for dinner last night and will never go back. When I am paying $44.00 for a steak I expect the cook on it to be correct. The server was great and took both over cooked steaks back, however the owner took it upon himself...to bring mine back and tell me my cook on it was fine and he would not fix it... it was beyond rude. I will never return to his establishment if he thinks that is proper restaurant etiquette. Our server was great but I felt completely sorry for her. This man should definitely not own a restaurant or get a lesson on how to treat customers again.More

The food was tasty as well. Good wine is a little high per glass, but just need to know that when ordering from the bar.

I had heavy hor d overs here last night after a family wedding rehearsal. The service was pretty good. The shrimp cocktail was huge and the thai chicken pizza was tasty too.

Brunch with relatives including children, service was attentive but not overwhelming. I had Eggs Benedict with creamed spinach, tomatoes and my husband had the crabcake benedict- both were exceptional. We will definitely go back for dinner when we visit again. Reservations are a must.

We were visiting friends in Madison and they brought us here. Comfy booth, very nice server although service was a bit slow. Three of us had the walleye. Our friends love walleye but they were very disappointed. This was my first experience with it and...I thought it was good but not remarkable. Doubt our friends will be going back.More

West Side is not a desert of dining...Bonfyre is a great place with outdoor seating if the weather is cooperating. Its beltline location makes it easy for groups to find. But it is not so close that road noise is an issue. The menu changes,...give it a try.More
