Ok Hotdogs and Fries but nothing special. I was recommended to try here by a good friend of mine. Its right on the boardwalk and Nathans has been here for over 100 years, so this is a big draw factor. It gets very busy so expect long waits for your food. I ordered 1 Large Bacon Cheese Fries $5.89 and 1 Bacon Cheese Dog $6.49. With the sales tax it came to $13.46 so it was pretty expensive (£10.55 GBP🇬🇧). It hard to find an empty seat outside but we were lucky. The staff gave me a normal size portion of fries instead of the large size. The food was ok but nothing special for the price. Just average.

If you visited Coney Island without going to Nathan's, did you really go? I'm a huge fan of hot dogs, no way was I leaving Coney Island without getting one from Nathan's. Is it the world's greatest hot dog......meh, I think not. But it's good. Really wish they would have had onions for the dog but the deli mustard was just fine. The dog was salty, juicy, cooked perfectly, had a great snap, and was presented on fresh bun. Though I did not order them, here they offer a wide variety of clams, burgers, and even frog legs(that's not a typo). The line is insanely long on weekends even in non peak hours. It moves incredibly slow for the number of cashiers they have. Though friendly to me, the cashiers looked pretty miserable and don't move very fast. After dealing with the clientele, who could blame them?

the place is nice, the view is pleasant, there are quite a few tables which allows many people to be able to sit down.
The line is long but the wait is still reasonable.
regarding the service... to review, we feel that not speaking English we have to quickly say what we want. the waiters barely look at us and want to quickly finish with us. staff not very friendly.
the lunch otherwise was good, of course typical American but we are also here for that

There was some hype but sadly it missed the mark for us. I guess they thrive off the passing one of trade because the staff were surly teens, the food expensive & taste wasn’t great. The chips (fries) for example & onion rings just tasted mainly of rancid cooking oil. The hot dog looked and tasted no better than ones you can buy cold off the shelf at Walmart!
The milkshake was nice but took 15mins to be given so we got our food first & basically had to stand at the counter. When I dared asked the server how much longer will the milkshake take she snatched the receipt out my hand and barked ‘you have only ordered one’. Yes I replied & we are still waiting. She muttered something to her colleague & 5 mins after that someone came over & slammed the milkshake on the counter with not a word said.

This concession is a slap in the face to people who want a pleasant experience. Waiting for your food takes what seems like an hour, and the staff doesn't seem to care about anything. It's a typical business where the owner never shows up, so it's run horribly. This is not what I call enjoyable. The food is massively overpriced, too.

This is still the one and only Nathan's that all others are judged by. This is the only place where I will spend more than $5.00 for a hot dog. The meal here is very pricey but it is the whole experience of eating in such an iconic restaurant and enjoying the food right near the beach. I love eating outside and sharing the tables with seagulls.
The food is excellent and everything is so fresh. The turnover is so quick that everything comes out hot and sizzling. The fries are the best in the industry. Nothing is better than Nathan's French Fries.
The service was really friendly and they got the order out quickly. I highly recommend coming here when you are visiting Coney Island.

I guess you do this to say you've had a Coney Island hot dog... There was nothing about the experience that was memorable for good reasons. The service was horrendous. This is clearly a business that recognizes that most of its customers only ever stop there once. I expected a crappy hot dog, but didn't expect that a business that has reportedly been serving customers for over 100 years would be so disorganized. What a shame.

Worth the wait !!!!!!
Stopped here on a Sunday afternoon, boardwalk wasn’t that busy so the queue wasn’t too bad and only waited around 5 minutes. Definitely worth the wait, I like hotdogs and this one was amazing !!!! Could’ve easily eaten another.
Loaded fries were good as well and all in a world famous setting.

Incredibly long queue for tasteless food. The fries were still soft, the chilli cheese had no taste and the hot dog was disappointing despite having onions and sauerkraut. At least the food wasn't that expensive.

Rude staff who were as useless as a chocolate teapot. One member of staff single handedly ensured that we would never return to a Nathan’s anywhere in the future. She was incredibly rude and had no customer service skills whatsoever. If the grey shirt she was wearing meant she was a supervisor I quite frankly have no idea what supernatural powers she used to get there speaking to and about customers the way she did. Luckily the manager was helpful but the store would probably benefit from staff members that brought customers in instead of making sure that first experiences of the chain are also last and only experiences.

Nathans has been around ever since the inception of Coney Island. Serving up fast eats for the people who visit the Coney Island boardwalk, the spicy curry hotdog was my fav off the menu and they are the best when it comes to hot dogs in Newyork.
A must visit if you’re at Coney Island !

Me & the boys from 13th. Avenue in Dyker Hights Brooklyn would get together & 7 or 8 of us or more would fire up our Harley Davidson Sportsters and roar our way a couple of miles to Nathan's in Coney Island to feast on the outrageous Lobster Rolls + all the other delectable goodies. Back then, it was just a Rite of Passage. Sadly the Lobster Rolls today are just not the same. I don't know why, maybe it cost too much to make it the old way or maybe whoever made it back then is gone. Whatever the reason, it's very sad.

In all my trips to New York, including spending a month in Brooklyn back in 1972, I never made it to Coney Island. So we hopped the subway and off we went. Didn't know midweek September that the rides were shut down but that was okay because we weren't planning to do any rides anyway. Before hitting up this Nathan's location we hit the sand and got our feet wet while checking out the rain clouds out over the water. We got the regular hot dog and added the condiments we wanted (that they had). The bun was dry and not particularly soft, the dog itself was dried out, no snap to the skin. Perhaps it was the lack of people on the Boardwalk and, therefore, the lack of hot dog turnover, so we ended up with one that had been sitting for a while. Whatever the food was worse than underwhelming. Additionally the service was basically one of disinterest and indifference. Maybe I'll give Nathan's another try at whatever location if I see there is greater turnover of their dogs.

It's a New York staple, the famous Nathan's hot dogs...I couldn't imagine coming to New York and not tasting these hot dogs like in the movies. I favored the Coney Island one with the afternoon beach experience.
The service is fast and efficient like in fast food. The waitress was no more pleasant than unpleasant. We had the classic hot dogs and frankly they are very good with good fries. My son had a burger which met his caloric expectations. No room inside but tables outside. We had a beautiful day so we were able to relax in peace.

This is another New York classic. All we were interested for was their hot dogs. We’ve tried those prepared in Coney Island boardwalk location, 1 classic with mustard, 1 with chili. Good bun, succulent dog, nice chili sauce. You got to try it; no Coney Island visit is completed without it. I know it’s a matter of taste, but I prefer Gray’s.
