This was totally worth the short trip from Manhattan to get to. The donuts are fresh and on large size and cheeper than Donkin Donuts. . So many different types of donuts make it hard to just get one. The pistachio , Samoa, and toasted coconut is what I settled for my first trip. They also make breakfast sandwiches very reasonably priced way way cheeper than you would get in Manhattan. A truly original old style donut shop. Also the more you purchase the lower the price is.

Atmosphere/layout: more of a bakery than just a regular donut shop; offers bagels, breads, donuts, muffins, and pastries Service: Quick Food/drink: Glazed donut (good with a touch of lemon taste)

If you are a doughnut fan, this is the place. Moe was already making doughnuts in the neighborhood before opening his own storefront. Our favorites are the overstuffed jellies, Boston cream, chocolate glazed raspberry jelly, samoa, and the doughnoli. I have to warn you that the doughnoli has to be shared, it's large and loaded with marscapone and mini-chocolate chips (just $2.50!!) They also make good egg sandwiches and decent coffee at a great price. Highly recommend them! The only negative is that some of the doughnuts are too sugary.

I took a dozen of donut to eat with my family!! We loved The "french cruller" and the "cronut" the other donut was a bit dense, more like a cake than a donut , but they were tasty too !!

Channeling an old-school Coffee Shop vibe instead of the high-polish refinement of Du’s, Dun-Well, Doughnut Plant or so many other modern Doughnutries it would seem that Moe’s Doughs Donut Shop had occupied the corner of McGuinness and Nassau for much longer than three and a half years, but as a visit on Thursday showed the antique appearance is just a front for shelves stocked with some of Brooklyn’s finest fried Pastry. Rumored to be operated by a former baker from Peter Pan, a 2013 visit showing the 1950s Manhattan Avenue landmark to be decent but more a product of nostalgia than anything truly noteworthy, it was before departing for New York that an order was phoned into Moe’s Doughs requesting twelve items be set aside, an arrival just past 4:00pm finding everything boxed and ready to go at an all-inclusive cost of just $23.50. Not the sort of place to fuel its own Social Media stream or hire a Public Relations firm, the location in hipster-central Greenpoint and word-of-mouth enough to see the longer-than-wide shop sold out of their most desirable items by noon on most days, it was with boxes and bags taken to the car that a tasting soon progressed beginning in Brooklyn and moving north through New Haven to Mystic, the Black & White Cookie fluffy and moist with frosting as opposed to icing while the Jumbo Cinnamon Roll weighed in at about 12 ounces of springy dough and sugary shellac that was not the least bit oily. Taking on both Cake and raised Donuts, many of Moe’s Doughs ideas eschewing Instagram-aesthetics in the same manner that Peter Pan has for years, it was in follow-up to a few bites of the Roll that a pale green ring rolled in crushed Pistachios was tasted, everything about the texture speaking to ideal frying time while sweetness was restrained, the same to be said of a Blueberry Cake Ring though the signature Rainbow was a little more sugary and evidence that ownership is at least aware of modern dining trends. Self-selecting approximately 3/4 of the order and allowing Moe to fill in the dozen it was as Pizza was being readied at BAR that an eggy Cruller topped in Frosting was sampled, that same Buttercream forming the center of a hefty Chocolate “Volcano” that reminisced the flavors of an Oreo Cookie while the Boston Cream and Apple Crumb were both fluffy and stuffed – the former by Custard and the latter with Fruit and Streusel. Discovering a plain Glazed Donut later on, the novelty a bit lost at this point but consistency still up to snuff nearing 9:00pm, it was unfortunate that Caramel atop the Cheesecake had hardened to the point of being inedible as the Cream Cheese dusted in Graham Cracker was creamy and delicious, though not to the same degree as a flattened Yeast round wrapped around Chocolate Chips plus housemade Ricotta and Mascarpone filling.

Feels like a classic diner, less rushed and hectic then Peter Pan but equally as good. We sat at the counter, had a coffee and donut then got bagels to go. The donuts and bagel were really good, and you can't beat the prices which are much less than other parts. Everyone has their favorite place and if you are visiting why not try them all? We found you either need to go early or a bit after 9am when they start bringing out more fresh varieties. We sat there just watching trays of new donuts come out. I have to say for people that got some diner food, it doesn't seem like they cook that often and this is primarily a donut/coffee place, maybe plan to have brunch somewhere else.

Dozens and dozens of fresh doughnuts to choose from. Try the Volcano variety which is available in several flavors. Jelly doughnuts are wonderful, as are all the others. Tough choice when in Greenpoint between Moe's and Peter Pan. Usually end up buying at both.

So I first discovered rainbow cake doughnut on Facebook advertisement by Peter pans bakery after looking it up and researching this during my trip in NYC last week. It turns out that i read up on reviews the guy who used to work at peter pans bakery has now opened up Moe Doughs Donughnut who sells the rainbow cake doughnuts which everyone keeps talking about and is located on 126 Nassau Ave. Brooklyn,NY 11222, because the rainbow cake doughnut is well known I only paid them a visit for this and to my surprise it's not just food colouring it's actually flavored using Red Velvet, Sour Cream, Strawberry, and Pistachio Cake Donuts ingredients. I brought 15 at one go and 10 end up being offered to my partner students who were based in wall street and the other 5 brought back to london and shared this with my friends and family, don't get me wrong other doughnut looked tasty so I ended up getting red velvet cake doughnut and ate the strawberry cake doughnut too. Prices were remarkable and good value too and if you compare to london prices you just can't compare. I definitely highly recommend to go there. It's not far from Nassau subway about 5 mins walk I have attached some photos too. Hope this helps

First time at Moe's Doughs Donut Shop, gotta go to Moes! Moe was the baker at Peter Pan Donut, an institutional Brooklyn doughnut spot. Don't hate on Moe, do you think its the first time this has happened? Wolfgang Steak, the owner worked at Peter Luger and lets not talk about all the NY Pizza places. I walk in with my son and see the Peter Pan signature Red Velvet doughnut, Nah, I'm in the mood for something funky so I try the Samoa doughnut. That's right, My favorite girl scout cookie is now in a doughnut form. My son went for the maple-bacon doughnut. Rock on Moe! My doughnut was yummy, it really did taste like the cookie. This place at one time was probably a small diner, there is a counter with a few fixed stools. It's a nice spot to relax and have a cuppa coffee and a doughnut. Thanks Moe and good luck in your new venture
