While in NYC & Brooklyn to celebrate Valentine’s Day & my birthday, we decided to try the Lobster Joint after reading its reviews. We made a great choice! My husband ordered a Connecticut Roll with a side of Onion Rings; I choose their Fish & Chips. We also shared a bowl of Clam Chowder. All of our food was served hot; everything was really good quality & the taste was awesome. The restaurant had a nice nautical theme & it was clean. Our waitress Mackenzie H was pleasant & was glad to explain the items on the menu that we weren’t familiar with. I would recommend the Lobster Joint for those who love seafood.

Looking for a fun New England-style seafood joint? You probably don't think "Hey, let's head to Greenpoint." But maybe you should. Found this place by chance. Was planning to go to the lobster place down by the Brooklyn Bridge, but that didn't work out and Yelp steered me to a long G train ride to here. I'd never been to Greenpoint, and was seriously skeptical when I saw Manhattan Avenue - it simply doesn't look like the location for a good seafood place. But - the reception from the bartender/waiter was excellent. This was a really hot day, and before I was even sitting at the bar he had an ice water poured & handed it across with a pleasant greeting. And the great service never stopped. The Connecticut lobster roll here is pretty excellent, especially given the price (very reasonable by NYC standards) and the overall quality (it's smallish, but splendid). Definitely headed back here next summer.

They're served with butter, only, in a sliced hot-dog roll, and the lobster meat is warm ($19). My wife's Lobster Salad ($22) was stuffed with big pieces of lobster, and avocado: wonderful! The side of Pickles and Cole Slaw (only $3!) had three whole, tasty pickles, and under-spiced coleslaw that could use a kick. A water glass of Sauvignon Blanc ($9) was a bargain. We'll be back.

Haven't been here for several months and all is not well. Menu has shrunk in offers (especially veggies) and market fresh offerings. My comfort food staple--clams strips--use to taste like clams (not tonite). Server attitude/treatment straddled indifferent and hostilely indifferent. It's easy to part with a lot of money here; DONT

Reasonably priced lobster rolls and the place has a real New England lobster Joint type feeling. If the weather is nice, eat in the backyard. We mistakenly ordered the Lobster Mac and Cheese but glad we ended up with it as it was delicious! It's also huge but thankfully it's served in a takeout-ready tray. The only knock is we got a lot of little lobster "legs" in our order but the people next to us got claws and big chunky bits. The only difference is they ordered a Connecticut lobster roll. Hmmm...

A really nice place to go to after a long day of sightseeing. The staff is welcoming and food good. Crabcakes and fish tacos are recommended!

This seafood spot is a staple in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. I'm proud they've made so many foodie lists in NYC, but I also hate it because I selfishly want to keep this spot to myself ;) Their food is great, a huge selection. Their brunch prefix is a great deal and every one who works there is fantastic.

Really delicious seafood, excellent beer and wine in an informal and laid back atmosphere. The people who run the place and serve are really pleasant. It's not 'fine dining' or anything near, but the food was high quality ingredients, very well cooked and presented. Good value too.

Ate here recently with my GF late on a Sunday after she bugged me for lobster. They have a ton of options from entree plates to a la carte seafood to vegetable sides. We split the lobster dinner along with an order of popcorn shrimp and two beers. The popcorn shrimp were delicious, as was the lobster, and the lobster was served with roasted potatoes, corn on the cobb and coleslaw. All of the sides were very good, the potatoes especially had an almost-sweet quality to the seasoning that I found really interesting. I also appreciated the coleslaw was not swimming in mayonnaise. The bill came out to about $60 before tip which seemed very reasonable. For comparison, the lobster dinner at Greenpoint Fish & Lobster is the same size and same price ($35) but comes with no sides. The atmosphere is very relaxed; they have a couple TVs playing sports, the decor is reminiscent of any beachside seafood shack you've been to and waiters don't take your order - instead you order at the bar counter and then a server brings you your food. It's far enough off the beaten path in Greenpoint that you shouldn't have to worry about crowds or waits. Definitely recommend if you're in the mood for seafood and don't want to break the bank.

On busiest street in north greenpoint, small restaurant. Very friendly, smiling and helpful staff, limited menu mostly seafood, adequate quantities, try the delicious crab cakes. Moderate prices, very quick service, nothing fancy, but the charm is there. Smile and they’ll smile right back at you.

We finally managed to pop in for lunch after being in the Greenpoint area for a few days. We had two sliders and a side which were excellent and kept us going until our flight home. We also had an enjoyable chat with Bernardo and look forward to returning.

Some of the freshest seafood I've experienced since leaving California. After the Gin Distillery tour at Greenhook Ginsmiths we took a 7min walk to this establishment. First we had brunch, two of us ordered the lobster Benedict and my other friend ordered the lobster huevos rancheros. We left nothing on our plates. The mimosas that came with brunch had the perfect ratio of champagne to orange juice. We also ordered some raw oysters and friend calmari. Both were great choices. We were so impressed by this joint that we left, got my friend's mom and came back for dinner. We ordered the muscles as an appetizer. They were fresh, succulent and huge. Two of us ordered the lobster roll club, one ordered the crab roll and my friend's mom ordered the Connecticut lobster roll. The lobster roll was good but not as good as the Benedict I had for brunch. My friend's mom said her lobster roll was bland. My friend had no complaints about her crab roll. We each ordered two cocktails all of them were good. I definitely want to return again to try more of their menu offerings.

Certainly different to a ‘run of the mill’ English restaurant but this place is excellent. The staff are welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. The menu focused (as you might expect) on Lobster and the three all slightly different types of lobster meals were so good. You certainly get a warm welcome here with good service and excellent freshly prepared food. Certainly worth a visit!

We sat in the garden, as it was unseasonably hot. The food was great, and so were the cocktails. There was a large screen with the football on, but it wasn't too much. This is a very relaxed place, and felt really comfortable.
