So most important food was good, welcoming staff and charming back yard.
Where it lacked was we overheard a waiter telling the next table about the specials and a rib eye was one of them. My husband was craving a steak and there weren't any on the menu and our waiter never mentioned any specials. 2nd we ordered pasta which should always come with bread for sopping up a good sauce but come to find you must order bread at a charge which I know some restaurants now do and I wouldn't mind if it was good but it had no crunch felt like an industrial bread that was sitting inside a plastic bag and became chewy. Finally we ordered dessert but waited over 20min and decided to just cancel.
May give it another shot just to compare an off night.

What a great find.
Wanted to get out of Manhattan for the day. Came across this gem in Brooklyn.
Food was sublime.
Staff so good. Helping with suggestions, not just about food choices but what to do in the area.
Unfortunately the courtyard was booked out, as it was a beautiful spring day and would have been lovely to sit there and enjoy such delicious offerings. But no wonder.
So happy we had the opportunity to experience the generosity of Frankies 457.

Went with a couple of friends, great service and ambience. Basically had everything on the menu and it was great. Loved the appetizers and the pasta. The best part the desserts, definitely have to try the red wine prunes with mascarpone cheese my favorite.

Went to celebrate a promotion with reservations for indoors. It was cold with windows open and no heat. We said several times we were cold to no avail. Every time a server came to the table we had to put on our masks. The couple we were with ordered a steak for 2 and although cooked properly was suitable for one at a cost of $100. I went there a year ago before COVID during the summer and they didn’t have any air conditioning. Not worth any further attempts for just Ok food and uncomfortable conditions.

Have eaten here many times in the evening but decided to go for lunch today with husband and we had things to plan and discuss so we thought we would do it over a nice lunch. Pulled the laptop out to begin our planning (note; there were 10 people in the restaurant) and we were told they have a "no laptop policy"! If we hadn't already ordered we would have left. Another 2 gents came in that were obviously working and pulled their laptop to be told the same thing - they were lucky enough to be able to leave and the Manager called them Morons on their way out (behind their back, of course). From regular customers that often also take our family and live nearby spending a tidy sum, we will not be returning, Food is very good but overpriced. Service is never very good so today sealed it for us!

We came here for lunch on a friend's advice and, boy, are we glad we took that tip. The food was delicious!!! Everything they brought to the table was soooo good! The meatballs with pine nuts & raisins are to die for as was my eggplant marinara. My wife had the pappardelle with lamb ragu & loved it. We also ordered the special semolina bread to wipe up the gravy on everything. . They brought it with a dish of olive oil as well. WOW. We each had a glass of wine with the meal. We finished sharing a creme Brule and some coffees. We can't wait to come back for dinner. Service was excellent throughout.

We went with family and friends while visiting Brooklyn. Very pricey for mediocre food. We enjoyed our company, but his husband and they're both agreed the food was not great. Very basic, very expensive for what it was. Our waitress was good and the ambiance is nice, but the food was very pricey for pasta.

I am only speaking for my meal as my family was happy with their meal. I ordered the chicken parmesan and it is the worst meal I have ever had in NYC. It was the texture. It was not a natural texture and horrible to chew. I had never experienced anything like this. I did not send it back as I thought it might be just one side
of the chicken but it was the whole thing. Because of my experience I will not be returning.

Unbelievable menu. Delicious olive oil has been a staple in our apartment so we had to visit. We also order pizza from here often. Can’t complain about anything, wonderful meal. Service was a little interesting… not very knowledgeable about wine.. but still great!

Our server was excellent. The restaurant is really cute with good vibes. We were there for the meatballs and they were delicious. The wine was good too.

So disappointing. This place used to be so good. Very poorly executed. I won’t be back. When for example pastas are served in a lake of water it’s unacceptable.

From the wine to the apps, to entrees and dessert what a wonderful experience. Our server was gracious and attentive even though the place was very busy. Memorable.

Food, service, setting, and ambiance were all first class. The gnocchi were ethereal. The meatballs with raisins and pine nuts were tasty with a rich marinara sauce. The wine list was filled with young choices (a lot of 2018s) and the Chianti Classico we had with dinner had a good, medium body. House olive oil had an enjoyable peppery finish.
