Just what we were looking for....

We were in town visiting family in Brooklyn and on Thanksgiving morning I was determined to find delicious Brooklyn donuts for my kids. I called around and mostly struck out, but the Dun Well lady said "yes, we're open" before I could even ask. Boom. Sold. Drove over, walked in, ordered a half dozen of their finest and delivered to my brood. Everyone loved all the donuts- apple cider, French toast, maple glazed, triple chocolate, etc. Just fantastic, and I think the server (who I surmise is the owner) sneaked in a seventh donut. Please eat these donuts.

So many yummy donuts!

We came in here while on a bike tour and picked up a couple of donuts as a snack. There were many interesting flavours and the place smelled so good! Donuts were fresh and not too sweet. Highly recommend!

If you are in the neighborhood don't pass these up...Dun Well offers a great selection and the donuts taste. so. fresh. Yumm!

Best doughnuts (even vegan)

After a 2 hours walk in the Bushwick’s industrial landscape to shoot the graffitis we landed there per accident but we were very lucky. Yummy doughnuts in a small shop. I can't say that we had the warmest welcome from the waitress but it was ok. However the doughnuts are definitely worth it.

Just ok...

I stopped in and the line was short, yet I waited a long time, why. When I finally made it to the front of the line, I realized that it was 1 person doing everything behind the counter, hhhmmm... On a Saturday afternoon/early evening? So that in itself was turnoff. The donuts were ok, not bad, but nothing special or unique, so I will not be going back.

Doughnuts and More

First off, this place is vegan. I didn't know that until after I had my first doughnut. I never would have guessed that vegan doughnuts would be so good. My first visit was before I learned how many great vegan restaurants there are in the NYC area. Dun Well will always be my go to place when I am in town. I stopped back in later in the day and had ice cream and a cool drink. The staff is friendly. I could tell there were lots of regulars because of the staff interaction. I enjoyed people watching, charging my phone, and using the wifi, too.

Most doughnuts delicious, coffee questionable

I've ordered several kinds of doughnuts on my visit. Standard glazed and chocolate ring doughnuts were delicious (I wouldn't be able to separate them from a Krispy Kreme) but the cream in the cream filled doughnut didn't taste of anything and the gingerbread coffee contained so much gingerbread it couldn't taste any coffee in it.

A taste of heaven

The best place for a vegan breakfast. The donuts are all hand made, sweet and are very light in the stomach. The waitress was not the fastest but very kind. The delicious donuts all tasted different, one better than the other.

My favorite Breakfast in NYC

I do not know what to say. "Thank you" is not enough. I adore this place. Have been there in 2016 with my fiancee and enjoyed plenty of delicious donuts. We could not believe how amazing they were. And they are vegan. My favorite was the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Donut. Incredible!

Delicious Doughnuts and Cute Space!

So many options including classics as well as interesting new flavors. All of the doughnuts we tried were amazing — very fluffy and tasty! They were pretty reasonably priced, too. There were a signs stating that members of certain animal sanctuaries get discounts, which I really loved.

The place is super cozy! The doughnuts are amazing and the Matcha latte is really strong. Not expensive at all, and the staff is super nice!! Loved it!! Definitely will be back soon.

Americas BEST Vegan Doughnuts

Let me get this out in the open. I am vegan, have traveled all over the USA and have been on the hunt for that perfect vegan doughnut... Dun Well Doughnuts have won that award in my book. Located in a street with lots of cafes and shops, Dun Well Doughnuts is appeasing from the outside and in! Beautiful, vintage themed doughnut shop with so much to look at. Then you walk up to the doughnut case and just think WOW, so many vegan doughnut choices. The man working was friendly and packaged up my 3 doughnuts I eagerly ordered- I had read so many great things about this place, I was thinking are the reviews right? They had a fresh cart coming out from the back looking like they where going to refill the doughnut case, and he grabbed all the fresh ones off the cart instead of the case for me. Myself and my friend where blown away by how amazing these doughnuts where. Strawberry, vanilla, chocolate and blueberry PB, each one was a treat. They have a great texture, cakey, rich, flavorful, with fresh sweet frosting on top. I have been to a vegan doughnut shop in Philadelphia, Denver and the famous Voo Doo in Portland, and Dun Well Doughnuts wins in first place for the best vegan doughnuts. Now I am far away from Brooklyn, and dreaming of these tasty doughnuts. Go, enjoy and try as many as you can... you will fall in love.
