Great place in Brooklyn to eat healthy. Champs offers a wide variety of meals/sandwiches that are vegan but you swear you’re eating meat. It’s a great little restaurant that serves a great meal that is also healthy for you. Service was really great and helpful in offering suggestions and accommodating to requests. You won’t be disappointed

Tasty breakfast/lunch options! The meal itself was a perfect size and tasted really good. However, you’re able to get more affordable vegab breakfast/lunch in NYC. Still, definitely a good option.

The food doesn’t seem vegan — carnivore friends would feel comfortable! Mine did! I had the breakfast plate with tofu scramble, bacon, sausage, hash browns, and pancakes. The pancakes were light & fluffy. I also had a milkshake that was delicious! The hash browns could have been cooked a little longer. The server was polite and professional. The space is tight, typical of most NYC eateries. We went during lunch time during the week and were seated upon arrival. We were not rushed and service was pretty prompt. My friend (not vegan) had a speciality burger & fries — she said it was great & she took 1/2 home because it was huge! I will definitely be back!

Excellent food both times we’ve visited - this time we had the chicken and waffles and it really didn’t disappoint.
But don’t make the mistake of sitting outside - they basically just serve you take away. No proper cutlery or a plate and far too much packaging. We haven’t had that issue elsewhere in NYC and we weren’t warned beforehand which was a shame.

There was a long wait for a table but once we sat down, we found the wait was work every minute. The food was pretty awesome and my family and I can't wait to go back. Everything was seasoned just right, the presentation was lovely, the service was not bad. It was very busy but our server came back to check on us. My only thing, the table sizes are too small there was not enough for all of our dishes so we had to combine them, and the tables are too close together. But we will go back, it is a good vegan restaurant and we enjoyed the food.

Good food. Really bad service. Waiter, ponytail and beard, was extremely rude with us. He basically didn’t care about our table. We never coming back

We ate here for the first time and rode the L train from Manhattan to Montrose Avenue and it was almost shocking how small Champs is. But the all-vegan food is so good, you would eat it in closet.
We ordered the mozzarella sticks and seitan wings as starters and were in heaven. Our main dishes were the Po Boy and Buffalo Chik’N sandwiches. Both exceptional but we regret not mixing it up more. The birthday cake shake was a big hit for the teenager in the family.
It’s easily 4.5 stars. Didn’t give five because nothing is perfect the time. My advice is to order several dishes and share. The menu has way too temptations and you are certainly going to want to taste everything.
Come hungry! And save up because it’s not cheap eats.

Great place for food whether you’re vegan or not. I’d recommend the mozzarella sticks and any of the burgers. The staff were also super friendly. Be warned that you may have to wait for a table but they have a good system for that

OMG this place is amazing. Such a great atmosphere. All the staff we interacted with were amazing, so friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are gender neutral. The portions are big (especially compared with UK averages!) So we ended up getting half of each portion to go - a lot of other people were doing the same, and everything was still good as leftovers. The bbq seitan wings were good but wow the cubano sandwich was something else! I cannot reccomend this place enough. I had wanted to visit as soon as I heard about it and I am so glad we did.

We went to Champs Diner in Brooklyn for lunch. I had the Vegan Cubano with fries which was excellent. My carnivorous friend had the Vegan Reuben that he said did not taste like real corned beef, although it did to me. Keep in mind that I haven't eaten corned beef since '89. I had a cappuccino with coconut milk to drink. My friend has a ginger shot.I do think the prices at Champs Diner is expensive.

Staff were fantastic, food was fantastic, can't wait to go back!!The menu has something for everyone, it's one of the best restaurants I've eaten in. The waitresses were so friendly too. ❤️😋

Pancakes aren't that hard to accomplish...so why the raw center? I was so looking forward to the 'hug in my mouth' cinnamon pancakes I kept hearing about. Unfortunately I wasn't the only customer in the restaurant at the time to had received under-cooked pancakes. At least the cinnamony and sugared frosting on them were delicious. Not to mention my sister's grits were nice - ideal for a light but satisfactory lunch. Super busy however. Wait time was like 45 min to an hour (@ 12pm on a Saturday) and it didn't help that there was construction going on right outside. At least a donut place was nearby... :)

I come to the area to see my daughter and it's close to the top of her list of eateries. No problem, i will go any time - it's a nice place, lovely staff and the food is delicious. (My girl noticed the prices went up a bit since we were last there. Darn, that happens. But the quality is worth the price to me!)

Lovely staff, good vegan food! Only thing we did not like was the vegan cheese sauce, but other than that: it was really good!

We with my daughter during our vacation to New York. The venue is full of atmosphere and the food was fantastic, portions really large and being English we made the mistake of not sharing a dish but ordered one each. I had the Philly steak sub and my daughter had the mac & cheese and a burger. We had so much to eat we had enough food for breakfast and lunch the next day. Staff helpful and patient as we got our heads around the menu and other diners were really friendly. Probably the best vegan meals we have had.
