We had an amazing time at this great restaurant where they truly make you feel like you are family.
From the moment we pulled up at the valet and we were greeted with a team of four valet attendants who opened each door for us, to walking in and speaking to the hostess, who quickly seated us at our table, and then not one, but two people of the restaurant management/ownership coming over to greet us and introduce themselves, we had a fabulous time.
The appetizers were absolutely amazing, we ordered four appetizers to share around the table, the baked clams were absolutely phenomenal and tasted super fresh and had great seasoning.
For dinner three out of the four of us ordered three different veal entrées. I have no idea where they get this veal from, but it was absolutely amazing. Extremely fresh, extremely well seasoned and tender.
The fourth entrée was filet mignon, which shared the same great characteristics of the veal, you could cut the meat with a butter knife.
For dessert, my personal recommendation is the chocolate mousse cake, a great way to combine two favorite chocolate delicacies.
Don’t forget if it’s someone’s birthday or anniversary to let them know as they will light a candle and sing for you.
As a bonus when they bring you the bill, they also bring a container that has the numbers 1 through 90 in it and you pick a number and then they shake the container and if you’re lucky number comes up, dinner is on the house.
You will not be disappointed from the personalized service, to the great menu selection, to the phenomenal bovine meat selection. We will be sure to come back the next time we are in the area.

I've ordered pasta and fish.
Always the best
(They cook the fish to my liking)
The waitstaff is very attentive!

Gargiulo’s has been in business since 1907 so you can be sure they are doing something right! We went there for dinner during the Christmas season and the space was beautifully decorated. We were warmly greeted and seated promptly. The menu is extensive and the portions are generous. We shared an appetizer of mussels and each of us ordered separate entrees. Everything was delicious and well prepared. We ordered wine by the glass, also very good and an adequate pour. Prices were comparable and we had a lovely dinner. There is an adjacent parking lot. I highly recommend!

Dinner with family and friends was like Sunday dinner at Mom's house. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable on the menu items and specials. Linguine with clam sauce was the favorite of the table that night. My wife and I ordered the broiled filet oreganata and we both enjoyed the well seasoned fish.
Haven't been to Gargiulo's since we moved from Coney Island in 1986 and I will be visiting regularly now.

Enjoyed a multi-course (forgot how many) meal at Gargiulo's in connection w/ the HeartShare Annual Gala (virtual this year). Got there late and asked others what was ideal to choose from the list of offerings. The suggestion was a rack of lamb. Wow. Incredibly tasty and bountiful. Well spiced, too. Preceded by an assortment of salads and appetizers (at place because of Covid) and followed by a delectable cannoli filled with rich tasty cream. What a wonderful culinary experience!

We had a party of 25 come in and Gargiulos’s did not disappoint! They were incredibly professional and the food was absolutely delicious. I was also very impressed at how perfectly everything was timed, considering the number of people we had. Each and every one of us raved about their dishes. Highly recommend for a party of 2 or 25. So glad we decided to have Gargiulos’s take care of us! What a wonderful experience.

Our go to special restaurant. We had a family get together and birthday party in one and weren't disappointed at all! From the point we stepped into the restaurant to the time we left we had a great experience. The food was great, the service was very good.

I’ve been going to Gargiulo’s for over 50 years. I used to be a regular when I lived in Brooklyn but since I moved I just go once in a while. It’s always a treat to be there. I have so many memories, it’s so nostalgic for me. The food, service and ambiance are still impeccable. I had to have my favorite pasta dish Fettuccine Verdi alla Gargiulo, it’s the best. My husband had the Mushroom Risotto, it was delicious. You must go to this Brooklyn legend.

Enjoyed our evening out with my grandkids and their families.
Arrived at 6 pm and utilized the valet parking. We were seated immediately at a
roomy table for six. Server very friendly. Rosie and I shared an appetizer of ceasar salad and mozzerella caroza. Both were tasty. My grandson ordered a shrimp cocktail which I felt was way overpriced at $ 17.50. Most of the crowd ordered chicken parm. I had shrimp parm which I felt was overly breaded with smaller shrimp. Bread served at the table was popular. Prices were fair. When we left a gentleman retrieved our car and had it brought to the front door. A nice touch. Also was happy to see an old friend eating with friends.
A couple of things...
We had to climb a few stairs to enter the dining room. I use a cane but made it.
After we were seated some gentleman came over with a laptop. It informed me that he couldn't find our reservation which I made by phone two days prior.
On the whole a good time but not sure about a repeat visit.

The traditional Italian food at Gargiulo’s is consistently superb and well-worth the trip to Coney Island. The restaurant is on a quiet side street near the boardwalk, rides, and subway (though Gargiulo’s offers off-street parking). Reliably delicious recipes are prepared with fresh, quality ingredients, and served in generous portions by a professional and warm staff. Prices are reasonable given the quality of the experience. The décor is old-Brooklyn elegant, with high ceilings and white tablecloths, though the family-friendly atmosphere is joyous and relaxed, not stuffy. Gargiulo’s is a classic, but as fresh and inviting as ever. It should be visited often and cherished and supported as a New York treasure.

I had high hopes for eating dinner at Gargiulo's for I had eaten there in the past.
My husband ordered eggplant rollatini as an appetizer. The portion was of 2 smallish rollatini for $16.50 which was quite pricey for such a small portion. My veal sorrentino had a lackluster sauce. Our waiter was very pleasant which made my dining experience acceptable.

I want to say I have been back here twice since my last review and it was great both times. I was most impressed on Easter with hundred of people seating the service and food were right on the money, even with that volume of people.

Fabulous goes without saying. Besides the amazing food, you feel like you are back in 1942 Brooklyn. Amazing service, amazing vibe. So worth it.

went for a family "reunion" of sorts. Had a group of 12 with a wide variety of tastes among us,including 2 vegans, and everyone was raving about the dishes they had.
Fried calamari was perfectly prepared crunchy and tender. Clams on the half shell and the zuppe de mussells started off the meal on a high note. The clams and macaroni was a big hit ,as was the broiled filet. The risotto pescatore that I ordered was delicious.
It's been quite some time since I've been to Gargiulo's and I can say that the food is just as good now as it has ever been. I'm glad my brother-in-law suggested this restaurant that I completely forgot about since we moved out of Coney Island many years ago. Excellent choice!
