Love this spot. Tried it for the first time with my wife and kids. The kids pasta and the kids burger (only $15) were devoured without encouragement. My wife and I tried the short rib and on our server Stephan's insistence the Brussels sprouts. The wine selection is mediocre, although Stephan was able to recommend a decent wine, the list needs serious work. They have either cheap stuff or very expensive bottles.
All in all great though. We will be back.

We had an impromptu dinner at the Osprey after a lovely jaunt across the Brooklyn bridge. We were parched and really in the mood for a glass of Sancerre. We hung out at the bar talking to Luis for awhile and he spoke so highly of the food that we decided to get a table.
Our server Adam was a perfect spirit guide for our experience, deftly navigating through fields of American pinot noirs and accommodating my husbands inconvenient and severe allergies. Ahmed, a busboy was very earnest and helpful...when Adam was too busy to take our drink order, he kindly grabbed another waiter and relayed the message. We had an Asian-inspired short rib with a rich and fragrant coconut sauce, some Brussels sprouts with Yuzu, and a light panna cotta. 5/5, 10/10 we will be back!!!!

I had heard a few good things about this place so I decided to do some “recon” for possible date spots. My server, Chris, was the perfect balance of friendly and professional. I didn’t feel rushed to order, and she explained the menu items as if she knew the whole menu like the back of her hand (which is nice since a lot of servers tend to simply go down the line). I had a tough time deciding and took her recommendation on what to eat and what wine to pair it with. It turns out she has great taste too because I savored every bite of the Hen of the Woods Mushroom and the Short Rib, washing it down with some Pinot noir. Can’t wait to go back!

My wife and I brought our two daughters and their friend for a xmas eve meal that was outstanding. My girls had the lobster risotto, while I had the filet. Our waiter Brendan was on point every step of the way. We really liked his suggestions and served us effortlessly. The manager and chef came out to wish our table a happy christmas, which was very nice and really impressed my older daughter. For dinner we had a sampling across all five of us. The mouse was absolutely amazing. Kudos to Brendan and the entire staff at The Osprey. We hope to come back next year.

The 1 Hotel is actually one of our 2 final wedding venue choices. We decided to take it upon ourselves to dine-in at The Osprey after work one weeknight, just as normal patrons (& not as potential wedding Clients). The service, the atmosphere, the views & the cuisine are absolutely unparalleled. As native New Yorkers, this is one of the reasons why we love this city so much & restaurants like The Osprey that really exemplify the allure of Dumbo, Brooklyn, New York, however you embrace it. And if you’re lucky enough to have Ronal as your server, rest assured: you’re in the absolute best of hands.

Kamila the host was so sweet she even came to our table to make sure we were happy and having a good time, Augustin our waiter was attentive and patient with us while we decide on what to order. The food was delicious and the environment was so cozy and welcoming. The view of NYC was gorgeous on the roof.

We had a fantastic meal last night at the Osprey. Chris was our server and she was absolutely brilliant. This is the second time we have had Chris and she made the night very memorable. The half chicken was delicious and huge with a side is the best Brussel sprouts I have tasted in a long time. We will be back again soon.

My appetizer and dinner was fabulous. Hen of the woods is my favorite appetizer and the Diver Scallops was delicious. My server Stephan was great. He suggested a Japanese whiskey drink that was so good. This is my second time coming to the Osprey and the food was delicious for the second time. I recommend this place to anyone that is in the area of DUMBO.

Me and my boyfriend initially came as we wanted to visit harriets rooftop above the hotel but when we arrived there was still a few hours until it opened. Instead, we sat at the bar at the osprey and was greeted in such a welcoming manner straight away. We got talking to Angie who was probably the nicest person we met on our trip, she was so helpful and told us a few a places we should visit while on our holiday in New York. I’m quite fussy with cocktails so when I was struggling to find one I wanted on the menu Angie didn’t hesitate to make me something random up as I like fruity drinks. It was delicious and she didn’t seem to mind whatsoever. After a couple of drinks Angie went out her way upstairs to the rooftop bar to find out when it was opening and when she came back down she advised she could take us up as it had just opened. Just the cherry on top as it was one of the main things we wanted to do on our holiday due to the amazing views. Thanks so much Angie and also the gent who was also working behind the bar. The staff are a credit to the hotel, the food also looked delicious but we didn’t manage to eat! A nice extra touch was the cards they give out for feedback, as you can plant them after and they grow into wildflowers. Amazing!

came here on a whim after walking through Brooklyn all day. our feet were tired our bellies were empty and we stumbled across the Osprey. weary and ragged we were greeted by a chipper and accommodating gentleman, (jamal i think was his name) he had my gfs and i in stitches 😂. we were seated and IMMEDIATELY greeted by chris who is the most knowledge and attentive server i’ve ever experienced. she gave us the absolute best recommendations and wine pairings. we learned so much about wine from this dining experience, we can’t thank chris enough.
i highly recommend this spot. the food was so inventive and so well prepared. will definitely recommend this place and be back!!!

My friend and I went for Brunch this weekend. The Osprey has outstanding service and a welcoming and refreshing environment. The food is fantastic; the presence, textures, and flavors are a unique experience for the senses.
Osprey Breakfast is well balanced; the parmesan potatoes are divine! Crispy and full all flavor, the roasted tomato and the chicken sausage left you satisfied.
The Ube Monchi Pancakes are a must! Seriously words do not make justice. The combination of sweet potatoes with blueberries and coconut cream is a dream.
We also tried the Yuzu-Lemon Cheesecake. The crumble cracker with the lemon cream and matcha cake plus a cup of coffee. Wow!

A great venue and great restaurant. 4 girlfriends from London also enjoyed the ground floor before we ate and then the rooftop bar later on with great views of Brooklyn Bridge.
We didn't mind at all missing the 4th July fireworks going on around us as the focus for us was on the food and wine - simply lovely.
Chef Dan Churchill and his team gave us a wonderful evening full of laughter and it was a pleasure to chat with him and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening with his excellent menu.
I highly recommend you visit and experience the atmosphere and Dan's quality cuisson for yourself.

The standout feature of The Osprey is their exceptional customer service, delivered with a remarkable level of professionalism. Whether it's the servers or the manager, everyone made us feel incredibly well taken care of. Among the delectable offerings, the small plates and desserts were particularly memorable and became instant favorites of mine.

utterly delicious! Started off with fresh baked focaccia and a glass of Sauvignon blanc, tried the spicy carrot dip, endive salad with candied walnuts and goat cheese. I then had the poached halibut with broccolini, so delicious and fresh. For desert I had the apple crumble with a scoop of vanilla. Service was excellent and both the server and bartender were extremely knowledgeable & made the best recommendations. The manager checked up on me and ensured I was having the best possible experience. 5 out of 5, definitely worth the visit for the food, ambiance, and breathtaking views

We visited 1 Hotel to have brunch at their restaurant' The Osprey'. It was a lovely occasion, being with family in New York, and the restaurant lived up to our expectations. The setting is amazing, so close to the Brooklyn Bridge, and the hotel ambience is relaxed reflecting the contemporary design of the hotel. We were there on a busy Sunday morning but despite the crowd, service was good. The manager on our visit was particularly helpful and my recollection is that her name is Laura....she was friendly and professional and a great ambassador for the restaurant. With such good food and relaxed atmosphere, we will definitely make a return visit next time we visit Brooklyn.
