A casual, slightly quirky little gem in Brooklyn Heights. It has great breakfast options (coffee, sandwiches) in the morning, but in the afternoon, walk to the back dining room for cafe style & bar seating and have a well-crafted cocktail (their Maple Woods is a nice bourbon drink). A limited menu, but what they have is done very well. We love to order appetizers so we'll get their hummus, polenta fries (a must!) and chicken skewers. It's reasonably priced, and you'll see some people on their laptops enjoying a nosh while working, and couples as well. For two of us having a couple of drinks each plus the apps, we were under $100 including tip. Great neighborhood spot! (And they have outdoor space too!)

Vineapple is on Pineapple Street. I know, what a cool name, right? They had some menu up front with baked goods right there, for anyone wanting to get some drinks and quick food to go. Since we were there to dine in, we walked towards the back. In the back, there were several tables and chairs, in a very cozy atmosphere. Through the back door, they have a lovely patio with tables and chairs as well. We went there for a brunch. We had Cold Brew because we wanted to get a drink in their pineapple glasses. LOL. Cold brew was strong and good coffee. We also had Sparkling Lavender Cucumber Matcha. It was a very interesting drink that works so well! Very refreshing, not sweet, not too fizzy. For food, we ordered Brunch Breakfast Sandwich and Shakshuka. Scramble egg was so moist and juicy! Bacon was crunchy. Parmesan fries were very potato-y. It was a really nice sandwich, very tasty and satisfying. I enjoyed every bite! With the Shakshuka, we added Chorizo for additional $5. Shakshuka was packed with flavor. Chorizo was amazing, egg was cooked perfectly, avocado was just ripe and fresh. It was a really nice shakshuka! We had such nice brunch there, we decided to go back for more! During our second visit, we ordered Shaken Lavender Latte. The coffee was strong, amazing taste with perfect sweetness. Very good latte! For food, this time, We went with The 71 Brunch Burger, and Bacon Egg & Cheese Pizza. The Burger, some say it is the best burger in Brooklyn and I can understand. It had full of flavor, super juicy, and bits of pineapples in there which were great. Pizza was much larger than expected. It would’ve been enough to share among the two people, plus maybe a dessert to share. It had lots of gooey eggs and bacon, it was a perfect brunch pizza. It was a really good pizza, so satisfying and filling. We had a really nice brunch here for the second time. During our both visits, server Eddy took care of us. He was very friendly, fun, and courteous. It has quickly become one of our favorite brunch spots!

There are always great options for brunch in Brooklyn and we were looking for the perfect place within a short walking distance of the Brooklyn Bridge and DUMBO on a recent weekend. On the fruit-inspired named streets of Brooklyn Heights, Vineapple pops out of the scenery of surrounding restaurants and spots. The front end has a to-go coffee and other options but in the back, there is a full restaurant with a secret garden seating area. Eddie welcomed us with the food and drink specials. Upon our earlier arrival, we saw the wave after wave of people coming in as the morning progressed. Also, make a reservation for the outdoor space because if you don't have it, the outdoor space was booked or it all can get rained out because it is not completely covered by a roof. For the drinks, their coffee is quite strong and it comes in cute glass pineapple-shaped glasses which makes it fun. I recommended going with a latter or one of their specialties. We have had the barista drink of the week, latte, and their cold brew. For the brunch menu, there are a ton of options but be careful about the sizing. I ordered the bacon egg cheese pizza and that item could easily feed two or three people so I would be mindful of the size. We have had a few different brunch items. 1. Shashuka has poached eggs, zesty marinara, avocado & parmesan, served with toasted bread and we added chorizo for an extra $5. 2. Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Pizza has pizza romano topped with bacon, egg, mozzarella and arugula. 3. The Brunch Breakfast sandwich has soft scrambled eggs with asiago, arugula, and house-made tomato jam, served with parmesan potatoes. Eddie and the staff made it special each time that we visited Vineapple and look forward to coming back soon.

I love pineapple and was excited to see Pineapple Street! This place was cute! We liked the inside, not as much pineapple as I thought but it was cozy. We got a table right away but then it filled up quickly. There was one server and she was on her game! Getting to every table on time, we got our food and drinks quickly, and it was friendly. I ordered a latte with caramel but it turns out they put mint in it, but I didn't complain because it was busy in there and I was able to drink it. No worries. We also got a sandwich with gluten-free bread and a bowl with veggies, which was nice. Overall, give this place a try! Why not?

Made this resy because it was the only one available at the time for our group. Ended up having a lovely meal and a great time. Service was very good - I would say authentic is the best way to describe it. The staff were very friendly and wanted to please our hot (literally not figuratively) lot. The steak definitely trumps the chicken by miles so don’t bother with the chicken. I didn’t taste the pasta but if we get back there I’d go with the pasta before chicken. The apps were excellent- we had two things with prosciutto but I can’t remember exactly their names. Would definitely go again and try some more dishes!! Prices were very user friendly if you know what I mean.

We popped into Vine Apple while walking Brooklyn. What a treat! We enjoyed the fun pineapple decor and friendly service. I ordered the pineapple street BLAT and my husband had the avocado toast. I really enjoyed my meal. My husband felt the pickles on the avocado toast was not a great combo. We were happy to get a table quickly given it was brunch hour!

Does this establishment have something against patrons who dine alone? My waiter was so neglectful to the point of being rude. I noticed he was extremely attentive to the other tables. The only difference I saw was that I was dining alone. Does this place have an issue with that? The food is good, and I live in the neighborhood. But I will likely steer my friends away from eating here because of the service. Staff needs to do better when people come in solo for a quick bite. I even left a good tip.

Always let the buyer beware is a good mantra. We stopped for a glass of house wine. Nice place and had a courtyard out back. Wine was a little small but tasted ok. Here is the beef! With tax $40 for two small glasses at 11 in the morning. Been here a few days and $11 a glass is norm, but $16. You have been warned.

Thanks for the feedback, our wines range from $10 to $18 per glass and are clearly marked as such on the menu…we don’t make any of them in house but have selected them for our guests enjoyment. We agree with the title of your review - everyone should pay attention

We were with two kids (2 and 3 yrs). They wouldn’t sit us inside even though there was plenty of tables available. They offered a table outside. It was 30 something!

Came here a few times, once for coffee only, and once for sandwiches. The sandwiches are custom-made, and the variety of choices is good. They also have cookies and slices of banana etc. bread, which are delicious! Will definitely be back.

Came in for breakfast with the family - three adults, one child. They are hi-tech which is OK - as a Software Engineer, I am not allergic to technology but it's somewhat bothersome and time consuming to deal with their implementation so we skipped the online menu access process and just ordered four very basic "dishes", the fanciest being a burrito. No drinks. The "avocado sandwich" turned out to be two small slices of bread with a couple of slices of avocado and a hint of salad on the side. Another dish contained the same slices of bread with two halves of an egg and the same hint of salad. Plus three coffees. We did not bother to check prices because no matter what they were we could afford afford them but (BUT!!!) $171+ check - yes, ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY ONE US DOLLARS WITH CENTS - was a joke, and not a funny one. From now on, "abuse" is spelled "vineapple café". If you decide to go there, treat this place as a hospital or a car dealership - expect an arbitrary and unreasonable bill for a questionable at best product. Do NOT expect any degree of business integrity.

Your review is completely false - it mentions multiple descriptions of dishes that don’t exist in our restaurant and nothing we serve is over $16 making your claimed price for 4 items completely impossible. Unfortunate that for some reason you choose to make things up - our menu is posted publicly and available both when you walk in on the wall and in printed form for any guest. In the future, you should put more effort in to paying attention rather than spending time trying to damage local businesses.

Nice Saturday brunch with a really good cup of coffee. Great vibe. Avocado toast was particularly good as was the breakfast burrito.

According to a report from Google maps on Feb 24, 2020, it seems Vineapple is closed permanently. Website is down, phone number gets an operator and their social media is unattended to since 2019.
